The Epoch Immortal returned to the North Star, only to find the commotion caused by the Everlasting Immortal Fairy and the dragon and phoenix prodigies growing increasingly alarming, making his heart race.

“Epoch, you’re back? How are Qilin and Heaven Mandate?”

The Epoch Immortal said solemnly, “It was the Heaven Mandate Immortal, that lousy chess player, who was cheating. I taught him a lesson. After that, they continued playing chess. When I left, both he and Qilin entered a state of enlightenment, as if they had discerned the five elements, bagua, heaven and earth, and yin and yang within the Five in a Row game!

“Since the Nine-Layers Immortal is the creator of Five in a Row, he is guarding them, so I came back first.”

“Eh, those two had such a fortuitous opportunity? Perfect timing, I’ll whip up something nourishing for them!”
