Chapter 40 Moonlight Elixir
Chapter 40: Moonlight Elixir.
The halfling second-class wizard apprentice respectfully and in detail introduced the conditions of Lilith’s hut to Locke. “The academy has prepared better accommodation for second-class wizard apprentices – Upside Down Alley.”
“In the academy, most second-class wizard apprentices either live in Upside Down Alley or have their own wizard mentors arrange housing for them. Only a small number of them live outside on their own.”
“After becoming a second-class wizard apprentice, you will have your own room in Upside Down Alley.”
“Here are the keys to your house, 341 Upside Down Lane.”
“Besides that, you can go to the public areas such as the potion auction venue in Lilith’s cabin, the Blood Roar Colosseum, the Black Diamond Alchemy Workshop, and the Chimera Trading Market.”
Locke nodded. It seemed that by becoming a second-class wizard apprentice, he had unlocked many permissions in Lilith’s Hut and had greater freedom.
There was a huge trading market inside Lilith’s cabin, called the Chimera Trading Market, but third-class wizard apprentices were not allowed to enter. In the past, he could only enter the market with the witch Sophia.
That market and the potion auction are the most important assets of Lilith’s cottage.
A large number of wizards will enter the market to trade.
Therefore, third-class wizard apprentices are prohibited from entering. One reason is that it is dangerous, and the second reason is that third-class wizard apprentices have little purchasing power and cannot produce good things for trading.
Locke asked inquiringly, “What is the Blood Roar Colosseum? I’ve never heard of it before.”
The second-class halfling wizard apprentice smiled and said, “Oh, it’s normal that you haven’t heard of it, Senior.”
“It’s a public building that the academy built in the last five years. Previously, there weren’t many wizard apprentices in Lilith’s Cottage, and they were wizard apprentices specializing in several sub-directions of magic from the School of Summoning.”
“But ten years ago, a formal wizard from the School of Summoning, specializing in beast taming magic, joined Lilith Academy.”
“Under his training, the animal taming magic in Lilith’s hut has gradually grown stronger recently, becoming a relatively powerful type of magic for external use.”
“So, Lilith’s cottage built a Blood Roar Colosseum specifically for those beast-taming wizard apprentices to fight and hone their skills.”
The halfling second-class wizard apprentice smiled and said, “Becoming a second-class wizard apprentice will also provide you with special benefits. Every month, the academy will give you thirty magic stones.”
“Every month, the academy will also give you five bottles of [Concentration Ointment] to increase the growth rate of your mental strength.”
“Of course, this special benefit can only last for five years. If you don’t become a first-class wizard apprentice within five years, these benefits will be halved. If you don’t become a first-class wizard apprentice within ten years, these benefits will be cancelled.”
The halfling second-class wizard apprentice had a hint of bitterness in his tone.
Although Locke didn’t ask him how long he had been stuck at the second-class wizard apprentice stage, he thought it wouldn’t be short.
The Halfling Second-Class Wizard Apprentice said, “Besides that, Senior, you also have obligations to the academy.”
“So you have to take up a mission position at the academy and work for the academy.”
“These duties will be assigned to you by higher-ups. Your mentor will send someone to notify you when the time comes.”
“There is also a contract, but your contract with the academy is usually signed by your instructor, who automatically signs it for you.”
The halfling second-class wizard apprentice said, “After all, it’s rare for a wizard apprentice to refuse to sign a contract.”
“The contract for a second-class wizard apprentice is not demanding. In addition to your benefits, the academy only requires you to assume certain duties, work for the academy, and create value.”
“Also, I have to promise that after becoming a first-class wizard apprentice, I will stay in Lilith’s Hut for at least fifteen years before I can leave.”
Locke nodded in understanding.
For second-class wizard apprentices, studying has become a part-time job and study.
As a second-class wizard apprentice, he can already do a lot of work.
Likewise, a first-class wizard apprentice is already a very valuable wizard to the academy.
A first-class wizard apprentice can even have his own independent laboratory or an independent small alchemy workshop.
Lilith Cottage certainly couldn’t just leave the apprentice it had trained for many years and walk away from the academy.
However, this is not a big problem.
First of all, I have no intention of changing colleges in the short term. It is unrealistic and unnecessary.
Secondly, Teacher Sophia once told him that the wizarding world is a world of equal exchange, so as long as he pays enough value, he can forcibly breach the contract and leave Lilith Academy early.
But no matter what, you should first get training from the academy and improve your wizard level.
Only the strong have the power to choose.
The halfling second-class wizard apprentice flipped through the handbook and said with surprise, “By the way, Senior, the academy has a special bonus for wizard seedlings who become second-class wizard apprentices within one year.”
“You can choose a reward item from the list below. The reward item will be delivered to you through your mentor.”
“Here’s the list.”
Locke glanced at the list and found that there were two lists in total.
One is a list of reward items for wizard seedlings who become second-class wizard apprentices within six months, and the other is a list of reward items within one year.
Undoubtedly, the quality of the items on the first list will be better.
The second list is slightly worse.
But I think that only wizards with level 7 qualifications and some level 6 qualifications can become second-class wizard apprentices within half a year.
Wizard seedlings with level 7 qualifications have a nickname called “Sons of Elements” because their affinity with their main elements is so high that it is unimaginable for ordinary wizard apprentices.
Locke looked at the second list. He glanced at it and found no trace of meditation on the list, but there were some potions that increased the speed of mental power improvement, which looked much more advanced than the meditation ointment.
There are even magical items similar to the silver sword in Lawn’s hand, which are of course definitely more advanced than Lawn’s silver sword.
In addition, there are some simple spell models, magic materials, or alchemy tools, etc.
Locke thought about it and realized that he really wanted the enchanted item.
For example, there is a set of magical items on the list called [Fu Vine Soft Armor]. It is armor made of activated vines. It can absorb moonlight at night to automatically repair itself and provide a certain degree of protection.
There is also a magic item called [Malice Scimitar], which is enchanted with the tricks of the school of conjuration, and can release mental curses on the enemy when attacking the enemy.
But Locke felt that everything else was empty and that improving his magic power was the most important thing, so he chose a bottle of advanced potion [Moonlight Elixir] that could improve his mental power.
The second-class halfling wizard apprentice immediately registered after seeing Locke’s choice, and then said with a smile: “Senior, your choice is very correct.”
“Although Moonlight Elixir isn’t a magic potion yet, it’s a high-level potion for increasing mental strength that first-class wizard apprentices will pay attention to. Those meditation ointments distributed by the academy can’t compare to Moonlight Elixir at all.”
“I heard that once you take the Moonlight Elixir, your mental strength growth rate will at least double for the next year.”
“In the second year, the growth rate of mental strength will increase by 50 percent.”
“In the third year, the growth rate of mental strength will only retain an additional 10%.”
“It’s very difficult to obtain this kind of moonlight elixir through ordinary channels. Even if you have magic stones, you may not be able to buy it.”
“This is the most cost-effective reward item on the prize list.”
Obviously, although it was impossible for the halfling second-class wizard apprentice to get the reward items on the prize list, he studied the two prize lists a lot when he was alone.
Locke nodded at him. “Okay.”
“Then I’m leaving.”
The halfling said respectfully, “Senior, take care.”
