Chapter 1103

Chapter 1084 Three Blank Invitations from the Era of Laws

Locke scanned Rose the Witch. After a brief examination, he found nothing wrong. Whether from the perspective of spiritual energy, spiritual grandeur, or spirituality, Rose the Witch appeared perfectly normal; she was indeed herself.

Rose the Witch stood with her arms crossed at the entrance of the wizarding town and said, “What’s wrong? Is your competition not welcoming me?”

“I came here specifically to support you.”

Rose the Witch smiled.

Locke glanced at Rose the Witch and frowned.

“Did you come here to support me? I have a feeling it’s because I used my ultimate magic to generate stellar gravity, locking your karma in place, so you had to come?”

Witch Rose said. “You’re not a wizard of the Prophecy School, so the stellar gravity generated by your ultimate magic doesn’t have that kind of power. All wizards can indeed generate stellar gravity with their ultimate magic, but those who aren’t wizards of the Prophecy School can’t properly utilize this special talent created by ultimate magic.”

Witch Rose licked her lips. “Or are you telling me to leave?”

Witch Rose had a strange smile on her face.

At this moment, Witch Bailou arrived, riding on the Snow King’s shoulder.

As a witch of the Maupassant family, Witch Bailou looked at Witch Rose, and for a moment, she felt a chill from the depths of her soul.

The contract magic on Witch Bailou’s left arm reacted; a small magic circle appeared on her arm, in the form of a tattoo.

Originally hidden beneath her fair skin, it activated automatically, causing the scale pattern on the inside of the witch Bailouluo’s left forearm to slowly tilt.

Sweat beaded on Bailouluo’s forehead.

“Locke, what’s wrong with this witch? Why is our family’s secret divine summoning contract magic reacting to her? Who is she?”

“And she’s so evil—”

“I’ve never seen such an evil being. She’s like a demon crawling out of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.”

At this moment, the Snow King, who was sitting beside her, also looked terrified. He watched as the approaching Rose witch grew increasingly distant, constantly retreating. Sweat poured down the Snow King’s forehead, almost melting slightly.

The witch Bailouluo looked at Locke and warned him, “Locke, this witch possesses an unusually evil divine power. My Divine Summoning Contract is a special summoning magic specifically used to form contracts with spirits. The contract I made with the Snow King is a Divine Summoning Contract. It can capture spirits possessing divine power.” “

Of course, it will also react to all beings possessing divine power.”

“This person possesses very powerful divine power,”

the witch Bailouluo said. “Furthermore, the Divine Summoning Contract has a certain ability to distinguish between good and evil. I can only say that I have never seen such an evil person.” “

It’s best not to let her enter this wizard town. Otherwise, I really don’t know what kind of destruction she’ll cause.”

The witch Rose looked at Locke.

“I was quite surprised when I heard you were going to organize this competition. Since it’s a competition, it definitely needs participants. I think you’re taking this competition so seriously to build your reputation and qualifications. Generally speaking, only Sun Ring Wizards can organize competitions of this level.” “

But you’re only a Star Ring Wizard right now.”

“So, wouldn’t it be good for you if I came to support you? If you can make this competition a success, then the outcome of the competition along the Tianjiang River should be irrelevant to you.”

Locke pondered for a moment, and under the doubtful gaze of the Witch Bailouluo, he pointed to the Great Magic Tree of Prosperity.

“Complete the test I set under that tree to enter the competition. No matter who you are, as long as you can solve my test, you will qualify to participate.”

Witch Rose looked up at the Great Magic Tree of Prosperity in the distance.

She gazed into the distance, a thoughtful expression on her face.

“I see.”

“I can accept your condition.”

The Witch Rose glanced at Locke, leaving him with a look that was both provocative and not quite, before walking towards the Tree of Prosperity.

Locke’s lips curled into a smile.

The Witch Bailouluo said to Locke, “That witch has been challenging you, Locke. She’s a troublemaker. Aren’t you afraid she’ll cause trouble by participating in your competition?”

“Locke?”

