Chapter 1121
Chapter 1121
Chapter 1099 Edgar: Locke, save me!
Just as the nascent Heavenly River appeared and the Elven Empire teetered on the brink of collapse, the earth of the Creation Lotus World also trembled, with earthquakes occurring in various parts of the ground.
Edgar Elven Emperor’s army staggered, and Patrick and Ramses were also startled, seeing streams of black lava erupting from the ground.
The wizard Ramses said, “This magical pressure is—it’s a swarm of insects.”
“The queen of the Void Swarm has finally begun to move.”
Suddenly, the capital of the Elven Empire began to crack open from the ground, and Edgar Elven Emperor had no choice but to immediately abandon his attack on Locke’s Ranger system. He immediately ordered, “Withdraw the troops.”
“Return to the capital.”
A huge black spider emerged from the ground like a volcano, and the “black lava” was actually a red spider web. It was only because there were too many black spider eggs hanging on the web that the red spider web turned black.
The spiderwebs fell to the ground, creating a thick carpet of webs. From within the spider eggs, worm-like worms rapidly emerged, frantically devouring leaves, roots, animal carcasses, and anything edible. They grew, spun cocoons, and transformed into black, armored spiders. These
black-armored spiders seemed far more powerful than the previous red spiders; their numbers were immense, even the weakest possessing the magical pressure of a first-class wizard apprentice. Each spider was the size of a small calf.
The massive swarm of black-armored spiders swept through the capital like a torrent.
A grand massacre had begun.
Simultaneously, black spider legs appeared across the land, spreading out like eight pillars supporting the sky.
As the eight legs swayed, the earth shook, the Primordial Lotus World trembled violently, and the swarms frantically devoured the resources of the elven capital, launching a counterattack in the underground world, directly attacking ten underground cave cities of the elven empire.
Seeing the empire’s situation deteriorate rapidly, Edgar had no choice but to immediately abandon his plan to annex Locke’s power system and return to put out the fire.
Edgar’s true form said to the Macedonian witch’s true form, “Although you have increased the total magical pressure of the Creation Lotus World, I can still regain control of the world’s vitality using the ‘Return of All Things to the Tree’ technique. The power to allocate resources across the entire world will eventually return to my hands. It’s only a matter of time. Don’t think you’ve already won.”
At this moment, the Macedonian witch’s true form stood above the crystal wall system and said to Locke, “Locke, seize the opportunity and destroy the Elf Empire together with the swarm of insects.”
The wizard Edgar’s true form was stunned.
“You…”
Locke frowned, witnessing the chaotic scene of dragons and snakes rising from the land of the Creation Lotus World, the heavens and earth turning upside down. “The number of elves who have died is too great.”
“These Void Insect Swarms are like insects that can never be eradicated; they always manage to crawl out from some unknown corner.”
“They were developing underground before.”
“If this continues, hundreds of millions of elves may perish. Macedonia, we are here to solve the problem, not to become the problem.”
The Macedonian witch glanced at Locke and said, “A competition is a competition, Locke, you are too merciful.”
“The Great Magic: All Things Return to the Tree consumes too many resources. If he were to falsely forge himself into the Void Emperor, he would dominate all life. At this moment, I believe that Edgar’s damage to this world has already exceeded that of the insect swarms.
Taking this opportunity to eliminate him is the best course of action.”
“Even if half the population dies now, as long as we can eliminate the Great Magic: All Things Return to the Tree, it will always be good. Otherwise, if he once again occupies the resources of the entire world, this creation problem will be ruined by this person.”
Upon hearing this, Edgar’s true form was also enraged.
“I ruined this creation problem? I let all of you enter my ultimate magic. If it succeeds, the creation problem might still be solvable. Was it right to let you sluggishly cower in a corner, doing nothing? If it weren’t for me, your power system would have been destroyed by the swarm by now.”
“Macedon, you need to learn to say thank you.”
In the Azure Lotus World of Creation, Emperor Edgar the Elf, leading his elite million-strong army, returned to the capital. He began leading fifteen ancient tree-sequence elven warriors—these warriors possessing extraordinary physiques—in battle against the Black Helmet Spiders.
