Chapter 55: 《SilverWhite Disaster Survival Guide》

Chapter 55 "SilverWhite Disaster Survival Guide"

Hao Youqian successfully planted a seed of panic in the forum, which took root and sprouted in the hearts of many divine beings, awakening their long-forgotten memories.

Before long, anxiety and fear spread like wildfire, quickly spawning numerous discussion threads.

Among them, one particularly informative survival guide rose to the top:

"Survival" Experience Summary—X Life-Saving Tips When Encountering a Predator in the Wild

№0 (OP):

First, let me introduce myself. I am a seasoned divine being who has survived countless conflicts, with a lifespan counted in tens of thousands of years. Currently, I hold the position of Archbishop under my Lord, with extensive survival experience.

To avoid the hassle of self-verification, I deliberately left my ID visible this time. You can check my achievements on my profile.

№1:

Out of curiosity, I clicked into OP’s profile. That string of titles, auras, and honors is literally blinding…

№2:

Wow, an age counted in millennia! Though we theoretically have no lifespan limit, it’s rare to survive the conflicts among gods for so long.

№3:

Can’t even joke about this—OP is the real deal. (fist salute)

№4:

Dammit! When will I ever be this impressive?

№5 (OP):

No more digressions, let’s get to the point.

№6 (OP):

From the forum, it’s clear that ever since everyone learned that those Fate Domain High Lords—especially that silver-white predator—might soon return, anxiety and fear have intensified.

I was once fortunate enough to catch a distant glimpse of Him, and after hearing a few friends’ personal accounts, I’ve compiled, organized, and shared these insights here, hoping they’ll be helpful.

№7:

This thread could save lives! Bookmarking!

№8:

Quick aside—based on other threads’ descriptions, the "predator" is practically the "SilverWhite Disaster," wiping out divine beings wherever He passes, like a misplaced Destruction Domain entity born in the Fate Domain…

The fact that OP and a few friends survived after encountering Him shows they’re legit.

№9:

Holy crap, the SilverWhite Disaster! (leans back)

№10:

What a perfect nickname. Truly, given names can be wrong, but nicknames never are…

№11 (OP):

"SilverWhite Disaster"? Is this His new nickname? It’s quite fitting.

№12 (OP):

Then let’s tentatively name these survival guidelines the "SilverWhite Disaster Survival Guide."

№13:

A new disaster is upon us—how can we stay idle~

№14:

Saving this, supporting OP’s work!

№15 (OP):

Rule One: He is always hungry, seemingly constantly craving more power.

So, if you encounter Him outside the protection of your kin or gods, please try to conceal your energy and make yourself inconspicuous until the sound of His serpent's scales fades away.

№14 (OP):

Rule Two: Never try to look at Him. The "SilverWhite Disaster" resembles a serpent, but beneath each scale lies eyes and smaller serpents, granting Him 360-degree vision.

Therefore, absolutely! Do NOT try to peek from what you think is a hidden angle! He will notice you faster than you notice Him.

№15:

Acting as class rep here—summarizing the first two rules: hide when possible, avoid if possible, and curb useless curiosity~

№16:

Sigh, we’ve seen so many intelligent beings die from curiosity, never thought we’d be facing the same fate…

№17:

Can’t help it. The power disparity between different divine beings can sometimes be as vast as the chasm between humans and gods.

№18:

Everyone’s discussing survival—is there truly no powerhouse who can oppose Him?

№19 Truth’s Gaze:

Uh… buddy, you’re not thinking of fighting Him head-on, are you? What's your age? Is your mind clear?

№20 Truth’s Gaze:

For those youngsters who’ve never felt the "Predator’s" pressure, let me enlighten you: He was once the Fate Domain’s top-ranking entity, a leading candidate for divinity who only withdrew in recent millennia to prepare for ascension… Challenge Him? With what? Our bare hands?

№21 Lament of Time:

Back in the day, before "Fate" truly existed, He virtually personified half of "Fate."

№22:

So really, if we encounter Him, we can only consider ourselves unlucky. All else is meaningless—survival is all that matters.

No. 23:

Damn, just thought of a dad joke—if the predator wants to eat us, does that count as "fate's arrangement"?

No. 24:

...Hah, that's ice-cold. Do you really think we can laugh at that, OP?

No. 25 (OP):

Rule No. 3: If you’re already too close to escape, remember that They despise chaos and disorder.

Try to exhibit rationality and friendliness. Assuming a form resembling a humanoid appears to be the safest, significantly increasing your chances of survival.

No. 26 (OP):

The basis for this speculation is that I have a friend who is a follower and devotee of Truth's Fallacy—Laplace's Fiend. She has a lifelong passion for pursuing knowledge and often engages in discussions with human scholars.

When she encountered the predator, she maintained a form and demeanor indistinguishable from a human’s—and was merely glanced at before returning completely unharmed.

No. 27:

OP’s compiled rules are all well-reasoned and god-tier convincing. I suggest publishing them as a handbook—everyone in the forum should get a copy...

No. 28 Truth's Pupil:

What a bunch of morons. Do you really need to print and hoard such basic knowledge? Only by committing it to memory will it truly flow through your life.

No. 29 Conflict Instigator:

Ugh, you scholars and your endless yammering are so annoying. Memorize it yourselves if you want—stop policing everyone else (thumbs down).

