Volume 1, Chapter 19 – Meteorite Fall (Part 2)
“What… what is that…?”
Following Owen’s pointing finger, Camilla and Oslo looked up. Almost instantly, their expressions changed—the former showed only mild surprise, while the latter gaped as if his mouth could swallow an entire egg.
“By the goddess Ymir… is that… a divine city?”
In the azure sky, a blood-red celestial body occupied half the firmament, and it was still expanding. The sky darkened, and a fierce wind swept across the wilderness. Oslo even felt as though he were being sucked upward toward that crimson monstrosity.
Unlike the sacred awe he had felt when gazing upon the statue of the goddess, this celestial body filled Oslo with nothing but endless oppression—a twisted darkness surging toward him, ready to devour and crush him. The air turned icy. Just a moment ago, they had been in a sweltering heat, but now it was as if they had plunged into a frozen cellar. Unbeknownst to him, Oslo’s legs had begun trembling uncontrollably, and his hand clutched the hilt of his sword so tightly it might have offered him a sliver of security.

It wasn’t just Oslo—Owen was no better off. The latter had already dropped to his knees, performing a ritual to beg the gods for forgiveness. His pale lips quivered incessantly, his mind completely lost.
Even Yisi herself was stunned by the apocalyptic scene. What had she summoned? A meteor? No—if someone had told her it was a planet, she would have believed it.
Suddenly, she recalled a legend circulating among players: “Falling Meteor” had an extremely low chance of summoning a planetary-scale celestial body. Though terrifying in appearance, the actual impact was no different from a normal meteor. But even knowing she might have just been lucky or unlucky enough to trigger this rare event, Yisi still felt her body go weak. She couldn’t let the spell actually land—no, the real question was, how could she stop it?
In the game, there was a cancel button, but reality offered no such convenience. Yisi could only scream inwardly—Stop! Cancel! Terminate!
Miraculously, it seemed to work. The continuous drain on her mana ceased, and Yisi immediately looked up to check the spell’s status—the crimson star was gradually shrinking. After what felt like an eternity, it finally vanished from sight.

Exhaustion washed over her. Her throat dry, Yisi coughed twice and only managed to stand steady with Camilla’s subtle support. She forced herself to regain composure. Though she looked rather disheveled, this spectacle should have been enough to intimidate the Holy Knight Commander.
With that thought, Yisi turned to the Holy Knight Commander, who had been standing beside her—and then her lips parted slightly in surprise.
Unlike Owen, who was prostrate on the ground, kowtowing to the gods in gratitude while wiping away tears, the Holy Knight Commander wasn’t much better off. His eyes had lost focus, and he kept muttering incoherently, looking like a madman off the streets.
“Sir Holy Knight Commander, I believe this should suffice as proof of my power?”

As if he hadn’t heard her, the Holy Knight Commander continued murmuring.
“Sir Holy Knight Commander?”
Worried, Yisi waved her hand in front of his face.
Still no reaction.
She might have gone too far.

“Onee-sama, I suggest we escort these two back to the church first. The power you displayed was… somewhat excessive.”
“…Yeah.”
With no other choice, Yisi descended the mountain and had the coachmen carry Oslo and Owen into the carriage. She and Camilla then took another carriage back. Interestingly, the people at the foot of the mountain seemed to have never seen the blood-red celestial body—even when Yisi mentioned it, they only looked confused. It appeared she really had encountered that rare event, and the crimson star was merely an illusion conjured by the magic.
“Well… at least the goal was achieved. The Holy Knight Commander probably won’t bother me for a while.”
Though she hadn’t managed to review all her spells, at least one objective was accomplished. Trying to stay optimistic, Yisi smiled wryly at Camilla, who sat across from her, still expressionless.
