Volume 1, Chapter 14 – Morning
When sunlight streamed through the window into the room, Yisi finally realized it was already the next day. Keeping her eyes closed, she habitually reached toward the side of her pillow to grab her phone and check the time.
Naturally, her hand found nothing. But Yisi was used to this—she must have placed her phone somewhere else before falling asleep. She yawned, the late autumn air carrying a faint chill, making her want to sleep a little longer.
“Onee-sama, the Holy Knight Commander of the Niru Diocese requests an audience.”
“Huh?”
The sudden voice made Yisi leap out from under the covers. Only after realizing it was Camilla speaking did she awkwardly clear her throat—this wasn’t Earth, but a place called the Alexia Continent.
Ah, right. She had already crossed over.
Yisi sighed inwardly, then straightened her pajamas, regaining her composure before stepping down from the extravagant canopy bed.
“Before we get to the Holy Knight Commander of Niru Diocese, did Camilla leave the room while I was asleep?”
Even without Camilla’s answer, Yisi knew the result was “no.” It wasn’t because Camilla had obediently followed the order not to leave her line of sight, but because no matter what, Camilla could only answer “no.” Yisi asked this meaningless question to buy her still-groggy brain some time to react.
Dressed in a cold-looking, off-shoulder black gown with dazzling golden hair, Camilla replied in a businesslike tone:

“No. The message was relayed to me by the mansion’s maid.”
“I see.”
Yisi exhaled softly. Though she wasn’t worried about Camilla betraying her, hearing the confirmation still put her at ease. However, Camilla’s current state left her unsure how to face her. If Camilla were a true robot, Yisi wouldn’t feel this discomfort. But Camilla was a human with flesh and blood—treating her emotionlessly was something Yisi couldn’t bring herself to do.
She had anticipated this last night when going to bed. Since she had ordered Camilla not to leave her sight, and the eldest daughter’s room only had one bed, Camilla had intended to sleep on the floor. Of course, Yisi couldn’t allow an unarmed girl to sleep on the cold floor, so she had Camilla share the large bed with her. Fortunately, the bed was spacious enough for five or six people, so Yisi didn’t feel constrained by Camilla sleeping beside her.
As for Camilla seeing her sleeping face when waking up early—that was unavoidable. Thinking of this, Yisi couldn’t help but glance at Camilla’s expression. There was none. In other words, even if Camilla had seen it, she would only silently judge. But it was precisely this thought that embarrassed Yisi.
No… when you think about it, having a girl I just met sleep in the same bed as me—even if she saw my terrible sleeping face, I’d still be the one benefiting. And Camilla is a—uh, never mind.
Yisi instinctively glanced at Camilla’s age-appropriate chest development. If she hadn’t noticed yesterday that Camilla’s chest was actually padded, Camilla would have been exactly within her preferred range. Of course, that was assuming Camilla grew a couple more years older. Right now, Camilla was probably between fifteen and sixteen. Though in this world, humans came of age at fifteen, Yisi still adhered to Earth’s standard of eighteen. Otherwise, she’d always worry about being arrested by time-traveling police one day.
Ahem. “So… Camilla plans to go out like this—I mean, with this personality?”
“No. When others are present, I will let the other Camilla take over.”
“So, you’re only like this when we’re alone?”
“Yes.”

Camilla nodded slightly, her face still expressionless. Yisi couldn’t help but complain that Camilla had such an outgoing-looking face, yet her personality was like a robot’s. It was the complete opposite of her current self—her inner thoughts were lively, but she had to pretend to be expressionless.
Setting aside their interests, if she were to treat Camilla purely as a member of the opposite sex, she’d prefer her to act more like a normal girl. Of course, Yisi still didn’t know how to interact with Camilla properly. That was something to figure out later. If Camilla harbored no ill will toward her, she’d treat Camilla with sincerity in return.
The key issue was lack of understanding. If she weren’t Loiswell, but an ordinary person, perhaps this awkwardness wouldn’t exist.
Thinking this, Yisi tentatively said:
“What if I asked Camilla to use the other personality even when we’re alone? Well—I mean, you could act more freely, according to your own preferences. Right now, you’re too rigid.”
“I understand maintaining the other personality at all times, but Onee-sama, what do you mean by ‘acting freely’?”
“Doing things you like.”
“Your order is strange.”
Does Camilla not have anything she likes? Yisi nearly asked aloud but held back. Without knowing Camilla’s past, it was better not to ask potentially offensive questions.
“Never mind. Let’s stick to what you said—outwardly expressive around others, and like this when we’re alone.”

“As you wish.”
“Leave for now. I need to change—don’t worry about the ‘not leaving my sight’ order.”
“If that is your will.”
With a slight bow, Camilla quietly left the room.
Of course, this wasn’t Yisi trying to dismiss Camilla—she really did need to change. She didn’t trust herself to remain calm while undressing in front of a beautiful girl.
However, her relief lasted only a few seconds. When Yisi opened the wardrobe and saw the dazzling array of extravagant dresses inside, she froze as if struck by lightning.
Yisi had finally realized: she would have to put on a Gothic Lolita outfit herself.
“This… can’t be helped. As long as I don’t tell anyone, no one will know about my past self.”
Even so, something inside her seemed to shatter. Back in the early 21st century, there had been a brief trend of men wearing women’s clothing. As a person from the future, Yisi had scoffed at it, unable to understand why it was even a thing. Yet now, she found herself in a situation where she not only had to wear such clothes but also appear in public wearing them. If she had to describe her current feelings, “a mix of emotions” would be an understatement.
“Ugh… if I take this seriously, I’ve already lost.”
Suppressing her shame and reluctance, Yisi picked out a relatively conservative black gown from the pile of lace-trimmed, ruffled, and metal-embellished dresses. It came with sheer gloves and asymmetrical thigh-high stockings.

Realizing this was the most modest option available, Yisi gave up resisting and prepared to resign herself to wearing it.
“Wait… where’s the underwear?”
In this world, panties weren’t triangular but more like safety shorts—square-cut with feminine frills at the edges. While still somewhat within Yisi’s tolerance range, she couldn’t find anything resembling a bra in the wardrobe. After a fruitless search, she had no choice but to dig through the eldest daughter’s memories.
A moment later.
“Damn it, they just use cloth strips instead? Whatever, this body doesn’t even need a bra. Let’s just move on.”
But the challenges didn’t end there. After some time, Yisi discovered something critical:
She couldn’t put the dress on by herself.
Partly due to lack of experience, but also because the dress’s design was never considered “ease of wear.” As a noble, it was taken for granted that servants would handle dressing. For the eldest daughter, at least two maids were needed each time she changed clothes.
“…Guess I’ll have to call the maids.”
Her frustration turned into humiliation. Yisi cooled her flushed face with ice water before stepping out to ask Camilla to summon the maids.
