Volume 1, Chapter 11 – Blood Addiction?
In a room no larger than five square meters, a girl with disheveled white hair and not a single scar on her body let out a yawn.
After telling Camilla that she wanted to take a bath, Camilla had promptly arranged everything for her. The reason it was called an “arrangement” was because the process was genuinely cumbersome.
She had made the request at six in the afternoon—the status bar had a time display function—but by the time the bathwater was ready, it was already ten at night.
The servants had to first chop the purchased large firewood into smaller pieces, then draw water from the well bucket by bucket. Finally, they had to boil the water in a large pot before pouring it into a well-insulated, sturdy wooden tub. To fill the bathtub in the bathroom, this process had to be repeated at least five times. And because the first batch of boiling water poured into the tub would cool down, everything had to be done quickly. By the time they finished, nearly twenty servants in the entire mansion were drenched in sweat.
“Maybe I should try to avoid asking for baths in the future…”
Yisi sighed. Bathing was an incredibly luxurious affair in this other world. Even the eldest daughter of a count rarely made such a request—not because she disliked cleanliness, but because the entire society lacked the concept of frequent bathing. People only went through the lengthy process on major holidays, which was different from the historical notion she knew, where people avoided bathing because they believed it caused illness.
The mansion’s bathroom was located on the first floor of a separate building. Compared to the average bedroom’s nearly twenty-square-meter size, the bathroom was a cramped space of less than five square meters. Once the bathtub was placed inside, the room became extremely crowded.
Not only that, but the bathing facilities were also severely lacking. For starters, people in this world didn’t wash themselves before soaking in the water—they simply stripped and stepped right into the tub. As a result, the floor had no drainage system, forcing Yisi to soak directly in the tub as well. Secondly, there was no soap or body wash, giving the whole process a distinct lack of ritual.
Smoothing out her wet white hair, Yisi snapped her fingers, finding the room too dim.
“Light.”
The previously dim, yellowish room was instantly filled with a bright white glow. Yisi squinted slightly.
“As expected, even simple magic can be replicated. ‘Light’ isn’t even a first-tier spell, right? Too bad ‘Ragnarøk’ isn’t all-powerful…”
First, she could only use skills she had already learned. Second, there were spells in this world that didn’t exist in “Ragnarøk,” such as “Clean,” which could wash clothes without water, or “Food Creation,” which conjured food out of thin air.
That said, the food created by “Food Creation” was notoriously terrible. In the memories of the count’s eldest daughter, most soldiers would rather starve than eat magically conjured meals.

“Well, as long as the spells I know can keep me alive, that’s enough. Asking for too much would be overwhelming. For now… I should take a good look at this body.”
Taking a deep breath, Yisi sat in the small bathtub. Since there was a mirror hanging on the wall, she could easily examine every part of her body.
And then she blushed.
“How should I put it… this weird sense of guilt…”
This body wasn’t originally hers. When Yisi saw her reflection, she naturally felt embarrassed, as if she were peeking at a beautiful girl’s naked body. Even though she knew the reflection was her, she couldn’t help but avert her gaze.
“I did have a relationship in college, but it ended almost as soon as it started. This is probably the first time I’ve seen a girl my age—no, a teenage girl’s entire body…”
The count’s eldest daughter was only fourteen, with almost no chest to speak of. Though her flawless facial features and the slender curve from her waist to her legs were enough to make anyone swallow hard, and her white hair draped over her hips, paired with her dewy, fair skin, was undeniably alluring—lusting after a little girl like this would make her a full-blown criminal.
This type of physique wasn’t within Yisi’s preferences. Apart from curiosity and a sense of shame, she felt nothing else.
“Hmm, I haven’t checked the most important thing yet…”
Was there any chance her male attributes had carried over?
Holding onto a sliver of hope, Yisi glanced downward.
—Nothing.
A wave of indescribable sorrow filled the bathroom.
A moment later.
“Come to think of it, they say women’s chests are sensitive… Is that true?”

