Chapter 82: Kick Out

"Get lost," Ye Xuan scoffed coldly. He had no interest in wasting time with this kind of person. With a glance at Wang Bao, he bluntly dismissed him.

"Wow, White Snake, Ye Xuan, you guys were just too cool! Did you see how mad Yuan Shanshan was? Her face was completely twisted, hahahaha..." As soon as the others had left, Yang Bingyu clapped her hands and burst into laughter.

Although forcing someone to kneel and apologize was a bit excessive, seeing Yang Bingyu smile so happily made Ye Xuan tacitly accept it.

"White Snake, keep an eye on that woman named Yuan Shanshan. Don’t let her pull any dirty tricks behind our backs," Ye Xuan whispered, turning his head slightly. He clearly remembered the look in Yuan Shanshan’s eyes as she left; there was a good chance today’s incident would have repercussions.

White Snake nodded, silently committing Yuan Shanshan to memory.

The incident didn’t dampen Yang Bingyu’s mood for shopping at all; rather, it raised her spirits even more. As for the two men, Ye Xuan and White Snake, they were relegated to trailing behind her, swiping cards and carrying bags.

"Are women always this terrifying when they shop? She must have bought enough clothes to last an entire year, right?" White Snake grumbled, watching Yang Bingyu continue to endlessly pick out outfits ahead of them.

"Sigh, as long as she’s happy, just let her be." Ye Xuan shook his head with a smile.

Yunju Mountain Villa had a dedicated cloakroom of nearly a hundred square meters filled entirely with Yang Bingyu’s apparel. Many pieces still had their tags attached, hanging there purely for display. Although Lin Aoxue wasn’t as extravagant as Yang Bingyu, she also owned an impressive wardrobe. Women, after all, naturally lacked resistance to clothes and cosmetics. Even if they might never wear a piece out of the house in their entire lives, they still wanted to buy it and hang it in their closets.

"Women are so troublesome." Sitting helplessly on a sofa, White Snake let out a sigh. He had endured the most grueling and exhausting training in the past without ever feeling this drained. After keeping Yang Bingyu company for an entire afternoon of shopping, he felt like his body was falling apart.

It wasn’t until past eight in the evening that Yang Bingyu finally remembered that eating was a thing.

White Snake and Ye Xuan were so hungry they were seeing stars, so they quickly found a nearby restaurant to grab a bite.

The three had just gotten out of the car. Before they could even step up onto the restaurant’s entrance stairs, a mocking voice sounded from behind them.

"Tsk, Yang Bingyu. Your grandfather is practically drawing his last breath on a hospital bed, yet you still have the mood to bring these two out for dinner. Sure enough, not being blood-related makes a difference. If your grandfather knew he raised such an ungrateful wretch, he’d probably die of sheer anger, wouldn’t he?"

If the insults had only been directed at her, Yang Bingyu might have pretended not to hear. But since Yang Zhennan was mentioned, she wouldn’t let the matter slide so easily. Turning her head to face the newcomer, she retorted mercilessly.

"Heh, Su Xiaobai, isn’t your little uncle going to be born soon? How does it feel to have to share the candy that was already in your pocket with someone else?"

These two Noble Families had been constant hot topics recently. The Su Family was expecting a new member, Yang Jie of the Yang Family had been kicked out of the house, Yang Zhennan was gravely ill, and the truth of Yang Bingyu’s birth had been exposed... What were once families admired and revered by the public had instantly become the after-dinner gossip of Jianghai City’s citizens.

Su Xiaobai’s gaze turned cold, his hands instinctively clenching at his sides. He had heard enough about this "little uncle" of his lately. Wu Xueting, in particular, had started acting restless. Just yesterday, she had coaxed Su Jun into transferring the Su Family’s plot of land in the city center into her name, using the beautiful excuse that she was saving it for Su Jun’s youngest son. Su Xiaobai could see Wu Xueting’s wolfish ambitions clear as day, but unfortunately, Su Jun fell completely for her act, making it very difficult for Su Xiaobai to deal with her.

Yang Bingyu’s words had clearly struck a nerve, leaving him extremely displeased.

"You, come here," Su Xiaobai barked, beckoning the restaurant’s lobby manager over.

How could the manager dare disobey? He quickly trotted over to Su Xiaobai, putting on a fawning expression. "Eldest Young Master Su, what are your orders?"

"From now on, this counterfeit heiress of the Yang Family and her two lapdogs are not allowed to set half a foot inside this restaurant, do you understand?" Su Xiaobai demanded arrogantly, pointing at Yang Bingyu and Ye Xuan’s group.

The lobby manager was instantly put in a difficult position. Even though rumors were swirling all over the internet that Yang Bingyu wasn’t the true eldest daughter of the Yang Family, as long as the Yang Family didn’t step forward to clarify the facts, she remained someone he couldn’t afford to offend. If he barred her from entering the restaurant’s doors, his career as a lobby manager would be over.

"Eldest Young Master Su, this... isn’t very appropriate, is it?" the manager asked with a troubled expression, wiping cold sweat from his forehead.

"What? Do you also think that just because my grandfather is having another son, my status as Su Xiaobai has been shaken?" Su Xiaobai reached out and viciously patted the manager’s cheek, his tone full of threat. "If you’re tired of being the lobby manager, then step aside. I’m sure there are plenty of people in your restaurant who are much more obedient than you."

"No, no, no, Eldest Young Master Su, you’ve misunderstood! How could I dare doubt your status in Jianghai City?" The lobby manager’s head buzzed from the slaps, but even so, he didn’t dare show a hint of anger. He could only humble himself and explain, "It’s just that Yang Bingyu is, after all, still the eldest daughter of the Yang Family. Aren’t you putting me in a tough spot?"

"Enough, get lost. You’re no longer the lobby manager. You there, come here." Hearing the explanation, Su Xiaobai impatiently shoved him aside. He then beckoned to a nearby male waiter who had a shifty, opportunistic look about him.

Seeing Su Xiaobai call him out by name, the waiter’s eyes instantly lit up, and he eagerly scurried over. "Eldest Young Master Su, you called for me?"

Bowing and scraping before Eldest Young Master Su, the waiter looked every bit the subservient lackey. This was a golden opportunity for him to climb the ranks; if he curried favor with Su Xiaobai, he could jump straight from waiter to lobby manager. He absolutely had to seize such a stroke of luck.

"From now on, you are the lobby manager of this restaurant. Can you do what I just ordered?" Su Xiaobai asked coldly, casually glancing at the waiter.

"Don’t worry! As long as it’s something Eldest Young Master Su orders, I will resolutely comply!" the waiter loudly promised, instantly straightening his back and slapping his chest forcefully.

He then spun around with an arrogant swagger, directing the other security personnel. "You lot, hurry up and kick this counterfeit and these two pretty boys out! Don’t let them become an eyesore to Eldest Young Master Su!"

His pompous display perfectly embodied the idiom of a dog throwing its weight around on its master’s authority. The security guards all looked at him with a mix of disdain and mockery.