Edgar raised his elven sword and struck a Black Helmet Spider. The spider was sent flying, crashing into a rock, seemingly embedded in it.
“These insects are indeed incredibly strong. There seems to be divine power flowing through the surface of this chitinous armor. Damn Rose, she gave such a dangerous thing to the insect race.”
“These insects’ armor seems to have a special structure that absorbs impact and then releases it. The prototype of this structure should be the extraordinary divine power of the goddess Rose. The insectoids always possess the ability to convert all this power into their own animal traits.”
The number of animal traits possessed by ordinary magical creatures is limited.
However, through a series of studies by wizards of the insect magic school, it has been proven that the Void Swarm possesses an unlimited number of animal traits. They can devour everything to acquire all animal traits and combine them to create powerful insectoid armies.
Fortunately, there is only one Mother of the Void Swarm at present. According to the principles of the Void Swarm, an Overmind needs to rule at least ten Mothers of the Void to form the minimum swarm size. Furthermore, each Mother of the Void must offer its best units to the Overmind to keep the swarm constantly renewing itself.
Two level 15 War Tree warriors behind Emperor Edgar were pounced on by the Black Helmet Spiders and then swept into the swarm, dying without a trace. Simultaneously, the spider’s eight legs shook the earth, continuously causing earthquakes in the capital.
This was an attempt to kill the thirty million elves surrounding the capital in one fell swoop!
It was an attempt to annihilate the most populous region in the world and head towards the Perfect Tree at the capital’s center.
Emperor Edgar invoked the “Return to the Tree of All Things” spell, causing a massive influx of life force to flow to the Perfect Tree. Edgar intended to forcibly extract life force from the swarm by collecting it.
However, the swarm possessed far more life force than he anticipated.
He collected it three times, yet the swarm showed no sign of weakening.
On the contrary, the Perfect Tree was unable to absorb any more life force from the swarm in the short term. Furthermore, according to the rules Edgar himself had established, it even owed the swarm life force, preventing him from directly attacking the swarm with Perfect Treants. This effectively rendered the ultimate power of the “Return to the Tree of All Things” spell useless.
The next moment, a vibrant bolt of lightning struck from the sky, cleaving the top of the Tree of Perfection from top to bottom, causing it to burst into flames.
Edgar’s true form immediately noticed that bolts of lightning were descending upon the center of the Heavenly River Rain Realm.
After a moment’s thought, he understood that this was due to an excess of water-attribute life force, which, through a confluence of circumstances, had accumulated and, under the influence of the Macedonian witch’s life magic, had transformed into lightning-attribute spiritual energy. This was the same situation as the Black Tortoise Bamboo in Locke’s hands.
Excessive accumulation of life force would create abnormal life force, and this abnormally powerful life force would destroy the life force of others.
This was the essence of how life force lightning harmed others.
No matter how varied the spell model or the type of spiritual energy, the damage mechanism of life force lightning remained the same.
The wizard Edgar looked at the Macedonian witch. “Lady Macedon, you have truly enraged me. First, there was the World’s insufficiency, which I have only slightly resolved. Now, there’s the Zerg enemy at my back. Not only do you refuse to help me, but you even attack me!”
The Macedonian witch looked earnestly at the wizard Edgar. “You are more harmful than the Zerg swarm.”
At this moment, she transformed into a saint, descending upon that world. She became a witch wielding the Heavenly Cabbage, a Star Ring Magical Plant cultivated after she had grown numerous varieties of Rain-Generating Cabbage.
Holding the Heavenly Cabbage, she condensed water vapor, pouring in a large amount of celestial water vapor, which then transformed into spiritual lightning that struck the Perfect Tree.
The Macedonian witch, like a saint, wielded divine punishment.
“Life in this world is inherently free; all things flourish and compete freely. Then the Tree of Perfection appropriated this resource, which was originally public, for its own use. This is truly evil, and today I will act on behalf of Heaven to destroy this tree.”