To verify a question that had long puzzled her, Yisi’s curiosity overcame her guilt. She placed her slender, seemingly fragile right hand on her left chest—she could feel her heart beating strongly—and lightly traced a finger across it.
Aside from a slight tickle, she felt nothing.
So adult comics were all lies.
Yisi clicked her tongue.
The bathroom fell into silence. After about a minute, Yisi let out a long sigh.
“Haah… I wonder what’s happening back on Earth. At this point, I’ve definitely been dumped into another world. I hadn’t even finished the game I just bought, and I didn’t get to say goodbye to my online friends. Ugh, if they notice I’ve been offline for ages, they’ll probably joke that I went to another world to find true love. Damn it, always laughing about everything.”
But this also put her at ease. If everyone had grown somber over her disappearance, she would’ve felt weighed down too. She hated silent, lifeless atmospheres.
“Still, I never got to thank that anonymous benefactor. I hope they don’t feel too disappointed.”
At this thought, Yisi shrugged, causing ripples in the water.
In her original world, Yisi’s parents had passed away shortly after she entered middle school. The only support she had was an anonymous person who regularly deposited living expenses into her parents’ account. Though she had wanted to thank them, she had no leads to track them down. Later, through various channels, she learned that the sender might have been an entrepreneur her parents had once supported—but who exactly, she had no idea.
“At this point, regret is useless. I might as well focus on living properly here.”
Most fantasy protagonists, upon transmigrating, immediately sought a way home. But Yisi didn’t feel particularly strongly about it—if anything, she felt a flicker of excitement for the future. As long as she was alive, did it really matter which world she was in?
Besides, as someone who had always loved fantasy, she had yearned for an otherworldly adventure. Now that the wish had been granted, she wasn’t about to give it up.
Most importantly, she could now savor the taste of blood—something beyond human experience.

Setting aside the revolting idea of drinking blood, Yisi had already sampled it earlier. The blissful sensation it brought was something she could already feel herself becoming addicted to. If possible, she even wanted to exercise her authority as the count’s daughter to seek out blood of all kinds.
“And among vampires, there’s that legend about champagne-flavored blood…”
Rumors said that somewhere in the world, there existed blood with the taste of champagne. Any vampire who tasted it would deem all other blood unworthy. Its richness and depth were said to drive vampires to madness.
Of course, this was just something from the count’s daughter’s memories. Whether it was true or not, Yisi didn’t know. But it gave her a direction—legends were often exaggerations of reality. In other words, there really might be champagne-like blood that could intoxicate vampires.
“I wonder what it tastes like.”
Unconsciously, Yisi licked her lips. She might already be addicted to blood.
“Damn it, just thinking about blood makes me want to grab someone and bite them. And of course, I’m a pureblood, so my victims would get hooked on the feeling.”
A pureblood vampire’s saliva had potent hallucinogenic properties. Anyone bitten would become addicted, unable to break free from the pureblood’s control. Though the symptoms would fade after a few months of abstinence, the current circumstances didn’t allow for that. If a bunch of blood slaves suddenly became infatuated with the count’s daughter, suspicions would inevitably arise. If some busybody uncovered her identity, she’d be in real trouble.
If her identity were exposed, her last resort would be to abandon her plan of gathering information through the Church and living among humans, fleeing instead with high-tier teleportation magic.
This was a last-ditch measure. Unless things became irreparable, Yisi intended to avoid it at all costs.
“From now on, I’ll collect all kinds of blood while building good relationships with those around me. Connections are valuable no matter where you are. As for tomorrow’s plans—” She tapped a finger against her chin, pausing in thought. “First, I should learn about this world’s power structures, then test every skill I’ve learned so far. Hmm… and I’ll need to mimic the count’s daughter’s behavior—master her common phrases and mannerisms.”
This was basic identity concealment.
Realizing this, Yisi grew eager. Aside from the lines she used during her sadistic episodes, the count’s daughter’s most frequent phrases were “Kneel” and “Shut up.”
Clearing her throat, Yisi stood up in the bathtub and faced the mirror, pushing aside her lingering embarrassment. She narrowed her eyes slightly. The count’s daughter’s cold, aloof features lent an undeniable air of authority to the gesture.
“Kneel.”

A calm tone.
“Seems a bit lacking in impact. Maybe a louder voice would work better? A spoiled personality would definitely do that, right?”
Muttering to herself, Yisi took a deep breath and readjusted her stance, this time tilting her chin up slightly as if looking down on someone.
“Kneel!”
Her tone carried an undeniable command, but compared to the count’s daughter’s domineering presence, it still fell short.
“Haah… I’ll just have to keep practicing. Imitation isn’t easy.”
……
Ten minutes later.
“Kneel!—Ugh.”
Her stern, commanding tone was so convincing that for a moment, Yisi almost thought the count’s daughter had come back to life. She took a long moment to calm herself before finally exhaling.
“That was about 80% similar… I’ll stop here for today. My throat’s getting dry. Time for a break.”
Having decided this, Yisi relaxed her entire body as if releasing all the pent-up tension, sinking back into the steaming bathtub. She stretched lazily, then leaned her head against the edge, letting her white hair spread out in the water as she stared blankly at the ceiling.
“Once I relax, all I can think about is tasting more blood… Maybe I’m already addicted.”
No one heard Yisi’s murmur.
