Author's Leave Request

February 9th. Blizzard.

It’s New Year’s Eve tonight. The Zombie Planet’s Planetary Will decided to embrace local customs and proposed spreading the zombie virus as a New Year’s hongbao gift, but I stopped it.

This city is now entirely under my control. No zombie is authorized to leave without permission. I believe the nearest human outpost should be able to enjoy a peaceful New Year’s holiday.

Half a month has passed since I subdued the Strength Zombie King. I learned from him that the Eight Great Zombie Kings would hold a Zombie King Tournament a month from now—a competition to determine the true Zombie King.

The abilities of the other seven Zombie Kings remain unknown to me for now. That Zombie Planet’s Planetary Will bastard refuses to tell me anything, and I still can’t figure out what it's truly after.

The little girl has been pulled back from the brink of death. That was really lucky. She’s still recovering from the ordeal and is in no condition to travel. I need to head to the next city and subdue the second Zombie King, but I can’t take her with me.

The more Zombie Kings I have under my control, the greater my chances of victory in the Zombie King Tournament.

Time is limited. The next city is seven hundred li away. With the terrible state of the roads after the zombie crisis, even driving will take at least a week.

Fortunately, I thought of a good idea—since the Strength Zombie King possesses boundless strength, he could just toss me to the next city.

A direct throw is out of the question. Being exposed to the air at such high speeds would tear my body apart.

I can climb into an emergency escape pod and have the Strength Zombie King launch me over. Just before I reach the destination, I’ll pop out of the escape pod and descend with a parachute.

However, the distance is too great. It was also the Strength Zombie King’s first time doing something like this. He had no feel for it yet, so he needed to practice by hurling boulders a few times first.

After several attempts, the Strength Zombie King was confident he had gotten the hang of extreme-long-distance throwing and hurled me into the distance.

Everything went exactly as planned. I landed successfully at the next city.

After I touched down, I realized that this city didn’t seem to be under a Zombie King’s control.

What’s going on?

After some investigation, I finally learned the story from the Zombie King’s personal guards—a massive boulder had fallen from the sky and crushed the city’s Zombie King to death.

My mind has been a complete mess since hearing their accounts.

Taking two days off.