Locke nodded, then looked at the Witch Rose thoughtfully, “This ‘Witch Rose’ seems to have complete memories related to me. Everything about her is no different from the original Witch Rose. At first, I thought she was a twin, or someone used a transformation potion, or she was simply a witch from the Transfiguration school. But after multiple tests, I’ve confirmed that she is very likely the real one.”

However, her personality has also undergone a significant change. “

Moreover, if it were the original Rose the Witch, given her personality, she wouldn’t bother participating in my competition. This competition wouldn’t offer her any significant benefit. Besides, she and I have been business rivals for years. Even now, she’s wondering if I’m organizing this competition specifically to run it, or if I want to do business related to it.

So why would she be willing to help me?”

The only explanation is that Rose has indeed encountered a problem. Combined with the signs of divine power she possesses—

a bizarre guess popped into Locke’s mind.

Could this witch have been possessed by some god? “

Gods possessing witches is somewhat rare, but technically, Locke thinks it’s feasible.

However, Rose the Witch has connections with too many high-ring witches.”

Locke quickly dismissed this guess. Rose the Witch has many high-ring witches’ shop alliances; even for the sake of these shops, those high-ring witches wouldn’t allow her to be possessed.

Besides, her spirituality hasn’t changed at all, nor has her aura; it doesn’t seem like possession.

Locke said to the witch, “Since it’s a competition, it should be open to all. As long as she can pass the test in my ultimate magic, she’ll be a contestant.”

“She’s right about one thing. I’m not just carrying out the investigation mission at Mount Golden Crown; I’m really running this competition,”

Locke said. “So the more contestants there are, the better for me.”

“Generally speaking, a newly established competition needs to work hard to attract a large number of high-quality contestants and gain credibility.”

“Some people even pay all the contestants to participate,”

Locke said. “Witch Rose isn’t nobody, and I’m going to start my own competition, so letting her participate isn’t just fine, it’s actually a good thing. As for her causing trouble…” “

Which contestant here is easy to deal with?”

At this moment, Witch Rose, walking towards the Tree of Prosperity, smirked.

That fool Rose actually had this hidden trick up her sleeve. She had channeled her spiritual energy into 17 wizards, but the only one who responded was this youngster named Locke Augustine.

“I must make Locke Augustine relinquish that cause and effect.”

Otherwise, Rose will still have a breath left.

This competition is the best opportunity for me to make my move. But to get in, I have to solve this puzzle.

Under the Tree of Prosperity, the witch Rose walked over, seemingly oblivious to everyone else, holding a magic umbrella. While casually looking up at the Tree of Prosperity, she pondered how to solve Locke’s puzzle.

“I’m not good at breeding magic. So I’ll have to negotiate with Rose first. She should feel that being able to participate is her hope for survival.” “

So she should agree.” “

Although—her parents, brothers, even her teachers and friends, and even some students are on my side, not hers. Hehehe—”

“Who told her she’s just a mortal.”

Just as the witch Rose was secretly pleased, she suddenly felt a chill run down her spine. She turned her head and saw a witch looking at her.

The witch was indeed the Macedonian witch. Her eyes shone with magical light as she stared at her, and it seemed she had been watching for a long time.

Rose the witch paused for a moment, then tried to warn her with a glare.

However, Rose quickly realized it was useless. She had never seen anyone so oblivious to her presence. The Macedonian witch remained completely unmoved by her glare and warning, her gaze unwavering, as

if she could see right through her.

Rose said, “Miss witch, is there something you need?”

The Macedonian witch suddenly smiled and then shook her head.

“It’s nothing. I originally thought you had possessed this poor witch’s body, but it seems you’ve returned it to its rightful owner. In that case, I won’t interfere any further.”

The Macedonian witch extended her hands from behind, revealing a sharp sword. The sword, formed from cabbage stalks, was wreathed in magical light. It was the Star Ring spell model, the White Emperor’s Sword, specially designed for her by the Bird Official Wizard to be used with the Heavenly Cabbage.

Once she became a Moon Ring Wizard, this Star Ring spell model would naturally have subsequent advanced spell models, which could be upgraded all the way to the Sun Ring spell model.

The Macedonian witch chanted a spell, and instantly, the cabbage stalks automatically combined in mid-air in front of her to form a Heavenly Cabbage.

