Chapter 115: You Will Pay the Price

Ye Xuan stared straight at Xiao Ran, his gaze terrifyingly intense.

"Xiao Ran, you will pay for this."

With that, Ye Xuan slammed his right hand fiercely against his left shoulder. He let out a muffled groan as a fine layer of sweat broke out across his forehead.

Looking at Ye Xuan’s drooping left arm, Xiao Ran burst into wild laughter.

"Hahaha, Ye Xuan, aren’t you the Cyan Dragon Chief? Aren’t you supposed to be so powerful? Didn’t you say you were going to kill me?

"Come on if you have the guts! Let’s see how you kill me!"

Ye Xuan gritted his teeth, forcing himself to endure the agony of his broken arm. "Can you let them go now?" he demanded, looking with deep concern at the injured Lin Aoxue.

At this moment, Lin Aoxue’s consciousness was already blurring, the throbbing pain in her leg tearing at her nerves. Beside her, Yang Bingyu looked at her half-closed eyes and couldn’t help but worry. She wondered if Lin Aoxue would bleed to death.

"Heh, you want me to let them go? Then break one of your legs!" Hearing Ye Xuan’s words, Xiao Ran gave another chilling smile. He licked his lips in excitement, unable to hold back his twisted demands.

"Xiao Ran! Don’t push your luck!" Ye Xuan roared, on the verge of exploding.

Xiao Ran wasn’t intimidated in the least. Seeing Ye Xuan’s fury, he immediately aimed his gun at Yang Bingyu. "Don’t move! If you move, I’ll shoot!"

Ye Xuan, who had just been about to act, quickly stopped when he saw this.

"Fine, you’ve got guts!" he spat out indignantly, glaring at Xiao Ran. He then made a move to cripple his own leg.

Xiao Ran stared unblinkingly, entirely captivated by the sight.

Just as Ye Xuan raised his hand to strike his own thigh, the roar of a helicopter suddenly echoed from the sky. For a split second, Xiao Ran was distracted. And it was precisely in those one or two seconds that Ye Xuan flashed right in front of him.

"Ah! Die, die, die!" Shocked out of his daze, Xiao Ran screamed hysterically as he fired his gun wildly.

Soon, the pistol was completely out of bullets.

"Die..." Xiao Ran pulled the trigger hard, only to realize the magazine was empty. His face instantly turned deathly pale, and his voice cut off abruptly.

"Xiao Ran, I told you, you would pay the price!" Looking like a demon straight out of hell, Ye Xuan grabbed the hand holding the empty gun. With a forceful twist, there was a loud CRACK, and Xiao Ran’s hand was broken.

"Stop! Let Young Master Xiao go!" The bodyguards hadn’t expected Ye Xuan to be so ruthless. They angrily raised their guns and aimed at him.

But before they could do anything, a barrage of bullets rained down from the helicopter above. The bullets struck the ship’s deck, producing a continuous series of metallic CLANGs.

The previously arrogant bodyguards immediately threw down their guns and scrambled away in terror.

Seeing the once unfavorable situation instantly turn around left Yang Jie absolutely terrified. He absolutely could not let Ye Xuan live! If Ye Xuan found out that he was the one who schemed against Lin Aoxue again, he would be a dead man for sure.

At this thought, a flash of viciousness crossed Yang Jie’s eyes. He swiftly picked up a gun dropped by one of the bodyguards. Seizing the moment when Ye Xuan’s attention was focused on Xiao Ran, he aimed the weapon at Yang Bingyu.

"Don’t move! Ye Xuan! If you touch Young Master Xiao again, I’ll kill Yang Bingyu!"

Ye Xuan, who had just been preparing to break one of Xiao Ran’s legs, suddenly heard Yang Jie’s shout. He turned back to look at Yang Jie pointing a gun at Yang Bingyu, his gaze terrifyingly cold.

"Hahaha, Yang Jie, well done!" Seeing this, Xiao Ran, who had nearly wet his pants in fear, instantly became excited again. He scrambled up from the deck and ran toward Yang Jie with a loud laugh. "Good job! Don’t worry, once we kill Ye Xuan, you’ll be heavily rewarded."

Xiao Ran patted Yang Jie’s shoulder, speaking with thrilling excitement.

"Yang Jie! What are you doing?! I’m your sister!" Yang Bingyu roared at him in disbelief, never expecting her own brother to point a gun at her.

"Shut up! I have no choice! Today, it’s either Ye Xuan dies, or I do!" Yang Jie glared fiercely at Yang Bingyu and harshly reprimanded her.

Ye Xuan narrowed his eyes and made a hand signal to White Snake in the sky. White Snake understood immediately, pulling out a sniper rifle and aiming it directly at Yang Jie’s heart.

"Ye Xuan, if you want to save the two of them, kill yourself right now! Otherwise, I’ll shoot your—"

Yang Jie was aggressively threatening Ye Xuan when, with a sudden THWIP, his voice cut off abruptly. His pupils dilated instantly as his gaze gradually lost focus. A large, crimson flower bloomed across his chest.

"You... You..." Yang Jie looked at Ye Xuan in despair. He weakly raised a hand, pointing at him as if trying to say something. But before the words could leave his mouth, his legs gave out, and he collapsed to the ground, entirely devoid of life.

"Ah! Yang Jie!"

Yang Bingyu was dumbfounded. Staring at Yang Jie’s unblinking eyes on the deck, she let out a tragic shriek. Even though she didn’t have a great relationship with Yang Jie, they had still grown up together as siblings for over twenty years. Watching him die right in front of her was simply too massive of a shock.

Beside them, the smile on Xiao Ran’s face instantly froze. He hadn’t expected Ye Xuan to actually kill someone. After freezing in place for a few seconds, he hurriedly bent down to pick up a gun from the floor.

But just as he grabbed it, before he could even aim it at Yang Bingyu, a gleaming dagger flew straight at him.

It plunged directly into Xiao Ran’s abdomen. Clutching his wound in agony, his body lurched two steps backward.

"Ye... Ye Xuan..."

Behind him lay the deep, abyssal ocean. Muttering Ye Xuan’s name one last time, Xiao Ran plummeted over the edge, his face full of bitter unwillingness.

Watching him fall off the deck, Ye Xuan’s tense nerves finally relaxed. He was just about to walk toward Lin Aoxue and the others when a sudden gunshot rang out.

Then came Yang Bingyu’s scream.

"No! Bingyu!"

To think that Xiao Ran was determined to take someone down with him even in death! Right before falling into the sea, he had actually fired a shot, snapping the rope suspending Yang Bingyu.

Ye Xuan could only watch helplessly as Yang Bingyu plummeted right before his eyes. Bounding to the edge of the deck, he leapt down after her without a second thought.

The seawater was piercingly cold, and the moment Ye Xuan hit the water, his body shivered. But he couldn’t afford to care about that. He forced his eyes open, frantically searching for Yang Bingyu’s location. Since one of his arms was broken, swimming was incredibly strenuous.

Finally, he spotted Yang Bingyu about five or six meters below him.

With her hands and feet bound by ropes, Yang Bingyu was sinking straight toward the bottom of the ocean like a heavy stone.

Ye Xuan didn’t dare waste a single second, swimming downward with all his might. His mind was solely occupied by a single thought—he had to save Yang Bingyu.

Closer, closer!

At last, Ye Xuan wrapped his arm around the unconscious Yang Bingyu. Kicking his legs, he fought with everything he had to swim back up to the surface.
