February 26th. Overcast.
After some investigation, I learned that the Zombie King accidentally crushed to death by the Strength Zombie King’s boulder had possessed the ability to control water. I shall call her the “Water Zombie King.”
The Water Zombie King’s ability was extremely tricky to deal with. She could drain water from anything, including the air and the human body. Perhaps only a mummy could have fought her at close range.
Thankfully, luck was not on her side. She was smashed to death by the Strength Zombie King before I could get to her, saving me considerable trouble.
The Strength Zombie King had already reconvened with me. I ordered him to toss me toward the vicinity of the third city under a Zombie King’s control. That way, I wouldn’t draw that Zombie King’s attention when I landed.
After I successfully touched down, the Strength Zombie King obeyed my orders. He is now racing over here at full speed.
Near my landing site, I encountered a little girl. She looked about twelve or thirteen and was clad in rags. She was fleeing for her life with several zombies in hot pursuit.
I activated my power to control those zombies and saved her.
Initially, I planned to escort her to the nearest safe zone. But she told me that her parents had been robbed by adventurers from the safe zone as they had too many supplies. Those adventurers then drove her entire family of three out of the safe zone. Her parents had already turned into zombies. If I hadn’t intervened, she would have suffered the same fate.
Sending her back to that safe zone would be a death sentence.
My next step is to infiltrate the third Zombie King’s city, and it’ll be exceedingly dangerous. I have no wish to get the little girl involved in such peril. But if I leave her to fend for herself, where could she go?
I have no choice but to bring the girl with me into the third Zombie King’s city.
The little girl and I are now searching for a place to hide in the city.
Taking a day off.