At this moment, the wizards in the Rainswamp audience applauded. Some of them had initially worried that Rainswamp would suffer a crushing defeat in this competition. When Edgar attempted to forge the Void Emperor, many wizards thought Edgar was certain of victory. However, the Macedonian witch’s single move drastically changed the situation.
Edgar’s seemingly powerful Great Magic now resembled a wrecked boat adrift in a storm, seemingly on the verge of capsizing.
All the wizards from Rainswamp cheered in unison.
“I didn’t expect that Lady Macedon wasn’t incapable; she just hadn’t seriously made a move before.”
“She was waiting for an opportunity. The water of that Heavenly River is spiritual energy. I think she was accumulating spiritual energy, increasing the depth of the Rain Realm, and merging more deeply with that world. Unifying the three realms of a world isn’t difficult, but that’s just the surface. Heaven, Earth, and the Sea contain a vast amount of planar principles. She must have been using her energy and power system to organize these principles before. If Mr. Edgar hadn’t disrupted her plans, Lady Macedon would definitely have been preparing to organize all the planar principles of the three realms before making her move.”
“I’m also very optimistic about the Macedonian Witch,”
said a Moon Ring Wizard. “The Macedonian Lady’s vision and magic far surpass our understanding.
Her concept of the unity of the three realms and the pseudo-forging of the magical realm is also rare in the world. It’s something that even the wizards who tried to solve the Creation Lotus problem in the past never attempted. The total magical pressure of the entire world now exceeds the original magical pressure of the Creation Lotus world by about six times. This is partly due to the large number of contestants who entered this time, and also because no one has ever been able to use magic to unify the three realms like the Macedonian Lady.” “
I’m very optimistic that the Macedonian Lady can solve the Creation Problem. Perhaps her approach really can.”
“She wants to maximize the strengthening of the world’s core, the Azure Lotus of Creation. This is different from the Wizard Edgar’s approach of solely focusing on acquiring resources and controlling the world’s life force distribution to win the competition,”
a headmaster of a small wizarding academy in the Rainswamp whispered. “So, it’s the Wizard Edgar who’s dragging Lady Macedon down, isn’t it? If Lady Macedon had solved the creation problem alone, it might have been much simpler than it is now.”
The five judges exchanged glances.
Faust the Wizard chuckled, “Right now, the wizards on our side all feel that the other contestants are holding Macedon back.”
Dean Gray said, “That’s not entirely true. Without so many contestants, it wouldn’t have been possible to increase the magical pressure of that world to this extent. So, their idea that Macedon alone could more easily solve the creation problem is a misconception.”
The Dean of the Reptile Garden said, “But those wizards did indeed hold us back.”
“Macedon’s thinking is quite good. If Edgar hadn’t interrupted her, I think she could have done even better. Take a look at this article.” “
This is an article that hasn’t been published yet. However, you are all highly accomplished individuals. I think it’s perfectly fine for everyone to see it. I will immediately help my daughter publish this article in our ‘Rain’s Edge’ journal.”
Immediately, the judges looked at the article in his hand.
Dean John held the article in his hand, reading it and nodding repeatedly.
“Excellent, it’s hard to imagine that an article of this caliber was written by such a young girl.”
“This article examines why the Rainswamp was once the center of the Reptile Wizarding World, and why the three Reptile races were wiped out by the three Great Floods in the Rainswamp. It deduces a detailed account of water level and climate changes, as well as changes in magical plant species. It seems some experts helped her. I remember some of the data was unavailable to Star Ring Wizards.” “
She discovered that historically, changes in magical plant species could trigger changes in inland circulation efficiency, potentially indirectly affecting the occurrence of the Great Flood.”
“The article concludes with the concept of the unification of the three realms—sky, earth, and ocean—through the Dharma Realm, establishing a water circulation system that runs through the entire world, creating a river that connects heaven and earth, the Heavenly River. And to achieve this, hmm—she believes it requires relying on cabbage.” “
In this way, there will be no more floods.”
Dean John agreed wholeheartedly. “This line of thinking—though the method is flawed, the goal is grand. The Rainswamp has always suffered from flooding. If she can permanently solve this problem—is she preparing for her application for the throne of a Third Ring Wizard?”
