Chapter 65: Fell for It

"I’m not too sure either. When I found her, she was already dead drunk in the small garden. Also, this is the chicken soup Grandpa asked me to bring you. He said you haven’t eaten anything tonight, so you should have some soup to tide you over."

Yang Tian, who was timid to begin with, grew even more intimidated in front of Ye Xuan. He didn’t even dare to look him in the eye. After handing Yang Bingyu over to Ye Xuan, he slapped the thermos on the table and scurried away in a flash.

In reality, Yang Jie had given him the chicken soup, falsely claiming it was an errand from the old master. The boy, Yang Tian, was a straight arrow lacking any guile and actually believed him, not mentioning Yang Jie’s name to Ye Xuan at all.

Ye Xuan watched Yang Tian flee like a frightened mouse and shook his head with an amused smile.

"You silly girl. If you can’t handle your liquor, why drink so much?"

Looking at Yang Bingyu leaning against his shoulder, Ye Xuan helplessly pinched her nose before slowly supporting her toward the bedroom.

After settling Yang Bingyu into bed, Ye Xuan opened the thermos. Having barely eaten all day, he was genuinely hungry. Without overthinking it, he downed the soup in one go.

As the drugs gradually took effect, the drowsy Yang Bingyu felt an intense, burning heat spreading through her body, as if she were desperately craving something. She couldn’t help but let out a soft moan as her eyes fluttered open.

"Ye Xuan? Why are you here? I want a hug."

Upon seeing Ye Xuan, Yang Bingyu’s eyes instantly lit up. She reached out to him like a child, her face glowing with an innocent smile.

Her adorable demeanor made Ye Xuan chuckle. Not thinking much of it, he leaned down and gently pulled her into a hug.

"Silly girl, don’t drink so much next time."

After saying this softly, Ye Xuan prepared to stand up. Unexpectedly, Yang Bingyu’s arms suddenly tightened, yanking him directly onto the bed.

"Don’t go. I won’t let you go! You’re mine, and I like you. Don’t leave me all alone." Yang Bingyu held onto Ye Xuan tightly, refusing to let go as she mumbled those words.

Ye Xuan froze on the spot, his eyes widening in shock as the temperature in the room seemingly spiked. He figured she must be joking; there was no way she actually liked him.

Pulling himself together, Ye Xuan silently reassured himself before patiently coaxing her. "Bingyu, stop messing around. Be a good girl."

"Mmm... it’s so hot..."

Ye Xuan had originally planned to find some makeup remover to wipe her face, but to his utter disbelief, Yang Bingyu started stripping off her clothes.

This frightened him so much that he hurriedly grabbed the blanket and threw it over her. "Why is this girl acting so wildly after getting drunk!" he thought.

Just as Ye Xuan was racking his brain trying to figure out what to do, Yang Bingyu suddenly sat up in bed. Her eyes were frighteningly bright, staring unblinkingly at him in a way that made his skin crawl.

"Bing... Bingyu, what’s wrong?" Ye Xuan gulped, asking cautiously.

What happened next caused Ye Xuan’s mind to completely short-circuit. Yang Bingyu unexpectedly pounced on him, pinning him down, and crashed her lips against his.

The faint, natural fragrance of her body drifted into Ye Xuan’s nose, and the soft sensation made him lose himself for a fleeting moment. Although he treated Yang Bingyu as a younger sister, she was, after all, a mature and glamorous woman.

"Bingyu! Snap out of it!" Ye Xuan forcefully shoved Yang Bingyu off of him, his brows furrowed tightly as he scolded her.

But at this moment, Yang Bingyu only felt an unbearable, burning discomfort all over her body. She desperately sought an outlet, hungering for intimacy with Ye Xuan. Her eyes were brimming with raw lust, utterly devoid of reason.

Seeing her in this state, Ye Xuan finally realized something was very wrong.

Someone had drugged her!

Realizing this, Ye Xuan was even more terrified to stay in the same room. He immediately bundled her up tightly in the blanket, rolled out of bed, and prepared to call the hospital. Leaving her alone like this wouldn’t work; if the effects of the drug weren’t released, she could be in grave danger.

But the blanket couldn’t restrain Yang Bingyu at all. The moment Ye Xuan picked up his phone, she clung to him once again.

This time, however, Ye Xuan couldn’t push her away, because his own body had suddenly grown abnormally hot.

"Damn it! The soup was spiked!" Ye Xuan clenched his fists, his eyes bloodshot as he glared at the thermos on the table, cursing through gritted teeth.

He had been far too careless. Believing that a kid like Yang Tian wouldn’t lie, he had taken the story at face value. Plus, having just threatened Yang Zhennan, he assumed the chicken soup was merely a peace offering sent to curry favor.

He never expected that he had walked right into someone else’s trap!

Ye Xuan’s consciousness slowly began to blur. Yang Bingyu was draped over his back, teasing him with clumsy inexperience.

Feeling as if he were about to explode, Ye Xuan bit down hard on the tip of his tongue, forcing himself to focus. Using every ounce of his remaining strength, he shoved Yang Bingyu away and stumbled toward the door.

He couldn’t stay here any longer. He couldn’t hurt Yang Bingyu!

This was the only thought left in Ye Xuan’s mind. No matter what, he couldn’t remain alone with Yang Bingyu, or the consequences would be unthinkable.

Just as his hand was about to grasp the doorknob, Yang Bingyu tackled him to the floor. A flurry of desperate, frantic kisses landed on Ye Xuan’s lips and face.

Finally, the last string of his rationality snapped.

Everything that followed completely spiraled out of control.

Following Ye Xuan’s instructions, Yang Zhennan had coordinated with the media early in the morning to hold a press conference. But he waited and waited, and Ye Xuan never showed up. Even Yang Bingyu, who was supposed to stay the night at the Yang Family residence, was nowhere to be found.

Left with no other choice, he personally headed to Yunju Mountain Villa to look for Ye Xuan.

When he pushed open the door to Yang Bingyu’s room and saw the two figures sleeping in bed, his jaw nearly dropped to the floor.

What was going on? Hadn’t Ye Xuan just said yesterday that he only saw Yang Bingyu as a sister? Hadn’t he demanded a press conference to announce the invalidation of their engagement? So why were these two sleeping together today?

"Dad, did you find Bingyu and Ye Xuan?" Yang Kui, who had accompanied Yang Zhennan, asked in confusion when he saw his father lingering at the doorway without going in.

"Shh, keep your voice down! Come on, let’s talk in the living room."

Afraid of waking them, Yang Zhennan lowered his voice. Without even giving Yang Kui a chance to peek inside, he grabbed him and dragged him toward the living room.

With all his years of experience, Yang Zhennan instantly realized that things were definitely not as simple as they seemed. He first instructed Yang Kui to cancel the press conference, then went back into the bedroom to wake the deeply asleep Ye Xuan and Yang Bingyu.
