January 8th. Clear skies.
It’s been ten days since I rescued the young girl from the basement.
It turns out that this villa has an owner.
The young girl is a bona fide heiress. According to her, her father ran a publicly traded company and was one of the city’s most prominent taxpayers. He was always imagining that the apocalypse was just around the corner, so he had built a shelter beneath the villa. Even if a global nuclear war were to break out, the supplies stored inside would be enough to sustain their family of three for fifty years.
When the zombie crisis struck, the little girl’s father was attacked by zombies. Before transforming into a zombie, he relied on the remnants of his willpower to shove the young girl into the underground bunker and charged into the horde of zombies himself.
Just like that, the young girl has lived here for over half a year, constantly shuddering in fear.
When she first saw me, she assumed I was one of those intelligent zombies. It took me considerable effort to convince her that I’m a zombie hunter from the outside world who has come here to deal with the zombies in this city.
As a local born and bred in this city, she’s been a tremendous help in my exploration.
After gathering intelligence from various sources, I’ve ascertained that this city's Zombie King has three generals, either underground wrestling champions or retired veterans, all possessing remarkable agility. All three have developed intelligence and retain the combat prowess they had in life. On top of that, they remain fully armed at all times, making them exceedingly difficult to defeat.
Fortunately, I can control all zombies, including these three generals.
By controlling the three generals, I’ve indirectly gained access to the Zombie King’s movements and itinerary.
Just now, the young girl and I caught a glimpse of the Zombie King strutting through the city.
Trembling all over, she told me, “That’s my father.”
It looks like the situation is far more complicated than I’d imagined. I’ll be taking a day off to sort out my thoughts.
