Chapter 362 part 1 – Discussing the Next Prime Minister

One day after school in early July, Father summoned me to one of the Ootori family’s hotels.

The Ootori Hotel was fully air-conditioned, making it the perfect place to spend the summer. Even so, this summer hadn’t yet become hot enough to require cooling. Or rather, the temperatures still hadn’t reached that point.

The rainy season probably had something to do with it, but it only stirred up my anxiety over what this coming autumn would bring.

And because of that, Japan was steadily entering the election season.

Still, having a proper general election for the House of Representatives was, fundamentally, a good thing. And I already knew why I had been summoned, namely to ensure that the word “fundamentally” wouldn’t become meaningless.

(Even knowing that beforehand, he’s still not someone I’m eager to meet. Father really never goes easy on me.)