The headmaster of the Creeper Garden glanced smugly at the other four judges, especially the Red Dragon Witch. “Of course. You all know that if you wait until you reach the Third Ring to think about this, how long will that take? Resources and opportunities are highly competitive. Young people, even if you lack ability at the beginning, your ambitions must be lofty.” “Even
if you don’t achieve your goal in the future, even if you only accomplish a little, you will have gained a lot. Macedon is a rare kind of young person who, even as a child, already thinks about what she wants to do in the future. She was born in the Rainswamp, where her parents died from flooding. Her adoptive father went bankrupt because our Wizarding Lands suffered from a year-long flood due to problems with the Third Ring Wizard experiment. Growing up in the Rainswamp, a place with excessive rainfall and swamps, she figured out what she wanted to do in the future.”
“She wants to permanently solve the flood problem here.”
“That’s the goal of her application for the throne title. Of course, I and some other high-ring wizards must have guided her. But in the end, one can only rely on oneself; how can others help another person with their ambitions?”
The judges nodded in amazement, marveling at the Macedonian witch’s lofty ambition.
Dean John said, “No wonder I saw that witch’s power system had fifty-three kinds of cabbage magical plants, from apprentice level to star-ring magical plants. I thought she just liked cabbages, but I didn’t expect her goal to use cabbages to establish a unified water cycle of the three realms. Her goal is really too big.” “
It’s really good that a young person can have such a goal.”
The Red Dragon Witch also nodded. “This child—is indeed quite good.”
The Dean of the Reptile Garden smiled with satisfaction, as if showing off a child.
Even the Red Dragon Throne had acknowledged the Macedonian witch, which made him extremely pleased.
The Six-Eyed Raven Witch smiled. “But Edgar is a very resilient man. I admit the Macedonian witch is quite good. But she’s still a bit lacking compared to my Edgar the wizard. Edgar’s greatest strength is turning defeat into victory.”
The two third-ring wizards exchanged glances, anger flashing in their eyes.
Clearly, both of them felt like they were showing off their students.
The headmaster of the Reptile Garden said, “The unity of the three realms is still more ingenious than Edgar’s idea of all things returning to the tree. It influences the rain cycle through plants, and then gathers life force through the rain cycle, transforming it into thunder or into life-giving rain that nourishes the earth.”
“While all things returning to the tree creates almost no value,”
said Lady Six-Eyed Raven. “Distributing value is value itself.”
“All things returning to the tree is extremely effective and quick to establish, while the Macedonian child’s magic, in every other way, is good, but it’s too slow. The Creation Lotus World can’t wait, and neither can the insect swarm problem.”
The anger in their eyes intensified.
The Red Dragon Witch, on the other hand, sipped her wizard’s tea, watching all this with amusement.
Within the world of the Primordial Lotus, the wizard Edgar was simultaneously attacked by the Macedonian witch and the insect swarm. He was caught in a dilemma, unsure of what to do.
If he didn’t resolve this issue, not only would the Void Emperor’s pseudo-forging be unsuccessful, but he himself would be immediately eliminated.
At this moment, Edgar immediately absorbed the life force of the two great magics of Ramses and Patrick, forcibly extending the life of his own great magic. The two were speechless, but helpless; they were held hostage by Edgar and powerless to resist.
Ramses and Patrick exchanged a glance, seemingly discussing something.
Meanwhile, two pseudo-forging-level sequences appeared on Edgar, the Elven Emperor: the War Tree sequence and the Knight Tree sequence. He had deduced these sequences separately during this period, bringing the Elven Empire to six pseudo-forging-level sequences.
Originally, Edgar’s plan was to absorb the great magics of Macedon and Locke, then have these two greatest rivals help him complete the subsequent pseudo-forging sequences.
But now, he had no choice but to act himself.
After fully absorbing the life force of the two great magics, and with Edgar suddenly using his trump cards—two more Void Forging level sequences—the overall magical pressure of the Elven Empire increased, and his knight commanders and warrior commanders all became Void Forging level magical pressure beings.