The Macedonian witch turned and took a few steps. Then, as if remembering something, she warned the Rose witch, “Do not do to others what you would not have them do to you.”

“Everyone understands that principle. If you dare to do anything evil in this competition, harming other wizards, I will immediately take your head. Although this competition belongs to Locke Augustine, I am participating now, so it is naturally my competition as well. I will protect it. You don’t need to get in my way or spoil my fun, do you understand?”

The Macedonian witch turned and left.

The Rose witch watched the Macedonian witch’s departing figure, gritting her teeth.

“Who is this person?”

“What does my business have to do with her?”

“Are all wizards in the wizarding world so arrogant and meddlesome now? Tch, if you won’t let me ruin the competition, I’ll just cause trouble.”

When Edgar and Ramses reached the tree, they looked at the Rose witch with surprise, and Edgar took the initiative to greet her.

“Rose, you’re here too. We’re just solving the problem Locke gave us. They’re the competition organizers, after all; they’re giving us the problems now.” “

This is different from how we’ve been treated. Come on, Rose, let’s work together; it’ll definitely be faster.”

Rose

, the witch, sneered as Edgar pulled her over. She gave him a cold look, thinking: Another reckless fool.

Idiot. “

I’ll team up with him for now. Maybe I can use this wizard named Edgar.” Rose remembered him; she thought of him as arrogant and conceited, probably someone with little ability. Following someone like him would make me much safer. “

Wizard Edgar said to Witch Rose, “We’ve discussed several times in private how to deal with Locke Augustine together. Last time you said you wanted to team up with me. I think we should forget about that. The competition is about fairness; if you win by teaming up, it defeats the purpose of the competition. However, I do have a few ideas that might help us beat Locke in this competition. Let’s discuss them and do a few preliminary experiments, what do you think?”

Rose the Witch maintained her smile. “Alright.”

Good, using this kid might allow us to directly enter the competition. This Edgar seems like an easy person to control; I like that kind of person.”

Meanwhile, Locke and the Baroque Witch looked at the Tree of Prosperity in the wizarding town, Locke’s lips curling into a smile.

“I’m not afraid of troublemakers in my competition. I’m afraid of those who don’t cause trouble, or those who don’t cause enough trouble. After all, every wizard who has participated in the competition is a formidable character who can make the competition a real spectacle and become the protagonist themselves.” “

There’s no problem with letting Rose the Witch participate in the competition. Besides, I’m personally very curious about Rose the Witch’s current state.

By the way, Bailouluo the Witch, you said she has divine power?”

Bailouluo the Witch nodded and said, “Because I’m a wizard of the Summoning School, my general knowledge and biological taxonomy are very good, and my perception of different energy systems is far superior to that of ordinary wizards. I can sense an aura similar to that of the Persepolis gods on her. At first, I thought she was a puppet manipulated by the gods, but later I realized that she was just tainted with too much of the Persepolis gods’ aura.”

“I’m sure this evil person is definitely not a normal witch.”

Locke nodded. He thought of the characteristics of the Tacitus family of wizards, which was that they liked to “borrow” from others. Not only that, they also liked to use legal means to suppress the original owners who had no background.

The Wizard’s Tea system of Lu Xu Bridge was thus “borrowed” by the Tacitus family and adopted by the Rose Council.

Furthermore, his teacher had previously told him that the Tacitus family, in order to obtain a mysterious biological textile material from the Wizarding Lands of Fairy Blue Wilderness, sent their direct descendant, the Rose Witch, to study there. The purpose was to acquire the silk spun by a local spider during their studies.

Or rather, to obtain the special spider magical creature bred by the wizards of the Wizarding Lands, they actually sent their most talented direct descendants to the distant Wizarding Lands.

This shows how diligent and serious the Tacitus family was in “borrowing.”

A thought flashed through Locke’s mind: Could it be that the most outstanding descendant of the Tacitus family in this generation also “borrowed” something? “Anyway

, ‘borrowing’ has almost become part of the Tacitus family culture.”

Locke manipulated his stellar gravity, looking at the cause and effect between himself and the Rose Witch.

