Chapter 292 – Acquisition of the North Manchurian Railway

Meanwhile, on October 1st, the Ootori Steel Hirohata Works began operations.

With this, the map of Japan’s steel industry will be drastically redrawn. At the start of operations, the goal is an annual output of one million tons, and considering that Japan’s total crude steel production up to 1931 was only around two million tons, this represents a major change.

Moreover, there is a plan for Ootori alone to increase production by at least another one million tons every one to two years.