The two elven generals knelt before Edgar, the Elven Emperor, and said, “Thank you, Your Majesty.”
At this moment, the golden radiance of the Tree of Perfection fell upon the two elven generals, as if a divine blessing, greatly enhancing their power.
Edgar’s Tree of All Things, due to the sudden increase in life force, was able to in turn absorb the life force of the Void Insect swarm.
Life force was flowing back into the Tree of All Things.
Edgar said, “Generals, you will lead the army to annihilate those insect swarms.”
“I will go to resist the lightning that falls from the sky.”
“The power of the Empire depends on you to maintain it.”
The two elven generals looked at Edgar with worship; they had already regarded Edgar as a god.
“Yes, Your Majesty, thank you for bestowing upon us this unparalleled power.”
At this moment, the Mother of Insects on the Creation Lotus hissed.
The Macedonian witch hadn’t expected Edgar to have a trump card up his sleeve, that he still had some leverage.
Edgar’s Great Magic was the only one among all the contestants capable of mass-producing Void Forging level professionals. At this moment, the two Star Ring beings might not be able to deal with the Mother of Insects, nor with Macedonia, but they could handle the swarms of insects besieging the Imperial capital.
Edgar then walked towards the Tree of Perfection, with each step his Tree of Perfection grew taller, with each step his magical pressure increased.
His magical pressure was almost exceeding the Star Ring limit.
“Macedonian Witch, I thank you. You have expanded the total resources. This has given me both the danger of potential downfall and the opportunity to enhance my Great Magic. In such a barren region, without sufficient resources, I would need fifteen Void Forging Sequences. But your Great Magic, Heavenly Craftsmanship, has strengthened this world, restoring it to the resource level expected of a medium-to-large-scale world. Therefore, even half of the Void Forging Sequences is worth a try.”
The Macedonian Witch’s saintly avatar appeared deep in thought in the sky. Half?
Half of the fifteen sequences must be at least seven, not six.
So where will the remaining one come from?
The next moment, Edgar reached out and grabbed at the void.
“Mr. Ramses, I have said before that my Void Emperor is without virtue or conduct, using nothing to control nothingness. The power path you and Patrick created should have been presented long ago. The Empire will reward you and give you higher positions.”
A Void Forging power path of a Dragonbone Master was forced to appear and entered the Tree of Perfection.
Ramses and Patrick both sighed.
Ramses comforted him, “I told you before, we can only gamble. The reason is simple: our ultimate magic is now within the framework of his ultimate magic. He can easily detect whatever we do. I never thought that what we intended as our trump card would become something that saves him. This Void Emperor controls all life through plants. If he really succeeds in his pseudo-forging in the wizarding world, that would be incredible.”
Patrick sighed. “It’s alright, I’ve seen how vast the world is. Anyway, he’s included us in his ultimate magic because he needs us. So it’s difficult for him to eliminate us. As long as we’re still in this competition, we’ll find new opportunities sooner or later.”
At this moment, Edgar the Elf Emperor gathered seven pseudo-forging sequences. He was going to directly attempt to complete the pseudo-forging to deal with the double attack from the swarm of insects and the Macedonian witch.
At this moment, Edgar, the Elf Emperor, wielding a branch from the Ancient Tree of Life, hurled a [Life Piercing Strike] star ring spell model at the Macedonian Witch’s saintly avatar. The branch transformed into a blur, heading towards the heart of the Macedonian Witch’s saintly avatar. Meanwhile, the Macedonian Witch’s Heavenly Cabbage transformed into water, forming a water shield that blocked her path.
The Life Piercing Strike struck the
water shield. The next instant, a Life Piercing Strike was deflected from the water shield, emerging as another, aimed directly at Edgar.
The Macedonian Witch smirked.
However, Edgar remained calm. He chanted a spell, and the Perfect Treant beside him plucked a branch from the treetop. In that instant, a phantom image of a magical cycle of all things returning to the tree appeared above Edgar’s head—a cycle composed of tree, human, and animal—the foundation of the Void Emperor he was to forge.
The treant of the Perfect Tree seemed to have developed facial features, the features of the Void Emperor.