“Forcibly binding a causal link with another Star Ring-level being using the gravitational pull of a powerful spell—if that being is also a wizard, it’s almost impossible. Wizards have far too many ways to break such causal bonds; this crude, primitive prophetic magic, forcibly created with powerful spells, is impossible. But the other party didn’t do that. It seems I can confirm that the current Rose Witch is indeed not the original her.”

“Whoever she is, whatever she’s going to do—let’s wait and see for now.”

The Baroque Witch hesitated, watching Locke walk into the wizarding town.

Meanwhile, at the Tree of Prosperity, under the powerful spell, the Macedonian Witch had already solved Locke’s test. She lightly tapped her left finger, adjusting the blueprint of the problem in the air.

Soon, as the golden phantom turned into a point of light and disappeared, it meant the Macedonian Witch had completed Locke’s test.

On the other side, Edgar and Ramses looked towards the Macedonian Witch.

Wizard Edgar seemed somewhat surprised. “So fast?”

said the wizard Ramses. “Edgar, it’s all your fault. If you hadn’t insisted on discussing things in those shops in the wizarding town, we wouldn’t be so far behind.”

At this moment, a Sun Ring wizard wearing the academy badge from the Starfield Sea approached, carrying a magic box. He looked at the Macedonian witch and said, “Macedonian witch, congratulations! You’ve earned the right to participate in the finals of the Probus Truth Unveiling Competition. This is our invitation.” The Macedonian witch’s

eyes also showed a hint of surprise.

Although she knew that due to the special competition rules, the competition Locke was organizing was a legitimate competition recognized by the White Wizard Associations of various regions, she was still stunned to see a Sun Ring wizard personally delivering the invitation.

So, if this competition is well-organized, wouldn’t it be possible for it to continue year after year?

The Sun Ring Wizard, holding the magic box, smiled at the Macedonian witch and said, “Macedonian contestant, you can choose to participate in the competition, or refuse the invitation and refuse to participate.”

“By the way, I have high hopes for you. Many of my friends who are watching the competition like you very much. There are very few people in this world willing to stand up for those around them when they are treated unfairly or in danger.

Of course, I also like the organizer of this competition, Mr. Locke Augustine.”

The Macedonian witch respectfully accepted the invitation from the magic box with both hands and then bowed to the Sun Ring Wizard.

“Thank you for your support, Lord Sun Ring Wizard.”

“Are there many spectators for this competition?”

the Sun Ring Wizard chuckled. “Many are watching from across the Starfield Sea. Right now, thousands upon thousands of wizards are watching you. However, Locke Augustine and his team are certainly unable to handle matters related to business receptions and such. Therefore, this part is entirely handled by our Eastern Region Competition Committee.” “

They only need to maintain the competition.”

“Among the competitions currently being held in the Eastern Region, the Probus Truth Unveiling Competition is definitely a dark horse.”

The Macedonian witch’s pupils constricted slightly.

This meant that the pressure and responsibility on her shoulders had increased even more, because this competition, to some extent, truly was an academic debate.

Even though Golden Crown Mountain initially didn’t intend for it to be this way.

The Sun Ring Wizard turned and left, his figure disappearing into the dazzling sunlight.

The Macedonian witch, having earned her right to participate, was about to leave the wizarding town to find Patrick and persuade him to join the competition. However, just as she was about to leave the town gate, she saw five wizards in white robes standing brazenly at the entrance to the town of the Terrifying Fangs.

The Macedonian witch looked at the five wizards. “Wizards of Mount Golden Crown?”

The five wizards in white robes laughed disdainfully.

“You jest. When Mount Golden Crown fell from grace, we had already ruled the wizarding world.”

A look of surprise flashed across the Macedonian witch’s face.

One of the wizards, wearing a white robe and a hood, handed her a blank invitation.

The Macedonian witch hesitated for a moment, then accepted the invitation.

“What is this?”

the wizard in white robes said. “This is a special invitation. We only issue them to the most promising wizarding geniuses in the world.” “

And they must also meet our special conditions.”

