Volume 3, Chapter 27 – Provocation from Blue Sea

A roar of laughter erupted from Blue Sea’s table.

“Hahahaha, the Church doesn’t take in useless people who can’t even beat a slime.”

“The Flame Conquerors are so down on their luck they’re recruiting idiots like this. They call themselves Antonio City’s number one adventurer guild, but they’re just relying on the former Guild Leader’s reputation.”

“I heard their Guild Leader Clementine is a lolicon. Disgusting.”

“Yesterday, he brought people to look for trouble with us, but our Guild Leader just sent them packing. If it were me, I would have been so ashamed I’d have killed myself. To see a Flame Conqueror here today, I guess their skin is so thick a sword can’t pierce it, hahahaha.”

Upon realizing it was the Blue Sea group, Ainos and Lala’s faces instantly twisted in anger.

Before Ainos and Lala could turn around, Kuro placed his hand on the table in front of Ainos.

“Ainos, calm down. They’re provoking us because they know they have the upper hand. If we take the bait here, we’ll only bring shame to the Guild Leader later.”

“Ugh…”

Ainos took a deep breath, clenching his fists tightly as he forcibly suppressed his rage.

But forbearance only made the other side more brazen. The lean adventurer’s arrogance grew even more. His expression twisted in an exaggerated manner, and after sizing up Ainos for a moment, his gaze landed on Yisi across from him.

Before the lean adventurer could finish his sentence, Lala swung the plate of steak, meat and all, directly into his face, causing him to cry out in pain.

The Blue Sea adventurers immediately rose from their seats, cursing as they charged towards Ainos’s group in the corner.

Lala grabbed a nearby bench and slapped Ainos on the shoulder.

“Ainos, get your gear!”

“Yeah! I’ve been wanting to beat up these bastards for a long time!”

“Looks like I’m in this too.”

Shaking his head, Kuro also rushed forward and got into a brawl with the Blue Sea group.

The entire tavern descended into chaos in an instant, with the sound of smashed tables, chairs, and dinner plates everywhere. The customers fled the tavern in a panic, and the staff hid under the counter, at a loss for what to do.

“Master… what should we do?”

Mary, who wanted to stand up but could only watch anxiously because she hadn’t received a command, looked at Yisi.

“Do you want to help, Mary?”

Mary nodded earnestly.

“Yes.”

“Then, wait for me to say ‘go,’ and then you charge out. For now, let’s prepare a bit.”

Because the level 14 adventurer hadn’t moved yet, the fight was completely in favor of Ainos’s group. The Blue Sea adventurers were generally weak and were no match for Ainos and Kuro in terms of physical strength. Lala, on the other hand, could use her nimble body to target the men’s weak points. “Is that so?” Finally, the level 14 adventurer with the effeminate demeanor rose from his seat. He first patted his clothes, then spat on the ground. “A bunch of remarkably tenacious bugs.”

Ainos’s group couldn’t even catch the man’s movement before he disappeared from in front of them.

The next time he appeared, he was already behind Lala.

He gave Lala a ruthless kick, and she immediately flew away like a sandbag. Kuro quickly went to catch her, while Ainos stepped in between Kuro and the male adventurer, unceremoniously kicking towards the man’s head from the side.

However, the powerful blow was easily caught by the male adventurer with his hand.

“Are you trying to tickle me?”

The adventurer, with his prominent cheekbones and deep-set eyes, mocked. Before Ainos could react, he grabbed Ainos’s ankle with both hands and twisted with a vicious expression, preparing to snap his right leg.

“Mary, go now! Do as I told you!”

“Yes!”

Like a leaping rabbit, Mary charged forward. Then.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa!”

The incredible speed was so fast that Mary herself yelled in surprise. By the time she came to her senses, she was already in front of the level 14 adventurer.

Sensing the danger, the man immediately let go of Ainos and took two steps back, his face grim as he stared at Mary.

“You… you’re already over level 10?”

Mary, who had been dazed, also recovered and remembered Yisi’s command. She raised her left hand high and, at the moment the man brought his face close to hers, closed her eyes and swung it hard from left to right.

It wasn’t a crisp slap. It was a blow powerful enough to deform a face. The strike, imbued with the double power of [Beginner Strength Boost] and [One-Hit Kill], sent the man flying straight to the right, landing with his face down precisely outside the tavern’s front door.

The entire tavern fell into a deathly silence, broken only by Mary’s confused “Eh?”

Clearing her throat, Yisi rose from the bench, placed a few gold coins on the table, and beckoned Mary and Ainos’s group to leave the tavern.

Yisi glanced at the man lying face down on the ground, offering him a suggestion in her heart.