This further enhanced Edgar, who then unleashed four spells in succession: Life Piercing Strike, Intertwined Branches, Life Spear Array, and finally, Void Spear.
The first three were his previous magical chain skills, while the final Void Spear was a model of a star ring spell he had constructed during this competition, intending to complete it into a moon ring spell once the pseudo-forging of the Great Magic was successful.
Simultaneously, the Perfect Treant possessed an excellent-level mystical meaning: [Life Multiplication].
This mystical meaning ensured that his Perfect Treant possessed the highest vitality in the entire arena, which was crucial; otherwise, he couldn’t make the Perfect Tree the center of all things and dominate the life cycle. The excellent-level mystical meaning of Life Multiplication could actually increase vitality by 1.2 times.
Because life itself is not vitality,
but increasing life can consequently increase vitality.
At this moment, the Void Spear enveloped every branch of the Perfect Ancient Tree in a layer of ethereal energy, multiplying life and enhancing the attack module composed of the four spell models—Edgar’s most powerful magical output to date.
The Macedonian witch instinctively raised her Heavenly Cabbage, uttering, “Heavenly Supreme!”
A water mirror shield reappeared before her, countless Void Spears piercing it.
This guy actually possesses such power, rendering my Heavenly Supreme unable to deflect his attacks.
The Macedonian witch’s expression changed slightly. She possessed two major spell models: the first was the White Emperor’s Sword, the strongest offensive spell model in the Star Ring; the second was the strongest defensive spell model in the Star Ring: Heavenly Supreme.
Utilizing the waters of the Rain Realm, it could absorb the opponent’s attacks and reflect them back, primarily using spiritual energy and life magic.
Now, Heavenly Supreme, a spell model she believed was unbreakable throughout the entire match, had actually been breached.
*Crack!*
The Macedonian witch chanted a spell, and instantly, Heavenly Cabbage enveloped her body, transforming it into cabbage armor. Simultaneously, she swung her hand, throwing out several cabbage warriors. Then, she chanted another spell, and bolts of lightning shot from her Heavenly Cabbage Armor, striking Edgar.
The Macedonian witch was instantly blasted away by the exploding Heavenly Cabbage Armor.
Edgar wasn’t faring any better. He had already fallen into Macedonian’s trap, relying solely on his previous arrangements to turn the tide. Now, he too was blasted away by the Heavenly Lightning Armor, while five Star Ring-level cabbage warrior magical plants charged towards him.
Edgar, now truly enraged, got up from the ground, wiping the blood from his face.
“Fine, since that’s the case, I’ll fight you to the end today! Void Spear!”
He caught a branch shot out by the Perfect Tree, which automatically transformed into a spear in his hand, yet this spear was ethereal, an intangible void.
“Come on, let’s see if your White Emperor’s Sword is stronger, or my Void Spear. You want to destroy me? Then I’ll destroy you first. Anyway, I don’t need you now.”
Edgar swung his Void Spear at the Macedonian witch.
Meanwhile, in the Ranger’s jungle, Master Jin and the others were studying the leaf Locke had mentioned. If it weren’t for the unparalleled power displayed by the elven youth Locke had transformed into, they would have thought this leaf of power was just an ordinary leaf of power, nothing special.
But with the various abilities Locke had displayed, they were all focused on this leaf, beginning to comprehend its meaning.
Locke stood on the platform.
“You are all highly accomplished individuals, yet after looking at this leaf of mine, you still find it ordinary, even quite commonplace. Some have even whispered that it’s a worthless leaf of power. Is it that none of you can fathom the secrets of this leaf, discover its true power?” “
Then let’s return to our questions. What is evolution? What is prosperity? I have another question. This is my third question, and these questions carry weight, so I hope you won’t dismiss them lightly. I ask you, what does it mean to be close to nature? You are all forest rangers, each of you claiming to be messengers of nature every day, but I ask you, what does it mean to be close to nature?”
Master Qin was the first to stand up. “Planting saplings, maintaining a balance in animal populations, and protecting the jungle from malicious human damage—this is what it means to be close to nature, and it’s what we Rangers have always been doing.”