“You voluntarily gave up the opportunity to stay at the research institute for the sake of the young people of Rainswamp, choosing to leave and risk falling behind your peers in the competition, yet still choosing to come here and participate in the competition with Locke Augustine. Your actions have caught our attention. Therefore, we are sending you this blank invitation. When the conditions are right, this invitation will guide you to become a certain kind of person.”

The five wizards turned to leave when the Macedonian witch suddenly grabbed the shoulder of the leader.

“Wait. State your identities before you go. Since you’re probably inviting me to some club, I’m naturally honored. Why hide?”

At this moment, she grabbed the wizard’s robe by the shoulder, but the next moment, she found her hand empty, and an empty white wizard’s robe fell to the ground, then turned into a cloud of mist and dissipated.

A voice appeared in her ear. “

The Age of Laws, the World of the Universal.”

The Macedonian witch narrowed her eyes.

“The departed heavens—”

She glanced at the blank invitation in her hand, realizing she couldn’t even insert it into her astral ring.

She quickly left, heading to the wizard town built by the Swamp People’s Club, where she found Patrick in the central building.

She gestured for a ring wizard to leave the room, then entered and saw an invitation to the Probus Truth Unveiling Competition on the table in front of Patrick, besides a pile of wizarding wine bottles.

The Macedonian witch smiled.

“I almost forgot, you’re the one who passed through the second layer of the Bitterwood’s memory space on your own merits.   You don’t need to solve Locke Augustine’s riddle to qualify for the final round of the Probus Truth Unveiling Competition.”

”   It seems you overcame your inner obstacles and accepted the invitation.”   Wizard Patrick squatted in the corner, his eyes dim and his expression melancholy.   ”After the competition, I’m going to the new route. No matter the outcome, I’m going. Locke Augustine called me a cowardly rat. I—”   A hint of fear and dread flashed in his eyes.   ”Only someone like you can defeat him.”   ”Win or lose, I’m going to the new route—the most dangerous place. I want to prove I’m not a coward.”   The Macedonian witch sighed.   ”Patrick, you’re too concerned about what others think of you. But you could also consider Locke’s opinion of you. After all, while I dislike Locke Augustine, I have to admit he’s a relatively responsible person, relatively speaking.” ”   Patrick, stop running away. If you can beat Locke in the match, your inner demons will be easily overcome. This is a colorless second-circle potion that temporarily calms emotions. You can drink it.”   Under the Tree of Prosperity, at night, Edgar was walking alone through a corridor back to his residence in the wizarding town when he suddenly saw five wizards in white robes, their faces obscured.   The leader, also in a white robe, handed him a blank invitation.   ”Edgar David, your performance in the Blackwater World was stunning. You’ve proven your worth; you’re qualified to walk that [path]. Please accept this—”   Edgar David took the invitation directly, but when he looked up, he found himself alone.   ”To be able to leave without me noticing, that’s interesting.”   —   Outside the wizard town, five wizards dressed in white robes walked through the mountains and fields. Their speed was astonishing, as if they were using magic from the Conjuration School.   One wizard said, “We only issued two invitations this time. I’ve been keeping an eye on that wizard, Locke Augustine. To investigate the truth about Probus, he single-handedly stirred up the entire Eastern Frontier. Furthermore, he turned enemies into friends; those who were his adversaries eventually ended up working for him. Why shouldn’t he receive a blank invitation? I believe he has the qualifications to walk that path.”   Another wizard said, “Everyone in this era is funded by the White Wizarding Association; everyone is a disciple of the White Wizarding Association. Finding a suitable candidate won’t be easy.”   The leading White Wizard said, “No, it won’t work. Even if we intentionally guide him down this path, we can’t. He bears the mark of the Black Sun Tower, and also the mark of the School of Truth and Goodness. And judging from his broadcasting his magic live throughout the Eastern Frontier, revealing the fundamental principles of his magic, and allowing others to study his ultimate magic, he’s not one of us.”   ”He won’t follow our path.”   ”Then his talent, his genius, might actually become an obstacle in the future. Edgar and Macedon are different from him. Especially Edgar, if we guide him properly, he’s only one step away from embarking on this path. We should do everything we can to guide him to become one of us. ”   The leading white wizard held up the third blank invitation in his hand.   ”Actually, when I came here, I did intend to send this invitation to Locke Augustine, but when he revealed his immense magic to the entire Eastern District, I knew this invitation no longer belonged to him.”   A raging flame erupted from the blank invitation,   turning to ashes within the fire.   A week later, in the Tranquil Garden, Locke gazed at his newly designed bottle world, lost in thought.   This bottle world combined a hadron bridge and a dual-body potion, its form somewhat distorted.   According to the entry, this bottle world possessed the ability to contain two other bottle worlds simultaneously, on the same magical plant, using two bottle worlds of the same or different types—Garden Caves.   However, due to structural problems, this bottle world was extremely fragile and completely unusable.   Locke watched as the distorted dual-body bottle world in his palm vanished.   Although it was a failure, it proved the effectiveness of the dual-body potion. It’s entirely possible to combine my potion-making and breeding expertise with the hadron bridge. The hadron bridge can create not only shadow bottles but also many other potion-based special gardens. Furthermore   , this prototype of the dual bottle has given me unexpected joy. If I can use this dual bottle, combined with the other two great bottle worlds, to cultivate a single magical plant simultaneously using all three bottle worlds, I can   maximize the quality of the cultivated plant even with limited progress in my breeding skills.   A super bottle world composed of three bottle worlds might truly allow me to create a jungle. It could also allow me to publish a new section and even compete for awards.

