Chapter 35: Overslept

"Busy-day Monday!"

For every wage earner fighting to make a living, it meant the start of a new week, another small cycle in their life as corporate slaves, and a day that pushed them further away from their dreams.

Su Yunzhou yawned and struggled to sit up in bed. His brain was still a bit foggy. Out of habit, he picked up his phone and saw several missed calls from Li Yan.

He glanced at the time: 9:35 AM.

"Uh... What time was my car delivery ceremony again?" he wondered. He immediately called her back.

A moment later, Li Yan's excited voice rang out from the receiver.

"Mr. Su, you finally answered! I was so worried..."

Su Yunzhou offered a brief explanation and promised that he would definitely be there. He then hung up and headed to the bathroom. After a quick shower, he felt half-alive again. The other half would just have to recover slowly.
