1: The celestial realm 1: The celestial realm Search for it, and you will never find it: no map bears the mark of the Celestial Realm.

No star points toward it.

Those who set out in search of it, relying on nothing but sheer will, wander for entire ages beneath endless skies, until their minds fracture and even the name of what they seek fades from memory.

But those who are called those deemed worthy of being called see it appear without warning.

A mirage of light and silence suspended above an ocean of golden clouds, stretching beyond every imaginable horizon.

And in that moment, they understand that everything they believed they knew about the universe was false.

For those clouds are neither air nor vapor.

They are living, luminous matter, dense enough to bear the weight of entire cities, towers that rise as high as mountains, and creatures that never die.

They drift slowly, with a grace that seems almost conscious, and with every movement they reflect infinite shades of gold and amber.

Stare into them for long enough, and you will feel your spirit expand beyond the confines of your body, as though, for a fleeting instant, you have become part of that boundless vastness a moment after which no one ever returns entirely unchanged.

The Realm has no north, no south, no center, and no edge.

It has no boundaries.

It is a heart suspended between dimensions.

An enigma that breathes beyond the comprehension of mortals, and almost beyond that of immortals.

Its gates are colossal arches of living light, at once blazing and transparent, carved by no hand, but shaped by the very essence of the divine.

They float within the golden void, supported by nothing, and no force in the universe can bring them down.

Only those who have purified every corner of their spirit may open the portal that leads to them.

All others remain outside forever, without even knowing they were denied entry.

To cross those gates is not to travel from one place to another.

It is to transcend the very concept of limitation to cast off the weight of the world like a drenched cloak and immerse oneself in the eternal breath of the heavens.

From there begins the Celestial Path: a single, immense road, as long as eternity itself, stretching through the Nine Angelic Cities.

It never bends.

It never breaks.

It runs straight ahead like a river of light, a bridge suspended between worlds that coexist without ever touching.

It is not merely a road.

It is alive.

Those who walk upon it can feel the very heartbeat of the Realm pulsing beneath the soles of their feet.

But beware: only Seraphim may tread upon it.

To all others, the Path is forbidden.

To all others.

And when they cross it, the Path illuminates, trembles, and sings without words.

The Path recognizes those who walk upon it.

And to those who have no right to do so, it grants a fate that no one has ever returned to tell of.

Each city along the way is vast enough to rival a continent.

There are no walls.

Towers, plazas, gardens, and temples float freely through the air, suspended upon platforms of light and connected by bridges that shine like rays of sunlight.

The angels who dwell within them possess immense wings forged from pure energy, and every beat sends luminous currents rippling for miles.

Nine cities.

Nine choirs.

A hierarchy ascending toward the heavens like a staircase leading into the unreachable.

First Choir Lyserion The city of Lyserion is home to the Angels with golden wings.

They safeguard the peace of everyday existence and sing the melodies that sustain everything that follows.

Their wings are delicate and translucent, and every beat scatters thousands of vivid sparks through the air.

Lyserion is the gentlest of the cities, and those who pass through it first naively believe that the entire Realm must be so tender.

Second Choir Aurathiel The Second Choir: the seven golden arches of the Archangels, whose mere presence amplifies the light of every neighboring city.

They soar between the arches, guiding the currents of the aether, and wherever they pass, reality itself becomes sharper, more saturated, more real.

Third Choir Eryndor The Principalities, with wings of blue-veined steel, watch over the invisible boundaries between dimensions.

They are the first to know whenever something threatens to cross them.

Fourth Choir Valoryn The fortress of the Powers, warrior angels with bronze wings: an army no one has ever had the misfortune of seeing in battle.

Their towers rise high and severe, and every beat of their wings reinforces the stability of the entire celestial fabric.

For ages, they remained waiting for a war that never came.

They would have been wiser to fear the day it finally did.

Fifth Choir Lumivara The gardens of the Virtues, where every flower pulses in rhythm with the breath of the angels who heal and bestow peace.

Aether cascades plunge into the golden void, while the flights of the Virtues trace luminous arabesques through the air, soothing even the most tormented spirit.

Sixth Choir Domyriel The towers of the Dominions, whose silver wings dictate law and rhythm to all the choirs.

Every gesture they make is a perfect dance calculated, inevitable.

Nothing in the Realm occurs without the Dominions having foreseen it.

Seventh Choir Aethyron The amphitheater of the Thrones, where eternal judgment takes form and the fate of worlds is decided.

The city pulses like a beating heart, and the footsteps of the Thrones echo like the drums of a divine war.

It is here that destinies are weighed.

It is here that, one day, the destiny of everything will be weighed as well.

Eighth Choir Ophirion The library of the Cherubim, where every piece of knowledge in the universe is preserved among floating books and scrolls of light.

Every knowledge.

Including the things that should never be known.

Including truths that, if read by one who was never meant to discover them, could fracture the perfection of an entire realm.

Ninth Choir Celesthyrl The eternal sun of the Realm, dwelling place of the Seraphim, whose wings burn with crimson and gold.

Here the Path ends before the Creator’s Abode, a palace of light that no gaze can endure for long, and beyond whose thresholds the Inviolable Throne is kept.

Here, no shadows exist.

Here, sunsets never descend.

There is no night.

No ending.

Only the perpetual dance of light, the infinite radiance of the Seraphim, and the immense breath of creation itself.

Even time slows here.

It bends.

And, in the end, it ceases to matter.

** This was how the Celestial Realm appeared in the days of its glory.

Immutable.

That was the word the angels spoke with the greatest pride.

They repeated it in their songs.

They carved it into the light.

They believed it to be as true as the Creator Himself.
