Chapter 153 - 152: Betraying the Organization

"Hurry up! Don’t try to play smart. If you hesitate even for a second, I’ll put a bullet in her!" Seeing Ye Xuan’s lack of response, Xiao Feng forcefully jammed the pistol harder against Lin Aoxue’s temple.

"Stop! I’ll do as you say!" Ye Xuan didn’t dare act rashly. The Xiao family had always been ruthless; if he didn’t do as Xiao Feng demanded, the man truly might pull the trigger.

Hearing Ye Xuan’s answer, Lin Aoxue shook her head violently to stop him. "No! Ye Xuan! You can’t listen to him!" If Ye Xuan really crippled his own limbs as Xiao Feng demanded, they would completely lose their chance to escape.

"No! Don’t! Ye Xuan, why would you do this? Leave! Just leave me alone!" Ye Xuan’s actions deeply struck a nerve in Lin Aoxue. She had clearly decided to completely let go of this man. They clearly exchanged the harshest of words every time, yet in the end, neither could truly let go. If she had a choice, she would rather Ye Xuan not come to save her. She didn’t want him to die alongside her.

Night Rose didn’t even spare the others a single glance. Instead, she navigated through the crowd and slowly approached Ye Xuan.

"You owe me another one," she said with a pretty smile, looking up to meet Ye Xuan’s eyes.

Ye Xuan’s eyes were filled with astonishment. He never expected Night Rose to come to his rescue. This was clearly a violation of the Celestial Ranking’s rules. Helping Ye Xuan kill Xiao Feng was a betrayal to the organization; it would make her a target for the Celestial Ranking’s assassins.

"You shouldn’t have come," Ye Xuan said helplessly, a frown on his face.

"If I didn’t come, were you really going to cripple your own limbs? Don’t be an idiot. Even if you killed yourself, Xiao Feng wouldn’t have let this woman go." Night Rose shifted her gaze to Lin Aoxue, an unreadable gleam flashing in her eyes.
