Several world-ending bolts of lightning descended, shattering the barrier above the valley floor and blanketing everyone below without distinction.

Shi Lan came back to herself from the system prompts and looked toward Lin Mo, who was not far away in the lightning. Her expression changed immediately. Lin Mo’s eyes were black-red, and the aura around his whole body had completely changed. Clearly, some unknown thing had taken over his body.

The sword light fell like a bolt of lightning. Its sword qi shot straight into the vault of heaven, tearing the sky apart, shredding all the divine radiance around the green lotus, and slashing onto the lotus itself.

A piece of the lotus’s root was torn away. The sword light did not pause in the slightest, but kept going and struck the earth, leaving behind beneath the mountain range a gigantic sword scar dozens of li long.

The ancient variants that had been in the valley before were almost all slain by this single sword strike!