Locke shook his head. “Master Qin, you’ve only described the common behaviors of Rangers. These are your actions, not true closeness to nature. So, after removing these stereotypical behaviors, what exactly is closeness to nature in your hearts?”
Locke’s third question was like a hammer blow, delivering another heavy blow to the masters who were already lost in confusion.
Locke said, “Since you all don’t have answers for now, why not spread my three questions to the entire Ranger community? I believe the questions themselves are meaningful. These are my three questions about nature; questions are knowledge, and good questions may be even more valuable than good knowledge.”
Master Qin bowed to Locke. “Master, although we cannot yet be certain of your identity, you are undoubtedly the most powerful and wise among us.”
“We are willing to consider your three questions: What is evolution? What is prosperity? What is closeness to nature? But Master, outside, war rages and disaster seems to be everywhere. Why don’t we go out to rescue them? Isn’t this tantamount to watching others fall into danger? Master, please forgive my impolite question.”
Locke looked up at the sky.
Edgar had inadvertently fallen into a trap, and the Macedonian witch seemed to want to unify the three realms, but she needed to sort out the principles of the planes and construct the Dharma realm. She didn’t have enough time or accumulation. So although she set a trap for Edgar, she didn’t have the ability to solve Edgar’s problem. It seems that Edgar can overcome this crisis.”
Locke looked at Master Qin. “There are three forces fighting outside. I ask you, who will you help? Will you help the Elven Empire, or the Rain Realm beings who are essentially helping the insectoids kill the elves?”
Master Qin was stunned for a moment. “This—”
He was caught in a dilemma.
Not only him, but the other masters were also caught in a dilemma.
Locke chuckled and said, “Since you are still unable to distinguish between good and evil, it would be better for you to stay here, think through my three questions, and then leave. If you are unsure of your own morality and who to help, what good will it do you to go out? Will you turn a three-way conflict into a four-way conflict, making the already chaotic situation even more complicated?”
“Or are we going to annihilate the other three?”
Master Qin En asked. “Well—how can we possibly annihilate the other three? Besides, if we were to annihilate them, two of them are elves, both commanding treants and grass spirits, seemingly like us Rangers. If we attack them, wouldn’t that be fratricide?”
The other masters also felt the situation was troublesome.
Locke looked into the depths of this world. He saw that as Edgar and the Macedonian witch fought, the wizard Probus, who had been watching the entire battle, was moving further towards the Queen of the Abyss.
The wizard Probus’s essence was moving away from this place.
The wizard Probus seemed to be saying, “See, this is the evil of humanity.”
Locke frowned.
He didn’t actually have a strong desire for the championship, which is why he was playing it safe in this competition. As the organizer, his victory lay in successfully holding the event, and he was willing to share the profits with the other participants.
But now it seemed he had no choice but to win.
This ceremony for Probus had gone astray because of the battle between the Macedonian witch and Edgar.
Meanwhile,
neither Edgar nor the Macedonian witch could defeat the other. As Edgar’s army temporarily repelled the swarm, the Macedonian witch chose to retreat rather than continue wasting time with Edgar, preventing Locke from seizing an opportunity.
Edgar, on the other hand, went deep underground, trying to find the swarm of insects with spider legs like pillars of heaven. However, looking at the tunnel leading to the Earth’s core, he frowned, because he had run all the way to the bottom of the Earth without finding the location of the mutated red spider.
“These red spiders are impossible to eradicate completely.”
Edgar casually planted some seeds in the ground. These seeds were from special crops that were highly poisonous to the insect swarm, but he didn’t have time to research plants specifically designed to target the red spiders.
Where else could they possibly hide?
He had to seize this opportunity to see if he could successfully forge the original.
Edgar was increasingly anxious after this near-failure, because his “Tree of All Things Returning to the Tree” technique had now been proven to be able to control most of the life force, but not completely.
He also concluded that continuing to work on controlling this life force was pointless.
He could improve the efficiency of life force control by strengthening the Perfect Tree and increasing the number and variety of ancient trees, but these improvements couldn’t be made much in the short term.