Locke fell into deep thought. “The potential of this dual-body bottle is immense.

It’s exactly what I need right now.”

His current goals in breeding are threefold: First, to create a stable dual-body bottle.

Second, to find a way to build his own jungle, even if it’s rudimentary, but he must take this step; otherwise, how can he compete with the wizard Karl, who is born with the ability to command the top 100 of the Demon Fire Ranking?

If he can’t compete, how can the Academic Committee contend with the Senate, which holds the power of the [Ancient Planet] plane?

Third, he must quickly cultivate the final metal-attribute spiritual energy of the Four Holy Blessings and learn the Four Holy Blessings.

Locke pondered, “But we don’t have enough hadron materials. I still need to contact Antoine. I’ve been developing hadron recently and have already achieved so many useful results.”

“I need more research materials from Antoine.”

Of course, he couldn’t tell Antoine too much, because if Antoine found out and reported it to the Senate, and the Senate used their name to express at the academy meeting how much hadron could help breeding science and wrote a lot of related materials, then the academic committee would be in big trouble.

So he had to be careful.

Locke thought of his potion-making skills. After obtaining that super magical bloodline potion, he had been studying it in his spare time every day, but so far there hadn’t been much progress.

After all, his research time was still short.

However, Locke was certain that this potion wasn’t one of those common potions. If it weren’t for the fact that it was definitely for the Sea Queen, he would have even wanted to drink it himself.

Locke reassured the crystallized wizards in the survey team working for him in the Tranquil Garden, then left and headed to the wizard town to find the wizard Grandet.

Not long after, in a beautiful garden in the wizarding town, Locke and Grandet sat on pure white garden chairs. Locke asked, “Wizard Grandet, a few days ago you told me that I could use the star projector in the White Wizarding Association to project my image onto the effective area of another star projector in another wizarding territory, creating my own star projection. This way, I could visit other wizarding territories directly without using a wizarding airship. Although I could only stay in a small, special area.” “

And there are many limitations. It’s said that each use costs over ten million?”

“You said before that you might be able to get them to let me use it.”

Wizard Grandet stood up and bowed somewhat embarrassedly to Locke, then explained, “It’s truly shameful, and it’s quite laughable. I was originally very confident that with my connections, I could get the White Wizarding Association of Rainswamp to lend you their star projector. But—I still couldn’t get it.”

“Sigh, in the end, it’s just that my influence isn’t strong enough.”

Locke nodded. “It’s not your fault. I’m not from this wizarding land, and I’m holding such a sensitive competition related to Probus wizards. I think being rejected is normal. It doesn’t mean you don’t have enough influence.”

Wizard Grandet breathed a sigh of relief; he was afraid Locke would blame him.

