Volume 7, Chapter 26 – Joining the Party! Laxy!
Even after Yisi had explained with a simple and clear excuse, Dominic was still unable to let it go. After a long hesitation, he reluctantly agreed.
“…Alright, since you’ve put it that way, Cardinal Yisi, I can’t keep being wishy-washy. I will go and draft the letter now. Please also put writing the letter on your agenda as soon as possible. My father’s envoy will arrive within a week, and I can only buy a month at most. Within this month, please, Your Eminence, have the Ymir territory send the weapon.”
A month?
At first, she was wondering how to make an excuse to delay for a day so she could secretly forge a magic weapon at night. But Dominic seemed to think that her magic weapon was coming from the Church, so he had given her time to send and receive letters.
On second thought, it was only natural. If it wasn’t for personal use, no one would carry a high-value, unusable weapon with them at all times. Not only would it be inconvenient to carry, but losing it would be a huge loss.
Since the other party had provided a solution, Yisi naturally wouldn’t make things difficult for herself. She rose from the sofa and straightened her clothes.
“Yes, I will deliver the magic weapon to you as soon as possible, Dominic. I will be staying in Gota during this time. If there is nothing else, I will go down to meet my companions first.”
“Thank you, Cardinal Yisi. Wait!”
“Is there something else?”
Yisi, who had already left the sofa, turned her head. Dominic quickly caught up.

“You forgot to take the angel,” he beckoned to Laxyphinia, signaling for her to follow Yisi. Dominic’s expression was full of apology as he faced her. “I’m sorry. I don’t want to treat you as an object either. This is also to prevent you from falling into my father’s hands.”
“I understand your intentions. I will remember your help today. Thank you.” Laxyphinia nodded slightly to Dominic in thanks, then turned to Yisi. She made a fist with her right hand and placed it over her heart, bowing low in a flawless motion. “I will be in your care from now on, Lady Yisi Enya.”
Dominic must have told the angel her name beforehand. Yisi helped the bowing angel up. It seemed that an angel’s ownership was determined solely by their own consciousness, without the troublesome process of transferring a slave contract.
“Instead of a superior-subordinate relationship, I’d rather you think of me as a friend from now on, Laxyphinia. Hmm… how about we start by changing how we address each other? From now on, I’ll call you Laxy, and you can just call me Yisi.”
“You may call me by any name you like, my lord, but an angel should not address their master by their name directly. As a Third-Rank Angel, I must abide by the rules set since my birth.”
“Well, it is a bit abrupt to ask you to change your form of address right after we’ve met. We can talk about this later,” Yisi’s gaze fell on Dominic. “I haven’t given you the magic weapon yet, Dominic. Is it alright for the angel to follow me now?”
Dominic showed a wry smile.
“Cardinal Yisi is willing to exchange a top-tier Crimson Gold-grade weapon with me. If I don’t show some sincerity, my conscience will condemn me.”
The guild master, who had also stood up, patted Dominic on the shoulder. The force from his burly frame made even the level 28 Dominic sway slightly.
“Just accept her, Cardinal Yisi. This boy was so anxious about inheriting the family business that he didn’t sleep a wink. Your appearance was like that of a savior. Besides, you have a mission from the Pope. If you can use the angel’s help sooner, you might be able to complete your mission sooner. An angel is a tremendous asset.”

“Then I won’t be polite.”
Smiling at Dominic and the guild master, Yisi led Laxy down the stairs.
During the time Yisi had been in discussion, Camilla’s group had already completed their adventurer registration. Only Yisi was left to state her level. In addition, the adventurers who had previously occupied the first-floor hall had now returned to their conversations, and no one was paying attention to Yisi’s group.
The same female staff member from before held up a writing board and asked Yisi.
“May I have your name and level?”
“Yisi Enya, level—20.”
She casually gave a number and watched as the staff member recorded the information. There was no appraisal stone or anything of the sort here, so asking for her level and name was just a formality. All adventurers had to start from Wood-rank and work their way up. Even if she lied about her level, it wouldn’t raise her starting point.
Beside her, Edith nudged Yisi’s waist with her elbow and gestured towards Laxy with her chin.
“Handled it?”
“Got her from Dominic,” Yisi turned to her companions behind her and introduced Laxyphinia. “From today on, Laxyphinia will be our companion. You can all call her Laxy. Until we leave Gota, Laxy will be with us.”

After that, Yisi introduced her companions to Laxy one by one. Laxy was not very talkative, simply nodding in greeting to each of them in turn.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“Um… does this angel lady need to register as well?”
The female staff’s gaze flickered between Laxy and Yisi. Considering that registering Laxy wouldn’t slow down the team’s leveling and could also foster friendship among her companions, Yisi agreed to let her join the team. Laxy, under the staff’s guidance, stated her level in a very serious tone.
“Laxyphinia Trino, level 41.”
“Level 41?! As-as expected of an angel… Then, I will register your team under the name [Margaret], as decided by the young lady earlier.”
“It would be more fitting to call it [Loiswell and her Fiancées].”
Hey, hey, have you already decided to make a move on Camilla?!
Yisi couldn’t help but lean closer to Camilla, who explained in a low voice.
“At first, I wanted to use your name as the team name, Onee-sama, but I felt you would change it for being too embarrassing. So I took the liberty of using the name of your tavern in Celtic City… is that alright?”

You’ve saved me.
If her own name had been used as the team name, she would have been too ashamed to lift her head.
Yisi patted Camilla’s golden hair with immense gratitude.
“Of course it is. You did great, Camilla.”
Instead of answering Yisi, Camilla lowered her head in shyness, clasping her hands in front of her, her whole body radiating a joyful atmosphere.
Yisi couldn’t help but smile. She led her companions away from the counter.
“Now then, let’s pick some quests and then head to the labyrinth. We’ll have a welcome party for Laxy tonight.”
“Yes~”
However, what Yisi didn’t notice was that Laxy, following at the very end of the group, was frowning and muttering to herself.
“To think my lord is only level 20… what a shameful level. Is this why fate has brought me, a Third-Rank Angel specializing in guidance, to meet my lord… Since I have no choice, I can only strive to make my lord grow quickly. The threat of the demons has not yet vanished. If my lord were that pureblood… no, a rejected hypothesis is meaningless. A God-Forged Angel must obey orders, and I, who specialize in guidance, must do so even more. For now, I will enter the labyrinth with my lord, observe her strength, and then point out her shortcomings.”
