Halloween

It's a quiet day here in Beacon Academy.

The sun is out, the birds are singin-

"IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!"

Okay, maybe the birds aren't signing.

"Fuck..." Yang groaned.

"Ruby, it's 12 AM..." Blake moaned out.

"And it's October 31! You know what that mean!?" Ruby is shrouded in a red tornado before revealing a large electronic sign with the words "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" on it causing everyone to hiss at the intense lights.

"It's my birthday!" Ruby exclaims.

Weiss opens one eye to see the ridiculous sign. "How much did you spend on that?"

Ruby gives the heiress a sheepish look. "Well... I may or may not have used your credit card to buy it."

Now this caused Weiss to open both of her eyes. "YOU WHAT!?"

"But it's my birthday!" Ruby defends herself.

Weiss immediately grabs her Scroll and checks her bank account. "You little brat! You maxed it out!"

Yang finally gets the strength to do the deed. "Why don't you go see Jaune, sis? I bet he'll have something for you."

Ruby's eyes were as wide as, well, rubies. "That's a great idea, sis! He's my boyfriend so HE HAS to have a present for me!"

"You mean our boyfriend, right?" Blake points out.

"Eh, potato-potatoh. BYE!" She dashes out the door in a fury of rose petals.

"You are evil, Xiao-Long." Weiss comments.

"Hey, I need my beauty sleep. It's Oum's fault for giving her a holiday that's also her birthday." Yang spits out.

Weiss turns to Blake. "And since when is he your boyfriend?"

The cat girl shrugs. "It's a Faunus thing, don't worry about it." She goes back to sleep.

Later

Jaune and his team were sleeping comfortably in the room, without a care-

A wild Ruby kicks the door to bits. "Wake up, Team JNPR!" 

Oh, why do I bother?

"Mm, ish thath Norah?" A half-asleep Jaune asks.

"Nope!" Ruby said.

Jaune opens his eyes. "Ruby?"

"That's right, and guess what!? IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!" Ruby exclaims.

"Oh... happy birthday." Jaune goes back to sleep.

"Wake up!" Ruby punches Jaune in the gut.

"OW! Jaune cried. "What the fuck, Ruby!?"

"Where's my present!?" Ruby demands.

Jaune, now fully awake, gives her a look. "Present? What makes you think I have a present?"

"Because you're my boyfriend and its my birthday, duh!" Ruby begins searching the dorm. "Is it here!? Is it under your bed!?" She then finds a magazine and opens it... only for her head to light up like a Christmas tree. "Whoa."

"Knock it off!" Jaune takes the magazine off Ruby's hands. "Look, I don't have a present for you, so how about I take you out instead? My treat."

"Really?" Ruby asks and the blond nods. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou!"

"You're welcome. Now can I go back to bed, please?" Jaune asks before he gets a kiss on his cheeks.

"I love you, Jaune." Ruby whispers before dashing out of the room.

With a sigh, Jaune collapses back to his bed.

"Is she finally gone?" Ren asks.

"Yup."

"Good thing she did. I think Nora was ready to kill her." Pyrrha remarks as view switches to a sleep-deprived Nora with a large kitchen knife in her hand.

"Where she even get the knife? Oh whatever, g'night." Jaune said and finally falls back to sleep.

The Next Day

We see Jaune Arc in downtown Vale in his civilian outfit. "Vale has sure come a long way since the attack last year. It still feels like it was only a dream."

"JAUNE!" The blond knight turns to the familiar voice.

"Wow." Jaune was in awe.

Ruby twirls before striking a sensual pose. "What do you think?~"

"Love it. Really shows off your abs." Jaune remarks.

Ruby blushes. "R-Really? D-Do you like my abs, Jaune?"

"Mhm." Jaune nods. "I like yours, Yang's, Pyrrha's, and Weiss'. I still haven't seen Blake's or Velvet's yet, but they should be good."

"Oh really?~" Ruby smirks before realizing something. "Wait, Velvet?"

"Yeah. She kind of confessed to me after Pyrrha and Yang." Jaune states.

"Love rival." Ruby whispers under her breath.

"I'm sorry?"

