77: Myrtle summons the cat advisor 77: Myrtle summons the cat advisor Myrtle took the stairs down to the basement with firm, steps.

She had to find out who and what those people in the crystal ball were.

When she arrived in the basement nursery, she looked around to make sure that nobody was around.

She then closed the door behind herself softly before walking over to the shelf, where her special herbs were.

She took down a bottle and walked over to the table where she measured out a spoonful of the herbs and placed them on a wooden board.

Myrtle then fetched a heavy rolling pin from a shelf and began to crush the dry herbs by rolling over them with the rolling pin.

She sang a spiritual song as she worked.

When the herbs were refined into a powder, Myrtle took a spoon full of the powder and threw it into the air.

This immediately brought on a bout of sneezing.

The aroma of the herbs filled the nursery.

When her sneezing abated, Myrtle began her chant for power, followed by her chant for vision and knowledge, so that the cat would be summoned.

After a few minutes of chanting, Myrtle went to the door.

She opened it just slightly, so that no passer by people would be able to see directly into the nursery.

She then walked to the window and opened it wide enough to allow a cat to enter through it.

From there, she returned to the table and resumed her chanting, but in a lower tone of voice.

After a few minutes of chanting, Myrtle could sense movement at the window.

She turned around to see the cat leap into the room and prance down the floor towards her.

“Hey, Ivan.

So, you decided to come in through the window.

I had the door open for you, do you know?” Myrtle commented in relief.

The cat stood still just a short distance from Myrtle.

It then began to transform and grow taller, into a man.

Within a short time, there was a tall magician standing in front of Myrtle.

He was dressed complete in his magic show performance suit.

He wore a red shirt and long pants.

This was accompanied by a black jacket and a black top hat.

He also wore a pair of white, satin gloves, displaying long fingers.

He held a gold-tipped black stick in his right hand.

“So, why did you summon me here?” Ivan, the magician wizard asked as he began to swing his stick around.

“Quit swinging that.

You will make me lose my focus,” Myrtle scolded with an irritated furrow between her thin, arched brows.

“I need to summon up my powers for what you want me to do for you,” Ivan responded as he briefly stopped swinging his stick.

“Any requests then?” he asked before resuming his swinging of the stick in his hand.

He walked around in a circle as he listened to Myrtle.

“I am looking for a group of werewolves who seem to be following me around.

At least, I suspect that they are doing that.

I saw them in my crystal ball,” Myrtle responded after drawing a deep breath.

“Uhmm, interesting,” Ivan responded, with a gloved hand under his chin.

“You don’t say why you think that they’re following you.

Did you see yourself in the crystal ball then,” he asked with one eyebrow raised.

“Well, one of them followed me to the hair salon because when I came out, she was standing across the road, openly staring at me,” Myrtle responded.

“Are you sure that she wasn’t staring at someone behind you?” Ivan asked with a curious frown.

“I can tell when someone is looking at me specifically, so does my friend, Rose.

She was there with me to stare at the blonde who was looking at us,” Myrtle responded.

“So, the two of you both saw her staring at you?”

“It was clear that she had been waiting for me to come out of the salon.

Then she stared without reserve,” Myrtle responded.

“So, Rose and I went to her own house to check in her crystal ball.

That’s when Rose confirmed that the group were wolves,” Myrtle added.

“Oh, so the two of you feel sure that it’s a werewolf who stared at you opposite the hair salon?” Ivan asked, studying Myrtle with a captivated look in his grey, black-lined eyes.

“Yes, then we saw her and her female friend in the crystal ball.

After this, we also saw the guy that they were apparently discussing,” Myrtle continued.

“Interesting.

So, you feel sure that all three of them are werewolves, without first seeing them change from human form to wolf form?” Ivan asked.

“We could sense it sharply,” Myrtle responded.

“So, we just wanted to know if you can also sense and see them and then tell us more about them.

Their plans, etcetera,” she added in an anxious tone.

“So, where do I see them?

Do you have photos of them?” Ivan asked as he began to stroll around the nursery again, twirling his stick around.

“No, but while I describe them you can begin to see them clearly through your powers, isn’t that so?

Myrtle asked, glancing at Ivan sideways.

“You’re hoping that I can see them and then maybe recognize them?” Ivan asked with his chin cupped in his free hand again.

“Yes.

Can you do that?” Myrtle asked, her eyes large with eagerness.

“It’s a tall order.

What will you be doing for me in return then?” Ivan asked with his brows raised as he gazed at Myrtle with questioning eyes.

“What’s your greatest desire?

You still want to get rid of the curse which turned you into a cat, don’t you?” Myrtle asked, raising her brows at Ivan as she spoke.

“Of course.

You know that.

But for how long?

Can you make this last?” Ivan asked, looking straight at Myrtle’s eyes.

“If I find out how, I will see to it that it lasts forever.

You can then get married and start your own family,” Myrtle responded.

“I’m serious.

You know that I don’t like empty promises,” Ivan remarked with his head to the side as he studied Myrtle’s face.

“I promise that Rose and I will help you find the one who did this to you,” Myrtle responded.

We might have new power on our side,” she added with a wicked grin on her face.

“What’s that?” Ivan asked curiously.

He then walked back around the table, to Myrtle’s side.

“My granddaughter might be a siren.

She might have magical powers,” Myrtle responded with a cunning glow in her eyes.
