Chapter 65: Perfect Harmony…

Lin You was thoroughly exasperated by the situation before him. As an ordinary, short-lived green turtle who possessed neither the strength of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle nor the extraordinary abilities of Master Roshi, he felt as if he were experiencing malice from the entire world.

The most critical issue at this moment wasn’t his own condition, but rather that his blind master had to fight against numerous opponents wielding unknown weapons in complete darkness. Even if the Mu numbered corps were rushing over and he only needed to hold out for three or four minutes, with such a vast difference in strength, let alone three minutes, even a few seconds could mean the difference between life and death.

Soon, Lin You and Second Young Master Mu, who was holding him, were pushed directly into the secret room by Mu Yanxiao, who then slammed and locked the door from the outside. He was so fast that Lin You didn’t even have time to protest before he heard the door slam shut with a bang.

After the door closed, Mu Yanming suddenly shouted, his voice filled with frustration. “I forgot the secret room can be locked from the outside!! Now I can’t get out!!”

Lin You froze upon hearing this, then opened his mouth and bit down mercilessly on Mu Yanming’s finger. How can your understanding of your own secret room be this terrible? What’s the point of you being alive? You might as well just die!!

“Ahhh—!! You bit me?! How could you bite me?” Mu Yanming shook his hand, but no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t shake Lin You off.

Then he suddenly stopped. He abruptly placed Lin You, the Turtle Immortal, in front of him and said, “If… if I wasn’t mistaken that day, are you the Cat Immortal? If you are the Cat Immortal, shouldn’t you be able to go out and help my brother? Aren’t immortals and spirits supposed to be able to easily take people down?”

Hearing this, Lin You raised his little turtle head, then thought dejectedly that the amount of medicine he’d asked Peng to transport over had been far too little. If he’d had ten or twenty boxes brought over, wouldn’t everything be solved if he simply scattered a handful of the powder? Although he might have to face suspicion and investigation from the Cultivation Realm.

But thinking about that now was useless. The reality was that the medicine wasn’t here, and his blind master was still outside alone, confronting the intruders. Just thinking about it made him incredibly worried. Although Mu One and Mu Two had mentioned that his blind master’s combat ability was enough to hold his own against Mu One, forgive him for spending more than two months by his master’s side without ever seeing him display such skills. Leaving his seemingly helpless master outside to face a group of thugs was simply too worrying.

At the very least, I have to go out there and watch the fight, and cheer him on!

So Lin You scratched vigorously at Second Young Master Mu’s palm. He seemed to remember seeing a small window in the secret room specifically for passing objects through. As long as Mu Yanming threw him through it, he should be able to get out. Of course, he’d have to be lucky enough to land on all four feet.

Lin You had originally thought this negotiation would take at least half a minute, but for some reason, Mu Yanming suddenly had a stroke of inspiration. He quickly placed Lin You in his palm, opened the little window, and promptly tossed him through it.

It took only five seconds.

Lin You was still a little dazed when he landed. When he finally came to his senses, he was almost furious enough to die.

That idiot who never thinks before acting!! Luckily I didn’t land on my back, okay? Otherwise, I’d never forgive him for the rest of my life!!

Even with the torrential rain and howling wind outside, the sound of Lin You being thrown down was enough to attract the attention of the thugs inside the quiet villa.

A bullet instantly struck the ground beside Lin You. However, about two seconds later, the thug who had fired it let out a muffled groan, followed by the sound of a heavy body hitting the floor. The room then fell silent again.

Since they were all lying on the ground, Lin You could clearly see that the fallen man was dressed in black. He had none of the handsome, arrogant, domineering aura of his blind master.

Lin You breathed a sigh of relief. Then, belatedly, he realized that the person who had just taken down the man in black might have been his blind master! In this pitch-black room, while surrounded by enemies, such a feat from a genuinely blind man seemed suspiciously like cheating!