No. 30 (OP):

No more arguing, or I’ll time you out.

Rule No. 4:

...

...

No. 106 (OP):

Final rule: If you truly cannot escape the fate of being devoured, then perhaps it really is destiny’s decree—at that point, do not resist "fate" any further, just to add unnecessary suffering.

No. 107 (OP):

Embrace fate, return to fate. May we awaken again across countless realms in the future, and may our next lives never cross paths with It (prayer).

No. 108 (OP):

That concludes all twenty rules. Good luck, everyone.

...

Meanwhile, Yi Fengchu remained completely unaware of how many divine beings were losing sleep over him.

He had just silenced his alarm and gotten out of bed, stepping into the bathroom and glancing at his reflection in the mirror.

After gaining control of the Dungeon yesterday, he had enthusiastically spent hours remodeling the three-dimensional layout of the former advertising company, blowing through all the Points Chu Fu had earned in this Dungeon.

Since Points held little value to him, Yi Fengchu had no sense of extravagance and spent them without restraint.

As the Points rapidly dwindled, a silver tower replaced the advertising company’s dilapidated building, rising from the ground.

Inspired by Kurt’s kin, Yi Fengchu adorned the tower’s exterior with a colossal Serpent statue coiling around it. The Serpent’s gracefully rendered, muscular body spiraled from the base all the way to the summit, its imposing head perched over the tower’s peak as if surveying the world below.

The interior was vast, with gleaming marble floors and a spiraling staircase winding upward endlessly toward the top floor.

Anyone standing at the base and looking up would inevitably grow dizzy from the seemingly infinite concentric circles formed by the stairs.

As for the top floor’s design, Yi Fengchu had yet to find inspiration, so he left it empty for future completion.

After some thought, he deleted "Kaleidoscope Advertising Company" from the Dungeon’s name and replaced it with "Nameless Land," casually rejecting Hao Youqian’s access request in the process.

—The name wasn’t chosen for any special meaning. He simply couldn’t be bothered to name this personal secret base, so it was literally "nameless."

For now, only Yi Fengchu could enter this place—why bother with an unnecessary name?

By the time Yi Fengchu snapped out of his remodeling spree, it was already 3:30 AM in the real world... and unfortunately, he had an 8 AM class the next morning.

After barely three hours of sleep, he reluctantly left his comfortable bed to get ready and leave.

In the mirror, despite having pulled an all-nighter, Yi Fengchu showed not a hint of tiredness—his eyes were bright and alert, and there wasn’t a trace of dark circles under them.

"Not good," he muttered, studying his reflection. "Regular folks would have dark circles when they stay up late..."

The moment he said it, exhaustion suddenly washed over him, and faint dark circles formed beneath his eyes.

"Ah, there we go."

He examined himself again and nodded in satisfaction.

His phone, which had watched the entire scene: "..."

"Stop admiring yourself in the mirror, or you’ll be late," it sighed, reminding him.

Aside from never feeling hungry despite skipping breakfast, Yi Fengchu was just like any other A University student—arriving on time for his morning class, spacing out during the 8 AM class, then dragging himself out afterward.

With no afternoon classes, Yi Fengchu initially meant to return to his apartment and catch up on sleep.

But as he walked, something occurred to him, and he veered off course, heading in another direction.

Twenty minutes later, he stood before the entrance of the Anomalous Affairs Bureau’s A City branch.

The guards recognized him immediately and let him in. Yi Fengchu made his way with ease, descending to sublevel three—the archives.

The Ability User on archive duty greeted him enthusiastically: "Mr. Yi, afternoon! What brings you here today?"

"Just having you here is so reassuring. The archives have been strangely quiet lately—no unexplained whispers, no sudden footsteps on the ceiling, no eerie sensation of someone breathing down my ear..."

Yi Fengchu politely acknowledged the warm welcome and stated his purpose: "I’d like to look through some records. Do I have permission?"

"Just a sec. Per protocol, I’ll need to request approval from my superior."

The attendant dialed a direct line. Normally, approval would require the applicant to fill out forms detailing the purpose, file numbers, and access period.

More often than not, requests were simply denied. But to the attendant’s surprise, after she mentioned Yi Fengchu’s name, the other end fell silent for a long time. There was hushed discussion in the background, as if a serious discussion was underway.

The duty officer had never encountered such a situation and couldn't help feeling surprised. But before long, she received a reply—

"Request approved," the voice on the phone paused before continuing, "From now on, Mr. Yi can access the archives without prior application. You just need to log his access times."

"You can inform him that if he needs files outside this branch's jurisdiction, he can contact a designated liaison to access the archives at headquarters."

"...Oh, alright."

The duty officer hung up, still dazed, and repeated what her boss said to Mr. Yi.

"I understand. Thank you."

Mr. Yi showed no surprise at the overly deferential response. He calmly nodded his thanks to the duty officer before disappearing into the depths of the towering document shelves.

The duty officer's gaze lingered on the shelves that had obscured Mr. Yi's figure. It took her a while to snap out of it. She murmured under her breath, "That's incredible..."

At first, even she wasn't entirely sure what had her so impressed.

Until, in a sudden moment of clarity, it dawned on her—what had left her awestruck was pure power and authority.
