Volume 1, Chapter 32 – The Pet Girls Raised by the Count’s Eldest Daughter
What in the world is going on?
For a moment, Yisi couldn’t process the situation. If this were a comic, a string of question marks would have filled the entire screen above her head. All she wanted was someone to draw blood from—she hadn’t asked for any strange rituals to be performed.
Was this some peculiar custom of brothels in this world? Even so, she certainly hadn’t requested five courtesans at once.
As Yisi’s mind reeled, the leading purple-haired woman among the five stood up, approached her, bent down, took Yisi’s hand, and kissed it without permission.
Meanwhile, the other four girls had tears welling up in their eyes, looking as though they were long-lost relatives finally reunited.
The sensation of wetness on her fingertips made Yisi instinctively pull her hand back. She studied the purple-haired woman before her—there was a strange sense of familiarity. Upon closer inspection, she noticed that all five women had bat-like wings on their backs.
They were all vampires.
Wait… could they be connected to the Count’s eldest daughter?
Yisi immediately searched through her memories.
The purple-haired girl was named Refina, a beloved pet of the Count’s eldest daughter—yes, literally a pet. The Count’s daughter had raised no fewer than ten such pets, and the five girls before her were just a few of them.
This was bad.
If possible, Yisi wanted to turn around and leave immediately. While part of it was due to concerns about her identity being exposed, the bigger issue was her lack of confidence in her acting skills. After all, the Count’s eldest daughter had done everything imaginable with her pets. Routine abuse was a given, and even her… physical needs were taken care of by them. The biggest problem was that these pets didn’t fear the Count’s daughter like the blood slaves did. On the contrary, they had all been conditioned into near-masochistic personalities, eagerly anticipating their mistress’s cruelty and even craving her “affection.”
Under normal circumstances, this would be an enviable position, but considering the consequences of being exposed, it was far too troublesome.

“Master, how did you escape? We’ve only just infiltrated this place with your father’s help and were preparing a rescue plan. We never expected you to already know we were hiding here.”
How would I know you’re here? I just came looking for blood!
Though she wanted to retort, Yisi had to maintain the Count’s daughter’s demeanor. If she wanted to settle in the human world with the Church’s help, she needed to keep up the act for now.
“Do you really think mere humans could imprison me? That place was nothing more than somewhere I could come and go as I pleased. The only reason I found you here is because your hiding was far too sloppy.”
“D-Did the Church already discover us?” The scantily clad purple-haired girl trembled. “Did the spy we planted in the Church betray us?”
There’s a vampire spy in the Church!?
It seemed this world was far more complicated than she had imagined.
“That’s for you to deal with.”
“Now that we’ve found you, Master, shouldn’t we return to the clan immediately? The Human Alliance is too dangerous.”
Another girl, still kneeling on one knee, spoke urgently. From the Count’s daughter’s memories, this was someone slightly less favored than Refina. Among the pets, hierarchy wasn’t strictly defined by rank but by who received the most affection from their mistress. That was why only Refina had been allowed to stand and kiss Yisi’s fingertips—a quirk of the Count’s daughter’s, by the way.
Naturally, Yisi rejected the suggestion of returning to the vampire clan. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to go back, but reality simply wouldn’t allow it. Camilla had seen through her disguise in just one night—what about Count Pescia and those even closer to the Count’s daughter? Given the Count’s doting indulgence toward his eldest daughter, if he discovered someone had taken over her body, he would undoubtedly stop at nothing to eliminate her.
Making enemies was something to be avoided at all costs, so Yisi had no intention of returning to the vampire realm.
“Hmph.”

