Esper X Family – Chapter 612 – Covert Observation
Esper X Family – Chapter 612 – Covert Observation
“Pathfinder, advance.”
At the command, the fleet silently entered the solar system.
“Activate the Void Boundary Field.”
The Void Boundary Field spread like an invisible film, silently enveloping the entire fleet.
Inside the primary command cabin of the flagship Pathfinder, Commander White Comet confirmed the final arrangements via the holographic star chart.
As the field fully deployed, all detectable signatures of the ships seemed to be veiled by an intangible shroud, as if isolated into another dimension.
By the conventional observation methods of the normal universe, this massive expeditionary force had now merged seamlessly with the depths of the starry background, becoming a shadow that “did not exist”.
This was precisely a manifestation of their civilization’s highly advanced spatial technology and law-application capabilities.
“Void Boundary Field is stable.” A technical officer reported calmly.
White Comet nodded slightly, her silvery-grey eyes fixed on the blue planet prominently marked at the center of the star chart.
“Maintain current status. Set course for the predetermined observation point. All units, enter Level One Silence Mode.”
White Comet’s voice was steady, carrying an air of unquestionable authority.
The fleet began to move toward the inner system in a near-“gliding” motion.
Wrapped within the Void Boundary Field, they stirred no anomalous disturbance in the debris even as they passed through the asteroid belt.
However, the moment they crossed the gravitational boundary of the solar system, a pair of eyes had already “glanced” over.
Bluestar, Ye Yao’s residence.
Ye Yao, who was lazily multitasking with three bodies, suddenly lifted an eyelid, the corner of her lips curling into a knowing smile.
“They’re here. Quite the show of force, and they brought plenty of toys… I wonder, once we’re familiar, could I snatc— ahem , “borrow” one to play with?”

She had long since obtained detailed information about the arrivals from Tu Sheng.
That included their civilization’s name, the “Watcher Civilization”, as well as the exact time and coordinates of their arrival in the solar system.
Ye Yao had already activated Attribute Fission to monitor in advance.
Sure enough, their scale was immense, clearly prepared for a fight to the death.
Ye Yao had no doubt that they would be willing to go down fighting against the suspected source of calamity.
After all, they were the vanguard.
Ye Yao then cast her gaze toward Fu Qi’s location.
As Bluestar’s strongest spatial Esper, he seemed completely oblivious to the anomaly in the solar system.
Thinking it over, that made sense.
In his normal state, Fu Qi was just a weakling.
Without activating his form skills, he truly couldn’t perceive the entire planet, let alone the whole solar system.
Lou Wei in his normal state couldn’t either.
No matter how specialized one was, insufficient raw stats made it impossible.
“Hmm, they’re hiding well. Interesting.”
Ye Yao’s “divine sense” spread like liquid mercury, silently and effortlessly penetrating the enemy’s supposedly impenetrable Void Boundary Field barrier.
In her perception, which transcended conventional dimensions, that fleet was not “nonexistent”.
It was more like an exquisite model draped in a delicate veil.
Every ship’s silhouette, the texture of its energy flow, even the mental fluctuations of the lifeforms within, were all clearly discernible.
Ye Yao could sense the stable, massive energy sources inside those warships.
Once they fully unleashed their power, even destroying planets would be trivial.

She counted the fleet’s size with amusement, several thoughts flickering through her mind:
“Hmm… at this magnitude, converted into individual combat power, it’s probably somewhere around tens of millions of points of mental power, roughly comparable to the scale of the full power ultimate move executed by Crimson Wheel in her Ultimate Solar Flare form.”
Of course, that was just an estimation based on energy levels. The other side might have other heavyweight weapons.
Once laws came into play, anything was possible.
Ye Yao sank into thought, and with a single thought—
A flash of white light, and a petite silver-haired girl fell into her arms, her body slightly smaller than Ye Yao herself.
She was probably around 1.3 meters tall.
Her most striking feature was the pair of small white wings atop her head, like ornaments on either side.
But they were full of life, twitching occasionally, and if she controlled them a bit, they might even shield those captivating pink eyes.
Like Ye Yao, she was undeniably a beauty in the making.
“Go, Xing Lan. Turn those fleets into our toys.
I know it’s hard, but this is an order!
My happiness rests on you. Your mother believes in you.”
Indeed, this was Xing Lan in her divine bird loli form!
Only when alone would Ye Yao transform Xing Lan into human form and ruthlessly pet her.
The feel was quite nice.
At Ye Yao’s command, the bird-loli blinked, looking utterly helpless.
“M-Me?”
“Yes, don’t be afraid. You are the embodiment of a legendary world-destroying ability. You can annihilate a mere fleet with a wave of your hand!”
Ye Yao expressed full confidence.

“Umm…”
After a moment of thought, Xing Lan extended a hand, as if asking for pocket money.
“Then… give me back a little of my authority, and I’ll take care of it.”
“No. You can just elbow the starships with your bare body.”
Ye Yao’s reply came without a moment’s hesitation.
Xing Lan was dumbfounded.
“You’re not raising me anymore…?”
How could there be such a worthless mother, master, daughter, sister…?
“Then I’m not going. I choose to be a little good-for-nothing.”
Xing Lan clung tightly to Ye Yao, like a koala refusing to let go, determined to stick to her no matter what.
“Useless fat bird!”
Ye Yao wore a look of exasperation, although she wasn’t serious in the slightest.
It was all just playing.
Ye Yao turned her gaze back to the starry sky.
She had no intention of revealing herself just yet.
On one hand, since the other party was being so cautious, she was curious to see what this expeditionary fleet really intended to do.
On the other hand, she also wanted to assess whether the Watcher Civilization’s conduct truly aligned with what Tu Sheng’s observations and Yi Ling’s records suggested, whether they possessed a baseline of “order” and “morality”.
If they merely gathered information quietly, without showing any immediate intent to destroy or forcefully intervene.
Ye Yao wouldn’t mind giving them a little more observation time.
It was a basic sign of respect for a “civilization”.

Or rather, to satisfy her own appetite for entertainment.
“Let’s just watch and see if they really deserve my respect. It’s rare to encounter polite visitors from beyond the heavens. As long as they’re not like the interstellar stray dog, everything’s negotiable.”
Ye Yao adjusted her posture, sinking more comfortably into the sofa.
Yet, her divine sense remained like the most sophisticated surveillance network, locked firmly onto every move inside the flagship Pathfinder.
Aboard the flagship, White Comet and their team were utterly unaware that they were being “watched” by a being of a higher order.
The stable data feedback from the Void Boundary Field assured them of their successful concealment.
“We have entered a safe distance within the inner star system. The target planet is within reach.”
The data analyst displayed high-precision scan images.
The oceans and continents of Bluestar were clearly visible.
Even the flow of clouds and the glittering lights of nighttime cities could be seen.
White Comet nodded, her gaze filled with gravity.
“Analyze the target civilization’s structure. Acquire information on their culture, history, political system, and more.”
Although Ye Yao couldn’t understand their language, she watched with great interest.