"I said 'let's go to that arcade over there!'" Ruby exclaims.

Jaune chuckles. "Lead the way, petal."

The couple proceed to spend the entire day together, going to many fun places in the city. They went to the arcades, dance clubs, the library, that weapon shop that Ruby really likes (much to the owner's annoyance), and finally the memorial site to pay their respects to the fallen.

The sun slowly descends on the horizon as Ruby and Jaune walk through the streets of Vale. Street lights slowly turn themselves on as children can be seen running around in their Halloween costumes.

Ruby hugs Jaune's arm tightly. "I've had a great time today, Jaune. Thank you."

"It's no problem, petal. I just want you to be happy on your special day." Jaune gives her a bright smile.

Ruby's smile turned mischievous. "Well then, how we end this day with a bang." She points towards something.

Jaune looks to where she's pointing and sees a sign for a Halloween party. "You wanna go there?"

"Umu! It would mean the world to me!" Ruby said.

"But we don't have costumes." Jaune points out.

Ruby's smile just gets wider. "That's an easy fix. I saw costume shop nearby." She proceeds to lead Jaune to the shop. "Let's go!"

They couple arrive at the shop and quickly find their costumes and go to the changing rooms. Not long after, they step out wearing their costumes.

Jaune looks at himself in a mirror and nods. "This will do."

"Hey Jaune."

"All set Ru... by...?" Jaune turns to see the costume Ruby chose.

"D-Don't look!" Ruby screamed as her face was atomic red. "It was the only one that fit me!"

Jaune just stares at her, his mind having come to a complete halt.

"Y-You..." Jaune tries to come up with the words. "You're beautiful."

If Ruby's face couldn't get any redder, she'd be a tomato. "T-Thanks. Y-You l-look good y-yourself."

Jaune extends his hand to Ruby. "Shall we go, my lady?"

"Mm." Ruby slowly reaches out and grabs his hand. They leave the shop and eventually reach the building where the Halloween party's taking place. 

Everyone in the party immediately turn their heads to the Lancaster couple. The females focus on the robust and handsome blonde knight while the males focus on Ruby and her *cough* *cough* riskee outfit.

"Jaune... everyone's staring." Ruby mutters.

"Let them. I want them to know that they can't reach you." Jaune told her as he keeps her close.

"Hey is that... Jaune!"

The duo turn to see their respective teams in their own costumes.

"Damn, you guys look awesome." Jaune said.

"Looking good there, sis." Yang comments on Ruby's costume before noticing her chest. "Damn, your almost as big as me. Keyword being 'almost'."

"S-Shut up, Yang!"

"Man, you three look great." Jaune says to his team.

"Thanks, Fearless Leader. It makes the effort worth it." Nora said.

"The fur cape is a little itchy though." Pyrrha remarks as she scratches herself.

"At least you don't look like fan art of a fanfiction character." Ren comments as he hears a few giggles in the background.

"Well, at least you don't have to carry this thing around." Blake groans as she struggles to lift her sword. "Seriously, why did I get a real sword?"

"Hey, mine's real too and you don't see me complaining." Weiss says as she twirls her sword with finesse.

Blake's eye twitches. "Well, yours isn't the size of an actual person, now is it?"

Yang breaks them up. "Hey, hey, we came here to have a good time. Besides Blake, you were the one who lost the bet remember?"

Blake rolls her eyes. "Whatever."

"Great. It's party time!" 

They all party all night long. Everyone is laughing, drinking, and dancing as well as eating a ridiculous amount of candy.

"Hey, Jaune? This is the best birthday/Halloween I've ever had." Ruby said.

"I'm happy your happy, Ruby." Jaune said.

"Can't wait Christmas though. I hope you have something that can top this." Ruby said causing Jaune freeze in place.

'Oh gods no.' Jaune thought as memories of last year flood his mind.

Needless to say, Jaune didn't get a wink of sleep that night.

And here's another update. I just needed to get this out for Ruby's birthday and this has been in my mind for a while now.

Anyways, next update's is on its way. I am not sure when I'll be posting it but I'm not going to leave you guys out to dry. I'll think of something.