#My Master Can’t Possibly Be This Brutal#

Lin You thought about it for a long time, but in the end, he still couldn’t quite convince himself that it was perfectly reasonable. However, thoughts and actions could happen at the same time. While wondering how capable his blind master seemed to be, Lin You quickly crawled toward the sofa. He remembered that because his turtle’s voice was too soft and speaking was such a hassle, he’d angrily thrown the newly purchased “translator” under the sofa. Thank goodness he’d been angry back then. Now he could use it to guide his blind master and reveal the enemies’ positions at the same time. Turtles actually had night vision? He wondered whether it was because of some genetic mutation in him or if turtles naturally had this ability.

It took another twenty-odd seconds for Lin You to find the translator, turn the volume up to maximum, and position the microphone near his mouth. Turtle Immortal Lin lay under the sofa, widening his little black-bean eyes as he searched for the men in black.

Mu Yanxiao crouched beside a low cabinet in the corner, holding his breath as he listened intently to every sound in the house. He had just heard something resembling a turtle shell hitting the ground, and at that moment, his heart had clenched uncontrollably. Then the sound of a bullet striking the ground sent a surge of fury through him.

His body reached the person’s location before his thoughts could even catch up. His hand rose and fell, and the knife cleanly ended another person’s life.

Even so, he didn’t feel relieved. He didn’t know whether his Linlin was still alive and well, or whether he was still obediently hiding in the secret room, protected from harm. But no matter what, he could only comfort himself with that thought. If he allowed his mind to become unsettled now, he wouldn’t be able to gain any advantage against the seven or eight thugs who had entered the house, and might even end up seriously injured.

No matter what, he had to stay calm. As Mu Yanxiao thought this, the sharp pain that had just flared in his head seemed to subside as well.

Compared to Mu Yanxiao, the eight assassins sent by the Chen Family weren’t feeling particularly calm either.

Their original plan had been to poison the targets in their sleep, but things hadn’t gone according to plan. They hadn’t expected Mu Yanxiao to detect that something was wrong and react so quickly even under the cover of such a torrential downpour.

Since they’d lost the initiative, trying to poison Mu Yanxiao now would only give him the chance to force his way out through the back door or a window. If he escaped, the Chen Family would face complete destruction. So, after abandoning the poisoning plan, half of the Chen Family’s assassins stayed outside while the other half stormed into the house to kill Mu Yanxiao and Mu Yanming as quickly as possible.

But the result shocked them. They knew Mu Yanming was a useless burden who posed no threat. As for Mu Yanxiao, although they’d heard that his combat ability was quite formidable, what could a blind man do? When the Chen Family’s assassins broke into the house, they had thought they could eliminate Mu Yanxiao in less than a minute.

A minute passed. Mu Yanxiao, despite being blind, remained completely unharmed, while they had inexplicably lost one of their own.

Was Mu Yanxiao really that powerful?!

The Chen Family’s assassins cautiously searched their surroundings for Mu Yanxiao, their hearts filled with uncertainty.

Just as the two sides were locked in a standoff, a loud and authoritative voice suddenly rang out inside the house.

“Comrades! For the victory of New China! Charge toward eight o’clock!”

In an instant, six or seven bullet holes appeared in the sofa where Lin You was hiding. Hearing the pfft pfft of the bullets hitting it, Lin You gave the incredibly sturdy sofa manufacturer thirty-two thumbs-up. Next time, I’ll make sure my blind master buys all his furniture from you!! An honest and trustworthy manufacturer! Five-star review!!

As the bullets flew, a man in black standing at eight o’clock suddenly fell straight to the ground with an expression of disbelief. A round bullet hole appeared between his eyebrows.

Chen Family’s assassins: “!!”

How could there possibly be another person in the house?!

The “other person” had this to say: Actually, I can be many people.

Then, replacing the solemn and dignified voice, a soft, cute, slightly coquettish voice rang out through the room.

“Ugh~ There’s an annoying fly at five o’clock~ Master, I’m so scared~~”

Several more bullet holes instantly appeared in the sofa, and the Chen Family assassin at five o’clock cried out in alarm the next second.

“I’ve been shot!!”

Looks like his blind master’s marksmanship wasn’t as good as last time. He hadn’t killed the man with one shot. Hmm, maybe that coquettish voice had disgusted him enough to throw off his aim.

This guess was extremely accurate.