Yisi deliberately let out a cold snort—a tone she had practiced many times to avoid slipping up. True to form, Refina and the others immediately wore expressions of fear. This was how the Count’s daughter acted when angry.
“If I could make it here under the Church’s surveillance, do you think I couldn’t return to the clan the same way?”
“Master, you mean…?”
“I really should have made you all study more instead of just focusing on combat training. The reason I’m staying in the Human Alliance is to prepare for our eventual conquest of these lands. There’s no intelligence more reliable than what I witness and arrange firsthand. Every extra day I spend here means another weakness of theirs uncovered. Spies can only see so much—I, however, can oversee the entire battlefield.”
I want to die…
This was beyond embarrassing.
Yisi could feel her cheeks burning.
Just in case, she discreetly peeked at the pets—only to find their eyes sparkling with admiration, as if they were gazing at a goddess.
Well, she had underestimated their devotion.
After an awkward silence, Yisi quickly changed the subject.
“Earlier, you mentioned my father helped you infiltrate this town. Does that mean he’s planning a full-scale assault on the Niru Diocese?”
“The plan was that if we failed to rescue you with the spy’s help, the Count would mobilize forces and prepare for war.”
As she spoke, Refina and two other girls brought over a plush chair for Yisi to sit on.
“Wasn’t there supposed to be a prisoner exchange?”

“The Count believes that’s a lie by the Church. They would never let you go, Master—not when you’re the heir to the Pescia territory.”
“Tch.”
She should be grateful she stumbled into this brothel, shouldn’t she?
“Aside from you, how many others in the city are on the same mission?”
“There are two other covert units sent by the Count. He placed them under my command.”
“Good. Have them withdraw from the city.” Yisi glanced at Refina, who seemed about to protest. “Niru isn’t safe. The demons have set their sights on this place. Though I haven’t uncovered their exact plans yet, the sheer number of demons infiltrating suggests something big is coming.”
This was, of course, a complete lie.
Yisi stuck out her tongue inwardly. How would she know what the demons were planning?
“But then, your safety—”
“Refina, are you implying I’d be in danger?”
Following the Count’s daughter’s mannerisms, Yisi reached out from her chair and pinched Refina’s chin. The girl immediately blushed and lowered her head shyly.
“My heart belongs to you, Master. If anything were to happen to you, I would follow you to the next world.”
“Heh… As if I’d ever be in danger. Did you hear about the explosion in Niru Forest before coming here?” Pausing to observe their curious expressions, Yisi deliberately curled her lips. Though Refina’s behavior was a bit suffocating, there was no better way to handle this. “That was my doing. I’ve mastered magic capable of annihilating entire cities.”

“So it wasn’t divine punishment like the Church claimed! Congratulations, Master!”
Not just Refina, but all the pets’ eyes shone with joy. Yisi felt a little guilty but kept her composure.
“Rather than empty words… shouldn’t you offer something more tangible, Refina?”
Mimicking the Count’s daughter’s habits, Yisi gave Refina’s butt a squeeze—purely to maintain her cover, of course. Definitely not intentional. Sweating nervously, she stood up. Whether by the pets’ design or coincidence, the room had a bed large enough to accommodate everyone.
Naturally, Yisi had no intention of doing anything inappropriate like the Count’s daughter would have. But aside from abuse and… other activities, there was one thing that would satisfy her needs while also pleasing the pets.
—Drinking their blood.
Pureblood vampire saliva contained potent hallucinogenic properties. When the bloodsucker’s lineage far surpassed the victim’s, the act of feeding could induce near-euphoric sensations—an addictive, intoxicating poison. This, along with their absolute loyalty and twisted love, was why the pets couldn’t leave the Count’s daughter.
Thus, being fed upon by her was one of their greatest pleasures.
Though Yisi preferred sipping from a goblet, to avoid suspicion, she had no choice but to bite directly into their skin.
Besides, according to the Count’s daughter’s memories, each pet’s blood had a unique and exquisite flavor.
Unconsciously, Yisi licked her lips.
Noticing this, the pets’ breathing grew rapid with anticipation. With Yisi’s silent permission, they shyly took their places on the bed.
It seemed this would be a long night.
