[Serious Discussion] Will the Puppet Butterfly Crush the Black Goat? Knowledgeable Only
No.0 (OP):
Title says it all, has everyone been following the recent battle by the River of Destiny?
No.1 (OP):
Let me share my thoughts first. My hometown once had some cults worshipping evil deities, leading to countless tragedies, so I originally had no love for ancient beings like the Ill Fate Witch.
But who would’ve thought she’d turn her blade against the Old Gods, even going down with them… My feelings are complicated. What do you all think?
No.2:
Such a huge event—the entire occult world must be losing their minds over it. Of course, I’ve been following it.
No.3:
Don't mind if I do. I was lucky enough to witness it live (*straightens tie*) (*clears throat*) (*takes a bow*).
No.4:
So jealous of the above. My friend was nearby at the time and desperately tried to ping me, but once They started fighting, the power surges and corruption were just too intense. The River of Destiny materializing in the physical world almost locked down the entire area, so I was SOL…
No.5:
+1, had to rely on hearsay. Damn, what a bummer!
No.6:
I watched the recording!
No.7:
? How do you even have a recording?
No.8:
Are we watching a high-tier blockbuster here?
No.9:
Replying to the above, some kind spectators used recording crystals to record the battle, saving this historic moment~ You can find them in the forum’s trading section. Prices range slightly based on recording quality, but the most expensive is a mere 20 points.
No.10:
Nice! Snagging the clearest VIP footage now—I can spare the points!
No.11:
Also watched the recording. Treasure this while you can—this might be the final glimpse the Ill Fate Witch leaves in this world.
No.12:
Well… after watching, I feel just as conflicted as OP…
A dangerous, mercurial bad girl like her should’ve doubled down as a villain to the end. Why suddenly do something good when everyone already thought she was a monster?
No.13:
A single act—maybe her last. (candle)
No.14:
Replying to No.12, maybe after a lifetime of villainy, she just wanted a heroic exit for once (sigh).
No.15:
Sigh… if the witch had just been another vengeful spirit returning to wreak havoc, the Gods' Playground has no shortage of such heartless monsters—nothing memorable. But now… she’s truly become an unforgettable "black moonlight" ().
No.16:
Last month, I was ranting to my buddy that 80% of this world’s chaos could be blamed on terrifying, evil beings like the Ill Fate Witch… but… *sniffle* My bad qwq
No.17:
There there, it’s not your fault.
No.18:
After all, who saw this coming?
No.19:
She was the "Witch Who Wields the Dark Side of Fate," the "Angel of Infinite Doom"!
No.20:
Wreaking havoc on the almighty Old Gods still counts as bringing disaster, right? (lmao)
No.21:
Such an unexpected twist… it’s got me crying over here…
No.22 Playground Twisted Fan:
GAHHHH I don’t get it! How could Ill Fate suddenly become such a hero? Sacrificing herself to perish with the Old Gods—it’s too tragic, so unlike her! Why didn’t she just keep following the bloodlust of her Ability, or blindly follow the Old Gods’ control and play the villain to survive? Is this supposed to make us keep hating her, or feel grateful and mourn her?
No.23 Playground Twisted Fan:
I’m so messed up over this, I can’t figure it out, not at all… With both Ill Fate and the black goat—two high-risk threats—gone, it should be a cause for celebration, so why don’t I feel happy? Am I losing it?
No.24:
Uh, OP (hesitates to speak)
No.25:
The above’s words reek of hate, but your words betray you. Might as well rename yourself "Ill Fate Witch Twisted Fan" (x)
No.26 Playground Twisted Fan:
…Like I haven't tried? It was freaking taken!
No.27:
Jeez, this username is so popular??
No.28 Ill Fate Witch Twisted Fan:
Hahaha, yep, that’s me.
No.29 Ill Fate Witch Twisted Fan:
That evil yet self-sacrificing woman, you truly toyed with all our emotions. I won’t forget you. I’ll keep watching you, always watching... always...

