Chapter 26
Chapter 26 Exchange and Quarrel
Below the cabin deck, in the corridor, a young wizard wearing a gray wizard robe embroidered with gold thread looked at Locke and Lawen indifferently.
Behind him were more than a dozen wizard seedlings with third-level qualifications.
“I’m the admissions officer for Verdantia University.”
“Are you two Locke from Corfu and Lawn from Schleswig?”
Lawn responded immediately, “Yes, I am Lawn, and this is Locke Augustine.”
Verdantia University’s admissions officer, Gregor Jackson, nodded nonchalantly. “I’ve reviewed both of your profiles. They’re both pretty good for a Level 3 apprentice. Follow me.”
Laun asked doubtfully, “Dear teacher, which magic category should we study at Verdantia University?”
He had seen before that the admissions teachers of Verdantia University would tell the students who were accepted into their wizarding organization what type of magic they would study after entering Verdantia University.
But this time it was different. The admissions teacher from Verdantia University just asked them a few questions casually and asked them to follow up without any intention of giving a detailed introduction.
Locke frowned slightly at the strange attitude of the admissions teacher.
In particular, he saw that next to the admissions teacher of Verdantia University, there was a blue-haired girl who looked at them with contempt, as if she wanted to say something but stopped herself.
Gregor, the admissions teacher at Verdantia University, didn’t explain anything, didn’t pay any attention to Lawn, and just walked away.
Locke glanced at Lawn, pulled him to follow, and whispered, “Let’s follow and see first.”
Laun whispered, “Locke, something seems to be wrong.”
Locke said, “I think we might have entered into some kind of deal. Look at the girl next to that teacher. She’s also a wizard seedling this time. She wears the badge of another wizarding organization, but she’s following the admissions teacher at Verdantia University.”
“That’s probably why we’re in this weird situation right now.”
“Let’s see for now. In the end, we’ll definitely have a place to go.”
Laun clenched his fists but said nothing. He didn’t expect that his good plans would be suddenly disrupted by a wizard he had never seen or known.
He kept praying in his heart, hoping that they were wrong.
Gregor, the admissions teacher at Verdantia University, led them through the corridor and came before an elderly witch who was wearing a green wizard robe and looked like she was covered in a pile of rags.
This elderly-looking witch was obviously an admissions teacher for another wizarding organization.
Yuli Burns, the admissions officer from Lilith Lodge who had come to the Wizard Ship, stared intently at the blue-haired girl beside Gregor and angrily said, “Luckin, you’ve already signed a new student contract with us at Lilith Lodge. You’re a student here. How could you be walking with Verdantia University?”
The blue-haired girl seemed a little frightened and guilty, not daring to look Yuli Burns in the eye.
Gregor said, “To be precise, the new student contract hasn’t been officially signed yet. So, Luckin isn’t a student of Lilith’s Cabin yet.”
“Witch Burns, I want to talk to you. I want to invite Luckin to study at Verdantia University and study our Potions major.”
“Luckin’s wizard qualification is level 6, which is more than enough for studying Potions at our university. I also provided her with a generous Magic Stone Scholarship contract, as well as three priority entries into the Wizarding Secret Realm in the future.”
“I think it was unreasonable for you to rush to sign Lilith Lodge yesterday without Ruixing understanding the gap between her and Verdantia University.”
Yuli Burns’s eyes grew sinister, and her large nose seemed even more formidable in her anger. “So, Luckin is a wizarding progeny cultivated by our Lilith Hut in the mortal world.”
“According to the White Wizards Association, our Lilith Cottage has the right of first choice for her. This right has nothing to do with her own will. Besides, our Lilith Cottage is also strong in the field of potions, and we have the trump card.”
“Comprehensively speaking, we are not necessarily worse than your Verdantia University!”
“Gregor, are you going to break the rules?”
Yuli Burns’s eyes were dangerous. She took out a bottle of black unknown potion from under her wizard robe with a horrifying look.
Wizard Gregor looked at the black potion in her hand and revealed a hint of fear. After all, the most powerful thing in Lilith’s cottage was potion learning.
Who knows what kind of vicious curse potion the old witch’s potion is.
Wizard Gregor remained calm and continued, “This is not just the opinion of a small pawn like me, but also the opinion of our Dean Hal Dean.”
Yuli Burns’s movements paused.
Wizard Gregor continued, “Mr. Dean asked me to relay the following: Your Lilith Cottage is already locked in a fierce battle with the Dark Wizard Organization, the Blood Curse Tribunal, and the losses are considerable. If you agree to hand over Luckin to us, we will quickly push the White Wizard Association to support your proposal.”
Yuli Burns stared at Gregor with a terrifying look in her eyes. “Damn you, you bastards who are taking advantage of the situation.”
Wizard Gregor spread his hands and said, “It’s just a reasonable deal.”
“Besides that, we also have other compensation options. We’re willing to make the greatest concessions when it comes to wizards with Level 3 qualifications. For example, we’ll give the seven Level 3 wizards who were supposed to belong to Verdantia University to your Lilith Hut for free.”
“Of course, they all meet the requirements of your Lilith Cottage for wizard seedlings.”
“Here’s the list…”
Locke and Lawen took a look and saw that their names were among them, and they were placed in the front row.
Obviously, they should be the ones with the best files among this batch of wizard seedlings with third-level qualifications.
They became tools used by Verdantia University to exchange Luckin Coffee from Lilith Cabin.
Lawn was furious and whispered in Locke’s ear, “How could they do this! Verdantia University is the best wizarding organization. Lilith’s Hut is at least two levels behind Verdantia University!”
Locke shrugged and said nothing.
The best may not necessarily be the most suitable.
Verdantia University is a huge organization, with both excellent magic categories and magic categories that are just for show, so entering Verdantia University may not necessarily be a good thing.
The magic field that Verdantia University excels in has nothing to do with the two of them.
On the contrary, they, especially Laun and himself, seemed to be considered by the admissions teachers of Verdantia University to be the ones who best met Lilith Hut’s standards for wizard seedlings, so it was not necessarily a bad thing for the two of them to enter Lilith Hut.
However, when Locke glanced at the admissions teacher of Verdantia University and Luckin beside him, he felt a little unhappy.
I am not a tool used to balance others.
However, if you don’t become an official wizard, you won’t have much say.
Therefore, he could only remain silent about this matter for the time being. Only when he becomes an official wizard in the future would he be qualified to restart his criticism of this matter.
