Volume 1, Chapter 166 – Sacred Martial Immortal Sect
Facing Yan Jun’s mockery, the man did not say a single word. He took one step back and vanished into the crowd of peerless beauties.
Boom!
The golden sea of swords surged open, whipping up a tidal wave within the astral wind layer. That gaudy world of flowers was ground to pieces, countless enchanting women torn apart into bare bones and foul blood.
In the past, even the Six-Desires Heaven Demons had failed to stir his heart in the slightest—let alone these fake songbirds and swallows.
As the gaudy world collapsed, the scene around him shifted again in an instant, turning into a rather elegant courtyard.
Yan Jun’s expression did not change, but the chill in his eyes deepened.
“Mo Bei…”
A whisper as soft as spring wind and fine rain sounded beside his ear.
The golden sea of swords around Yan Jun dissipated. He slowly turned around, the cold light in his gaze fading, his eyes shadowed and unreadable, holding a thousand tangled thoughts.
In the courtyard sat a graceful young woman in a light blue dress. She seemed to be in the first bloom of youth, her brows gentle and soft. She raised a hand and beckoned to Yan Jun.
“Mo Bei, come here…”
Yan Mobei flipped his hand, resting the cyan ancient sword across his back. He walked slowly to the woman’s side, drew her into his arms, and gently stroked the long black hair cascading down her back.
……
Outside the courtyard, the astral wind still howled without end. Nearly a thousand zhang above the courtyard’s sky, a solitary throne had appeared in the void. The alluring man lounged sideways upon it, smoothing the fur of the little white fox in his arms as he murmured under his breath:
“The seven emotions and six desires of man… I truly want to see which two emotions you kept…”

The little white fox rolled over, its narrow eyes squinting to slits. It stretched out its head and nudged at the man’s palm.
……
Yan Mobei’s hand left the top of the woman’s head and slid down to her cheek.
“What’s wrong, Mo Bei?” the graceful woman asked, catching his hand with a puzzled look.
Yan Mobei stroked her soft face, eyes filled with apology.
Shing!
Golden divine light flashed. The graceful woman in front of him and the courtyard along with her were crushed into nothingness, dissolving into the razor-sharp astral winds.
“Today, I’m killing you.”
Yan Mobei lifted his head to stare at the throne not far above, forcing the words out through clenched teeth.
The moment his voice fell, sword momentum gathered. The cyan ancient sword flipped point-up, its blade aimed at the sky as a streak of cyan sword qi burst forth, slashing toward the throne.
The surrounding astral wind was swept up by the sword qi, turning into a world-shocking rainbow that cleaved heaven and earth apart, carving a sky-chasm through the astral wind layer.
This sword seemed to cut the Milky Way itself, transcending the mortal realm—worthy of being called an immortal’s strike.
Unleashed from Yan Mobei’s hand, the Divine Martial Heavenly Astral Sword Qi was at least a thousand times stronger than when Bai Weiyang had used it. This was the true bearing of a supreme martial art.
The little white fox yawned, bit onto the hem of the man’s robe, and tugged twice.

“At least you managed to show ‘anger.’ Not a wasted effort, then.” The man arched a brow, then sent the little white fox in his hands into his small world before slipping into the void.
Crack!
The lone throne was torn apart by the sword qi. Even after the man vanished, the sword qi remained locked onto him, hacking straight into the void in pursuit.
A faint red gleam surfaced in Yan Mobei’s eyes, his aura growing increasingly manic.
……
Down on the battlefield below, the chaos only intensified. The area affected by the battle now spanned nearly ten thousand li. Whole stretches of mountains and land were crushed, and several cities were destroyed in the aftershocks, with countless casualties.
Bai Weiyang and the other two had been drawn away from the warship amidst the melee.
Boom—crack!
A violent sound came from the battered warship. The hull beneath everyone’s feet trembled uncontrollably.
Shi Lan strode to the side of the ship and glanced down, spotting swarms of demon apes.
New beast hordes, driven here by the transformed demon kings, had arrived at the battlefield.
As more and more powerful demon experts gathered, and with the warship now far from the center of the battlefield, the low-level demon beasts finally gained room to move. Unlike the previous herd, which could not even twitch and had likely already been ground into a paste of blood and flesh by the battle’s shockwaves, these ones still had freedom to act.
These demon apes of unknown breed had powerful bodies and unusually thick arms, each thicker than its own thigh.
The shattered mountains had broken into countless huge boulders, which the demon apes were now using as weapons, hurling them at the warship.

The heavily damaged hull no longer had the strength to raise its barriers to block the barrage of stones and was on the verge of collapse.
“Prepare to land!”
Myriad-man Commander Ren Kaiyang walked out from the ship’s interior and gave the order in a deep voice. Judging the situation on the battlefield and directing deployments was the basic duty of an officer. In Bai Weiyang’s absence, he held the highest authority aboard the warship.
With the warship unable to hold out much longer, it was better to land and fight the demon race to the death than to hang in the air as a sitting target and be shot down.
Fortunately, everyone had already completed their preparations earlier. There was no need to waste more time.
Shi Lan swung into the saddle and swept his gaze across the scene, quickly tallying the number of men under his command. Then he drew his war halberd and gripped it in his palm.
The mountains and hills all around were crawling with demon beasts. A brutal battle was inevitable. He could not afford to relax.
“Screech… screech…”
Seeing the warship plummeting from the sky, some of the demon apes on the ground backed away in panic, while others edged closer to watch.
Boom—screech!
The warship slammed into the ground and skidded nearly a thousand zhang, crushing to death a huge number of demon beasts that hadn’t managed to flee in time.
Tap… tap…
The heavy sound of hooves rang out as over ten thousand Demon-Suppressing Army cavalry rode out at the head, leaving the warship like a torrent of black flooding down its side, with tens of thousands of martial artists close behind them.
“All forces, hear my order. Break out in all directions and head toward the other garrisons. Kill!”

Ren Kaiyang had no power to control the overall situation. All he could do was let everyone fight their way out in their own directions and hope to escape with their lives.
After consulting Lunhui, Shi Lan found a section of the beast horde that was slightly thinner and spurred his mount toward it. At this point, most of the Body Tempering Realm martial artists were dragging heavily wounded bodies. In such high-intensity combat, they could not last long. They needed a swift battle, won quickly.
……
Another spatial rift split the sky. The hearts of the human experts all skipped a beat, sinking at once.
A burly man in black robes with a massive blade strapped to his back stepped out of the rift. Several figures in differently colored robes followed him, their auras laid bare for all to feel—more Heaven-Man Realm experts.
They all shared one trait: at their collars, a blazing sun was embroidered in gold thread.
People from the Sacred Martial Immortal Sect had finally arrived.
No sooner had the black-robed man appeared than an enraged roar rang out across the battlefield:
“Bastard, give my elder sister back her life!”
The speaker was the red-dressed woman from before. Her beautiful face was now streaked with red around the eyes, leaving only naked, undisguised killing intent.
The fire laws surged like a furnace, melting a stretch of heaven and earth as they crushed down toward the black-robed man.
The black-robed man’s expression did not shift. He drew the massive blade from his back in an instant, and a slash of knife light beyond description sliced out, shearing through space and sending the furnace of laws to be buried in another world.
“Luo Xiuhan… today, you die here!” the red-dressed woman shouted harshly, wreathed in flames. “Everyone, lend me your strength and take this man down. Whoever takes his life, I’ll agree to any condition you name!”