This was his current optimal state.
Edgar returned to the ground, attempting to construct his own homeostasis using the seven sequences. If he could succeed, his ultimate magic would completely transform him into the Void Emperor, and the Perfect Treant into the Void Treant. However, as the Tree of All Things above his head circulated, he frowned. Homeostasis hadn’t been created; instead, it made him feel increasingly empty, increasingly uneasy.
“I’m actually uneasy—how can my desire for form be so strong?”
Edgar’s expression changed slightly. “
My Tree of All Things can forcibly absorb form. Logically, I shouldn’t have such a strong need for form. What happened?” “
Why can’t I continue the pseudo-forging, why can’t I condense homeostasis? Instead, I’m becoming increasingly uneasy, as if my form has been plundered by a necromancer.
Who is stealing my form, preventing me from pseudo-forging?” Edgar
quickly suspected Ramses and Patrick, but he had just reprimanded both of them. Then he began to suspect the Swarm, but the Swarm had also just turned against him and been suppressed a second time, fleeing again and disappearing without a trace, gathering strength and looking for an opportunity.
Edgar quickly checked the entire empire and his own Great Magic, but he couldn’t find where his forms had disappeared.
“Something’s not right. So many forms are disappearing, why haven’t I noticed anything?”
“Damn it, the forms are disappearing too fast. I must return to the capital.” “
I’m also injured right now. I was originally planning to use my Great Magic, which was at its peak, to suppress my injuries, but that Macedonian witch’s magic is truly powerful—”
Edgar quickly returned to the capital, and as a result, the rate at which his forms were disappearing slowed down by a hundred times.
“So, am I locked up in the capital? Judging from the situation, if it were a wizard, my return to the capital would be useless. But now that I’m back, it’s working, which means my ultimate magic itself is malfunctioning. Luckily, I didn’t create a Void Emperor outside, or I would have ruined myself.”
Edgar was drenched in cold sweat. “Why? What’s stealing my form? Why can’t I find it?”
Edgar returned to the capital, only to be confronted by a large number of his elven subjects, displaced people. His army was capturing these people and enslaving them.
Edgar instantly teleported to an elven officer wielding a whip. “Are you capturing slaves? Who gave the order?”
The elven officer was startled and quickly saluted. “Your Majesty, it was the infantry commander who gave the order. Not only the infantry commander, but many others are hunting slaves.”
Edgar’s face was grim.
He watched as the vicious soldiers captured the elven civilians who had just lost their homes, suffered a great calamity, and were now displaced. The civilians screamed, trying to escape, but were caught, their shoulders pinned down with knees, and slave collars were placed around their necks.
Edgar shook his head. In that instant, the foolish place of the Blackwater World seemed to appear before his eyes.
At that moment, a thought flashed through his mind.
“I deliberately relaxed the order within the empire for the sake of rapid development. Or perhaps the Void Emperor himself wanted to recruit heroes from all over the land, so I couldn’t be too forceful in managing the internal affairs.” “My intention was to seek out talent, and Ramses and Patrick entered my empire.”
But now, what difference is there between my empire and the Blackwater World?
Edgar was about to intervene, but his form was now disappearing even faster.
“Something must be stealing my form from within my Great Magic, either from outside or from within. Oh no, my wound is getting worse. I must return to the vicinity of the Tree of Perfection—”
Edgar walked, pondering what had gone wrong. He began to suspect not only the wizards and the insectoids, but even the goddess Rose, and then the elven mortals within his Great Magic system, the three Void Forged beings, and everyone else he could remember.

Edgar discovered that not only was he unable to enter into false forging, but his existing Void Forging was actually returning to Unforgedness.
“My ultimate magic is in serious trouble.”
“Damn it. I’m in a predicament now, unable to leave this throne—”
Edgar felt incredibly helpless; he seemed to have reached a dead end. Worst of all, he didn’t know who had stolen his form, nor why he couldn’t forge falsely.
Could this be a flaw of the Unforged Empire?
Sitting on the throne, feeling his situation worsen, Edgar thought of someone.
