Chapter 104

Chapter 104 Obtaining Advanced Meditation Methods

Ten days later.

In the first ring wizard area of Lilith Hut, in the office of senior advisor Francis, Locke walked in.

The organizational structure of the academy seems to be relatively flat, but there are seven senior consultants in Lilith Hut. These seven senior consultants are responsible for different formal wizards and their students, as well as various departments and public facilities in Lilith Hut.

The dean and deputy dean of Lilith Lodge are responsible for these seven senior advisors.

In a sense, Senior Advisor Francis is one of the top executives of Lilith Lodge.

Authorization for advanced meditation methods must be signed and agreed upon by all senior advisors of Lilith Lodge and confirmed by at least one dean.

Senior Advisor Francis looked up at Locke. In Locke’s eyes, he was an old man with a white beard and a white wizard robe, wearing a black wizard hat and a kind smile. However, his eyes were a little sharp, and for a moment he seemed to be looking at him, but before Locke could confirm, the sharp eyes turned into a warm smile.

Locke remained alert, then saluted Francis and said, “Hello, Dean Francis.”

“I’m Locke Augustine.”

“Teacher Sophia asked me to come here to learn the advanced meditation method.”

Senior Advisor Francis turned over his right palm and pointed to the seat, “Sit.”

After Locke sat down, he smiled and said, “This is the first time we meet. Locke, are you happy living in our Lilith Cottage?”

Locke was stunned for a moment. He didn’t expect that this senior academy member would suddenly ask him this question. He remained cautious and said, “Well, Lilith’s cabin contains a vast amount of magical information, which has enabled me to make rapid progress.”

Francis narrowed his eyes. “Don’t be so cautious. You are an outstanding student of our academy, just like your teacher, Witch Sophia, is also an outstanding student from our academy.”

“So, it really makes me happy to talk to you.”

“Time is truly beautiful. The wonders of time are worth careful exploration by each of us. When I first joined Lilith’s Lodge, I was just an ordinary wizard apprentice like you and Witch Sophia. Then I gradually became a wizard mentor here, and later became a supervisor and senior consultant.”

Francis’s eyes curved slightly. “Sitting in this office, I watch you new students gradually grow and develop, like magical plants, batch after batch becoming mature. It’s a truly blissful feeling.”

Francis placed a crystal ball in front of Locke. “Augustine, you can treat the academy as your home. The academy will always be one of your escape routes.”

“Alright. This is an advanced meditation method. Its dissemination is restricted by the White Wizards Association’s non-proliferation agreement. Therefore, it cannot be recorded in a magic book. It can only be transmitted into your mind through a special enchanted first-level spell, [Bloodline Inheritance], bypassing the form of language.”

Locke understood that as long as it went beyond the form of language, it would be difficult for him to translate it into words. The operation of this meditation method and the related knowledge would become something like instinct.

It was worthy of the advanced meditation method that he obtained by spending a loan of 50,000 magic stones. He directly used a spell of the first-level enchantment school to learn it.

Senior Advisor Francis said, “By the way, you also have to sign a non-proliferation agreement. Although I trust you very much and don’t want to make it so formal, this is the rule of the White Wizards Association.”

Locke glanced at the agreement and his eyelids twitched slightly. The content of the agreement was extremely harsh and complicated. All the treaties were only for targeting first-class wizard apprentices and spreading advanced meditation methods to the outside world at will.

Once you commit this crime, it seems that you will be wanted by the entire White Wizard Association.

It’s equivalent to social death.

Senior Advisor Francis smiled and said, “It doesn’t really matter. The first-level enchantment spell [Bloodline Inheritance] has many ways to prevent wizards from spreading advanced meditation techniques.”

“In theory, even if you want to actively spread it, you can’t do it.”

Senior Advisor Francis said considerately, “Well, let me give you an example. Even if you spend a considerable amount of time translating your knowledge of advanced meditation techniques into corresponding text, as soon as you attempt to speak or write it down, the correspondence between this knowledge and the text and language will automatically be canceled.”

Locke followed Francis’s attitude and deliberately acted surprised in front of him, saying, “Master Supervisor, this is amazing.”

Francis smiled with satisfaction. “I just like young people like you.”

“Of course it’s magical. It’s first-level magic, after all. Spells from the Enchanter School can often alter the will of the caster, or their senses.”

Locke looked puzzled. “If that’s the case, then some spells from the Enchanting School and the Illusion School seem to overlap, Master Supervisor.”

Francis patiently explained, “That’s true, but the mechanisms and principles behind the two are different. The Illusion School’s spells interfere with the mind, soul, and mental power on three levels. The Enchantment School uses enchantment and other methods to alter the target’s state.”

“Therefore, if we encounter these two types of wizard enemies, we should deal with them differently,” Francis said gently. “Having said that, the enchantment science at Lilith’s Hut is also quite good, but the magic of the School of Illusion is a bit weaker. There’s only one wizard instructor in that magic category, and the wizard apprentices’ qualifications are mostly around level two.”

“The admission requirements are relatively low.”

Locke said, “So that’s how it is. Master Supervisor.”

Locke signed the agreement, then pressed his palm on the crystal ball. In an instant, a large amount of knowledge was transmitted into his mind. It was the knowledge from advanced meditation methods.

After 5 seconds, the originally lavender crystal ball turned blank.

Locke saluted Senior Advisor Francis. “I have acquired the advanced meditation technique. Your Excellency, I will be leaving now.”

For some reason, although Francis in front of him was very easy to talk to, and was almost the most polite official wizard to him except for Witch Sophia, Locke felt very uncomfortable and awkward being with him.

It was as if he was being stared at by some ferocious beast.

Locke looked up and met Consultant Francis’ smiling eyes. Consultant Francis nodded, then turned and left the office.

But the moment Locke closed the office door, the smile on Francis’ face disappeared. He picked up Locke’s information in the drawer and began to read it.

Francis’s expression was not very good. “This is a serious mistake at work. I never thought such a mistake would happen to me.”

“Judging from his rate of improvement, Locke Augustine’s true talent should be only slightly inferior to that of the Son of Elements. I just don’t know if his subsequent growth will remain so rapid. Some special talents can only allow a person to grow rapidly during a certain period of time.”

Francis’s face darkened. “Assigning a student of this caliber to a formal wizard who doesn’t have a contract with the academy is a serious mistake.”

“This will affect the students’ emotional connection with Lilith House Academy itself.” Francis thought: “Students must establish a certain emotional connection with Lilith House, so that they will be loyal to the academy.”

“He’s already a first-class wizard apprentice. It’s a bit troublesome to rebuild it now.” Francis thought, “But it’s not impossible. He needs to increase his emotional exchanges with the other first-class wizard apprentices in the academy.”

“What’s good is that he seems to have a certain relationship with Wizard Ullien Rich. This time, Wizard Ullien Rich actually spoke up for him, which is rare. Doesn’t that guy only care about his grandson?”

Francis muttered, “The reason he joined Lilith’s Hut in the first place was because I told him that Lilith’s Hut was one of the best potion-focused wizarding organizations in the southeastern region, and the most suitable place for his grandson to recuperate.”