№30:
Oh, how terrifying, just like the twisted chef of Lord Fate I saw before! (horrified)
№31:
If I may ask, do all beings in the Domain of Fate attract twisted followers like this?
№32:
Who knows? (shrugs)
№33 (OP):
Cough, cough, cough, everyone, let's stay on topic!
I'm still puzzled; the witch clearly had no motive to resist the Old Gods with her life.
№34:
Let's seriously analyze the thoughts of the Witch of Doom. I believe there has always been one point overlooked—her own will.
№35:
What is she really thinking? No one can know. What we have seen before was her under the control and direction of the Old Gods.
Whether it be death or resurrection, from beginning to end, it has all served the ambitions of the Old Gods, not her own actions... But, could such an ancient and powerful high-ranking being truly be content to be a mere puppet? She must have her pride and dignity, and likely does not wish to be a puppet of the black goat, right?
№36:
To die with dignity and freedom... An intriguing perspective.
№37:
Coming down from the tower, I don't think we should view the witch as some purely benevolent savior. People aren't simply black or white; her terrifying legends weren't baseless either.
№38:
Agreed, and besides, a powerful person doesn't need this kind of "whitewashing" pity—she's neither as good nor as bad as that, but she is undoubtedly a charismatic force.
№39:
+1, I have a feeling that regardless of good or evil, and irrespective of others' gazes or judgments, the witch will ultimately choose to end things—
Madly, grandly, at the center of all attention, pulling the lofty "controller" down into the abyss with her... Perhaps this aligns with her aesthetics of death?
№40:
Just as the witch said herself: "Whoever forces me to kneel shall be dragged into this vortex of chaos and misfortune."
№41:
Admirable, such incredible courage and strong initiative.
№42:
I can't help but admit, I'm a bit captivated by this ambiguous charm.
Leaving aside other matters, the witches' performance in this war alone was astonishing! The video footage alone is breathtaking; it's hard to imagine what it must have been like live.
I was fortunate enough to be there! How can I describe it?
The butterflies, so tiny and fragile before the river of fate and the black lambs, seemed so vulnerable, yet it was precisely these fluttering swarms that dragged the old gods into the abyss...
I might as well add, Record Sister really has her fingers on the pulse, always knowing where the action is.
You're one of our forum’s frontline reporters, and you’re saying this?
Just as a goat wouldn’t expect to be killed by a butterfly, the Old Gods probably never anticipated that They would be betrayed and destroyed by Their own puppets.
The innate deities often look down upon the minuscule beings in Their palms; yet, they often overlook that many mighty giants have been brought down by the tiniest of creatures.
A mayfly shaking a tree...
№51:
Hold on, I've spotted a blind spot! If the Doomed Witch never submitted to the black goat from beginning to end, then what was her confrontation with the white peacock in that previous strange live-streaming scenario?
№52:
I seriously suspect it was all an act, staged for the black goat to see.
№53:
No wonder both sides seemed to be holding back at the time; they were teammates after all.
№54:
Hilarious, actors, all of them!
№55:
Black Goat: Hello, is anyone speaking up for me?
№56:
No one's feeding Him peanuts, better off dead (coldly)
№57 (OP):
Speaking of which, wasn't there a post about observing celestial phenomena that mentioned significant changes might occur recently? Could this event be a fulfillment of that prediction?
№58:
Which post? Do you have a link?
№59:
I remember it. The post was titled #Recent Astrological Signs, Can Everyone Still Understand Them?#. It was like a charity effort by a folk expert, interpreting several horoscopes for free. Unfortunately, the post was later deleted.
№60:
Ah, what a pity... I really wanted to ask the OP if they could help interpret the stars of the Doomed Witch.
№61:
Speaking of which, the outcome of the conflict hasn't been decided yet, so why do you all assume that the Doomed Witch is likely to fall?
№62:
Because her opponent is none other than the Fate Black Goat, who once held dominion for billions of years!
№63:
As far as I know, apart from the current Lord of Fate, no being has ever defeated this innately powerful deity, let alone the Doomed Witch, who is already tainted by its influence... Just having the thought of 'resistance' is quite remarkable.
№64:
So, the most optimistic outcome would be mutual destruction; in the worst case, the black goat might not even be completely dead...
№65:
Hey, hey, hey, why are we getting more and more pessimistic here? qwq
№66:
Forget it, let's light a candle in mourning...
№67:

№69 Star's Secret:
Peeking in, I'm the neighbor from the next thread.
There's no need to be too pessimistic, everyone. From the star chart, the Witch of Misfortune's star has dimmed a bit, but it hasn't vanished completely. On the contrary, the shadow over the black goat has been entirely cleared away.
№70:
Wow! Bowing to the great astrologer!
№71:
The great one is so kind, always giving us timely information... Thank you so much!
№72:
I want to follow the master; I want to learn astrology too! (clenched fist)
№73 Secrets of the Stars:
I agree with the above, but still don’t recommend casually learning astrology; it’s very dangerous.
№74:
Haha, astrologers always appear to earnestly advise everyone not to fall into the deep pit.

№76 Secrets of the Stars:
Also, my teacher received an insight from the stars—“Under the full moon at midnight, the black butterfly will rise from the riverside.”
№77:
!!
№78:
What does that mean? Is it saying the witch will return during the full moon?
№79:
If it’s true, that would be wonderful!
№80 (OP):
Hold on, isn't the full moon different in every world? This timing is so vague.
№81 Star's Secret:
I don't know about that~ Perhaps this is also a riddle given by fate? Please stay tuned.
№82:
In any case, welcome back, Miss Witch of Misfortune, to the bustling human world!
...
In places beyond the reach of ordinary observation, the River of Fate continues to flow as usual.
The silver stream resembles solidified moonlight, tranquil, bright, and hazy.
Suddenly, a faint black spot appears at the center of the river, like a drop of ink in the water, slowly spreading and expanding—something is rising, getting closer and closer to the surface.
Amidst the sound of flowing water, there are some subtle noises, as if countless butterflies are flapping their wings together, struggling against the water pressure to swim.
After an unknown amount of time, two butterfly wings finally break through the surface's restraint, their deep black wings with green patterns reflecting a layer of glistening water.
The black butterfly shakes off the heavy droplets, lightly taking flight, and gracefully twirls in the air.
Following it, a second, then a third...
A swarm of butterflies rises from the river, resembling a rising mist of black, with patterns like emerald eyes fluttering, creating an atmosphere of mysterious depth.
The black butterflies hovered above the river of fate, eventually converging into a figure dressed in a long gown, cradling a black box.
Dark red hair cascaded down as Elys turned his head, sensing something, to look at his colleague who had been waiting by the riverside for some time.
Ursula looked at her other self, and the thought of the construction work for "The Decameron" soon to be shared with a doppelgänger made her lips curl into a smile.
"Hurry up, the organization is waiting for you." Most importantly, to help with the work!
After urging her on, Ursula took a step forward but suddenly remembered something, smiling as he extended his hand to the witch, like a gentleman inviting a dance in a ballroom.
"And—welcome back to the human world, Elys."
