04: Let’s Try Using Magic

 

Now that I had managed to release my mana, I moved on to studying magic itself.

Spring had arrived. It was now the month of ‘Early Spring,’ which meant I must have spent nearly another month poring over books.

Naturally, my study spot was still the home of Joab, the gardener.

「You study so hard, milady. You really are a diligent young lady.」

「Thank you!」

Joab had no mana, so even when I was reading books on magic, he praised me for it every day.

I could have tried using magic right away, but I wanted to have a proper understanding of it before I began. I was quite a thoughtful person, you see.

My friends in my previous life had called me a musclehead on more than a few occasions, but this brain of mine was perfectly capable of thinking things through!