Locke, though inexperienced, had seen things go. In the Cloud Marsh Wetlands and on Golden Crown Mountain, he had interacted with his senior wizard brothers and witnessed how they handled the affairs of the shop alliance. He himself was the administrative manager of Silver Peach Garden. In matters of

personal relationships, the worst thing is to use someone and then discard them, or to blame the person who did the work when it doesn’t go well, or to find fault with them. In the end, the person who helped the most often receives the most complaints.

This is not the way to conduct business.

Locke pushed a cup of wizard’s tea towards Wizard Grandet.

“This is our Green Fish Tea from Golden Crown Mountain. It has a refreshing and sweet taste and a remarkable effect in purifying the body from magical and potion-related contamination. It can also calm the mind and spirit. Compared to potions, although it doesn’t have a single, powerful effect, it has many comprehensive effects, including invigorating the mind. Compared to your local wizard’s wine, I think it has a different flavor. Please try it.”

“Thank you for this.”

Grandet’s eyes brightened as he took the Green Fish Tea, first smelling it, then sipping it. “Good tea. The taste is really good. The wizards in our Wizarding Lands prefer to drink low-alcohol wizard’s wine, but I didn’t expect this wizard’s tea to have such a unique flavor.”

Locke asked, “Why low-alcohol?”

Wizard Grandet said, “High-alcohol wizard’s wine used to be popular, but that stuff is harmful to the body. A mortal could die from just one drop.

We used to have a strong liquor here called ‘Drunken for a Thousand Years.’ A wizard apprentice could drink one sip and then sleep for a thousand years before waking up.”

“But that was Third Ring Wizard’s Wine, also known as the Elixir of Immortality.”

“Not many people can get to drink it,”

Wizard Grandet said to Locke. “Wizard Locke, what are your future plans? I originally wanted to join the Ancient Bloodline Factor Research Institute, become a researcher there, and join the super project. But I was just a few places short, just one or two, which means I have no chance on this top-tier path.”

“So, my current goal is simply to go to a better institution,”

Locke asked. “For example?”

Wizard Grandet’s eyes lit up. “For example, the Root Crown Court, that’s a good place. But I need to accumulate experience first, and then I’ll dare to find a wizard mentor who will value me. The best-case scenario is to get a good research project, apply for a second-ring grant, and then move to another institution with my research group.”

“But that will be very difficult,”

Locke nodded. “It is indeed very difficult. Every place has its own unspoken rules, its own local strongmen and social dynamics. Your idea of taking the entire team to switch jobs is indeed very risky, and it depends heavily on the other party’s character. Wizard Grandet, actually, within the Three Swamps, the Rootcrown Court may not be the best, and the Rootcrown Court is not short of people, so you won’t receive much attention there. Mount Golden Crown is also a good choice.”

Wizard Grandet was taken aback.

Locke said, “Mount Golden Crown’s key laboratory recently collapsed for some reason, so it is rebuilding a new key laboratory related to breeding science, and it is short of people in all aspects. Your going there now is exactly when Mount Golden Crown needs you. You should understand what I mean, right?”

Wizard Grandet’s eyes lit up.

Then he shook his head, calming himself down.

“So having more friends means having more options. Wizard Locke, I actually have another way for you to contact the Seven Mountains without using the Star Projector. I know some very close friends there. If you trust me, I can help you make the contact, and you can remotely command them.” “

At worst, they can put a True Sight Crystal on their heads to record you while communicating with you.”

“If you trust me and my friends, this is certainly a viable option.”

Locke pondered for a moment, but before he could express his opinion, he suddenly heard a loud noise from the sky.

Grandet immediately stood up, while Locke remained seated in a garden chair, gazing upwards at the Valley of Despair. Above the valley, a large, dark red door appeared.

Grandet frowned. “Is this ever going to end? So many things are happening lately.”

“Someone must be trying to stop our competition from continuing.”

However, how could they stop it?

If it were simply canceled, only the wizards of the Swamp Folk Club would be disgraced. Only by continuing the competition, and doing it successfully, could everyone forget about the Swamp Folk Club.

Grandet’s expression changed slightly.

“That’s—planar summoning? This isn’t magic a personal wizard can use.”

“This is war-level magic.”
