L ONG TIME NO READ. IT’S TAKIBI AMAMORI.
Wow, two volumes of losing heroines. You’d think they couldn’t lose anymore, but here we are, thanks to all of your support. This time around, we’re giving the spotlight to the only one who didn’t get a chance to really shine—our lovely Lemon-chan.
It truly is an honor to be given the opportunity to depict life after-the-fact for heroines both lucky and unlucky.
Imigimuru-sensei really hit it out of the park with Asagumo-san, considering she only had a short cameo in Volume 1. Shikiya-san as well. Who knows what’s going on inside that head of hers. Actually, maybe she was there all along? Scary thought.
I certainly tried Mr. Iwaasa’s patience with this volume. His guidance had us bouncing drafts back and forth all the way up to the deadline, which was surely a nightmare for Imigimuru-sensei when things inevitably came in late. My apologies to everyone affected by the crunch, and my thanks for nonetheless producing such a quality final product.
The existence of which I owe to you, the readers. Largely for buying my book, yes, but also in part because a story is only truly a story when experienced. That’s right. You, the reader, are responsible for breathing life into Team Failgirl via the stage in your head.
Loyalty to the cause is voluntary, of course, but I hope you’ll stick with us.
If another volume is in the cards, we’ll join a slightly more mature Nukumizu-kun for his second semester. Rest assured, there will be plenty of losers. I hope they’ll have your company as they figure out this thing called life.
Now, I was given a rather generous number of pages to write this afterword. I considered filling them with talk about my health and my age and that one time I counted it wrong, thereby consecrating me a year younger (if only that was how it worked). Even got about halfway through that idea, but I stopped because I, an adult, have that power.
So if you flip back a few pages, you can see I made the grown-up decision to dedicate them to the interlude I never got to fit into the main story. It takes place directly after Loss 3 and doesn’t really have any bearing on the plot, but hey. Consider it behind the scenes.