If Mu Yanxiao had been unable to contain the joy in his heart when he first heard that solemn voice, then when he heard the second prompt, his hand couldn’t help but tremble slightly. He reached up and rubbed his temples. After several days of peace and quiet, suddenly hearing such a crazy voice again still took some getting used to. Still, fighting alongside his pet felt really good.

At this point, three of the eight assassins who had broken into the Mu residence had been taken down, and two minutes had passed. Mu Yanxiao could even hear the fierce fighting in the courtyard. If he waited another minute or two, these audacious intruders would all be brought to justice.

However, neither Young Master Mu, who was already getting into the killing mood, nor Turtle Immortal Lin, who was getting into the mood to play, was willing to simply sit around and wait for rescue. Thus, over the next minute and a half, all sorts of bizarre prompts filled the entire villa.

“Fuck! You dare break into my house! Aren’t you afraid you won’t make it back out?! One o’clock!!” This was the voice of a mafia boss.

The man in black at one o’clock died with his eyes wide open.

“My master didn’t give me my medicine today. I feel so cute! Eleven o’clock~”

The man in black at eleven o’clock died with hatred in his heart

“You were once a beautiful woman, so why become a thief?!” came the voice of a gentleman. “ Chen Shi. ”

The man in black at Chen Shi ran away.

Mu Yanxiao’s lips twitched. Couldn’t you just use standard time?!

When Lin You the Turtle Immortal finally spoke in the solemn tone of a genuine Buddhist master, “Lay down the butcher’s knife and become a Buddha,” the Mu Family’s numbered corps, who had rushed over from the neighboring villa, kicked down the door and hurried inside. Mu Two and Mu Three immediately wore expressions of utter alarm as they anxiously surveyed the room, while Mu One, Mu Four, and Mu Five quickly subdued the three remaining thugs inside.

Almost at the same time, Mu Two and Mu Three let out delighted cheers. They saw their boss squatting beside the sofa with a deeply conflicted expression, apparently trying to reach underneath it.

Mu numbered corps, “…” Is the boss having another episode?

Then the five of them heard a voice that made goosebumps break out all over their bodies.

“Hehe, you’re just like the police in the movies, showing up only when the thugs are almost finished. And now for a news brief…”

They turned on the lights. Mu One and the others looked at the sofa, now riddled with holes, and felt that it had truly earned its fate. With someone who was incredibly good at provoking hatred hiding underneath it and using it as a shield, it was no wonder the sofa had been shot full of holes.

However, Mu Three couldn’t help but suck in a breath when he saw the five men in black lying on the floor. He’d almost forgotten how terrifying the boss was after such a long period of inactivity. Back then, even when he, Mu Four, and Mu Five had attacked together, they’d been utterly crushed by the boss. Ah, actually, being blind wasn’t so bad, was it? At least his apparent level of ferocity had dropped several notches, making him seem much gentler and more harmless. Although his nature hadn’t changed at all, it was enough to put people at ease.

“Tie them all up together. Also, go to the Zheng and Chen families and bring Zhang Shan, Zhang Ya, and their families here. If Zheng Yuhu has escaped, leave him for now. Bring everyone else here.” Mu Yanxiao spoke calmly as he reached a hand under the sofa. “They’ve even sent assassins. They don’t need to wait until they’re bankrupt before fleeing to a small city. Put them all in prison! These days, if I’m not ruthless enough, they’ll think I have a good temper.”

Mu Two’s eyes flashed as he pushed up his glasses. “Should Zhang Shan and Zhang Ya’s husbands be brought along too?”

“If a wife does something and her husband doesn’t know about it, then what kind of husband is he? They’re clearly greedy and want the benefits, yet they still want to stay out of it. Humph. They want to be whores while still pretending to be virtuous. What a pipe dream.”

And so, while Zhang Shan and her husband and Zhang Ya’s husband were still asleep, their doors were suddenly broken down. They were tied up without a word and hauled into a car. Meanwhile, Zhang Ya, who was anxiously waiting for news at the hotel, never received the good news she wanted. Instead, she got Mu Three, complete with electronic surveillance equipment.

That night, two of the ten great families of City A were thoroughly humiliated. By tomorrow, perhaps there would only be eight great families left in City A. The only blemish was that Zheng Yuhu had escaped, and Chen Yuhe’s whereabouts were still unknown.
