Chapter 966
Chapter 966
Chapter 960 Advancement to Star Ring Bloodline, Obtaining the Third World Leaf!
The Dark Great Evil King seemed extremely angry. His fists slammed into the ground, unleashing a powerful burst of dark energy. He attempted to detonate the energy by attacking the ground in one go, engulfing everything around him, including himself, his army, Locke, and Douglas.
He was indeed unable to move the Cloud Fields and Cloud Rice because he couldn’t log into the Botanical Root Realm. After being tricked by Locke into drinking a potion mixed with Cloud Fields and Cloud Rice, he was trapped in place and could only use dark energy to corrode the magical rice, but this would take some time.
However, the Dark Great Evil King realized that he didn’t need to worry about his large army of demons and monsters around him. He simply smashed his fist into this world, detonating it and everything within it, annihilating everyone here in one fell swoop.
What army? He didn’t care.
Meanwhile, the native inhabitants of the dark world cast mocking glances from the sky. The dramatic conflict before them had amused them, but as the Dark Evil King prepared to annihilate, bury, and destroy everything, these native viewers erupted in curses, seemingly finding the Dark Evil King outrageous and despicable.
Douglas turned back, his heart pounding with fear. A pair of gigantic fists appeared on the horizon, falling not from the sky against them, but against the entire world. A
world-destroying demonic pressure descended.
It was the aura of the end of the world, the spirit of doomsday.
The instant the spirit of doomsday appeared, his permanent defensive field began to malfunction. The magical models within his originally exquisitely designed permanent defensive field began to break down and conflict with each other, unleashing bolts of magical lightning from his body.
Douglas felt a chill run down his spine. He felt as if he had fallen into the clutches of the Dark Evil King, utterly hopeless and powerless.
“No!”
Douglas gritted his teeth, fully activating his Five Elements Reversal Perpetual Defense Field to resist the apocalyptic aura.
Locke didn’t turn around.
He had sensed this apocalyptic aura before; he was very familiar with it, having seen it at least three times before.
Once in the Silent Plane.
Once during the battle between the Rose Witch and the Red Dragon Witch.
The last time was when the dying Persepolis gods attempted to cause a higher plane to fall into the material plane, responding to that world’s law of destruction and thus putting the world on a countdown to its demise.
But now, with his improved understanding of auras, Locke had perceived part of the truth behind the so-called apocalypse. At least when such an apocalypse was about to occur, the world’s power, activated by the law of destruction, would produce a special product called the apocalyptic aura.
Although it sounded strange, for some reason, the plane’s laws, when impacted by a world-destroying force, would spontaneously generate a special aura—the apocalyptic aura.
If that’s the case, then any third-ring wizard’s attack would likely generate an apocalyptic aura, since almost every third-ring wizard possesses the ability to summon the end of the world.
Therefore, in the third-ring world, an apocalyptic aura seems to be a standard feature.
And now, this lord of the dark world, clearly enraged, unleashed a full-force attack, attempting to annihilate everything around him,
and surprisingly, he too summoned an apocalyptic aura. Locke also noticed that under the apocalyptic aura, his spellcasting was starting to malfunction; primarily, all magical power seemed to be fading, even the principles of the original plane—whether his own, this world’s, or even the principles he brought from the wizarding world—were all affected.
They all showed signs of decay under the apocalyptic aura.
However, the specific nature of the apocalyptic aura required further research or analysis.
But Locke didn’t have time to collect this dangerous aura at the moment.
He and Douglas ran to the relic pillar and used the token to open it. However, entering the relic required some time, as the protective magic model hidden within was activating. Beams of light refracted in the air, intersecting to form a complex six-pointed star pattern.
Douglas swallowed hard; he had come here in his true form.
He kept looking back at the two giant fists descending from the sky, then back at the gradually completing six-pointed star pattern on the relic pillar.
He swallowed again, because even if the treasure was opened and they entered its space, would they have time to return to the Wizarding World?
Douglas could only place his hopes on Locke.
Meanwhile, Locke calculated the time.
‘Time is tight, but if we can grab everything the moment the treasure is opened, and then fly away with Douglas using the Great Roaring Dragon Sparrow, perhaps that’s possible.’
‘The Dark Evil King cannot move, so he can only summon the World Destroyer.’ “But his arrival to destroy the world will take time, and the world’s descent into destruction will also take time.” “
However, according to the information I’ve gathered, the wizarding treasures of the Age of Stars are most likely of the interdimensional type. That is, the treasure trove here is just a teleportation portal. If that’s the case, it’s much simpler. Douglas and I only need to open the treasure at the last moment and enter to avoid the destruction.” “
Having this information is one of the reasons I dared to enter this place after becoming a Star Ring Wizard and seize the treasure from the Dark Lord.” “
But this requires a gamble.
Because Locke can’t be sure if the treasure’s entrance is a teleportation portal. If he’s wrong, he’ll need to find a way to leave immediately after taking the treasure, before the Dark Lord destroys the world.
The only person who knows the type of the treasure’s portal is King Lagmamon, but unfortunately, he’s fallen into a deep sleep after helping Douglas and me escape last time.”
Locke summoned the Tree of Prosperity, which then used Mirror Replication to duplicate the Great Crying Peacock behind Locke into two. The second Great Crying Peacock, under Locke’s control, automatically landed behind Douglas.
This Great Crying Peacock’s banana leaf wings burned with a special dragon flame generated only by igniting golden spiritual energy, while its imaginary horns continuously fished for golden spiritual energy from the Imaginary Sea.
Douglas felt reassured. “Thank you, Boss Locke.”
The six-pointed star array atop the relic pillar suddenly opened, and two dimensional gravitational pulls landed on Locke and Douglas.
Locke’s face lit up with joy; he had guessed correctly.
This was a portal-type dimensional passage.
At that moment, Locke directly manipulated the two Great Crying Peasants to fly into it, disappearing into the dark world.
Upon witnessing this scene, the Dark Great Evil King’s pupils widened in shock. The sky of this world was almost entirely filled with his fists. In just 17 seconds, he could bury this world deep into the darkness, into the deepest layer of the Dark World, a terrifying region that even the dark creatures and the principles of the Dark World’s planes dared not tread.
“Damn it!”
The Dark Great Evil King’s Cloud Field and Cloud Rice within him were now a third destroyed. He had regained some mobility, but walked at a snail’s pace.
With a wave of his hand, the two giant dark fists that had appeared in the sky vanished.
The destruction of the world had stopped.
Since those wizards had all fled, there was no need for him to destroy this world. After all, for the Dark World, a world fallen into darkness was a treasure.
The dark spectators of the Dark World also seemed to have stopped their panic. They all laughed. The infamous Dark Great Evil King, who had buried countless worlds in the endless void, and who would never stop once he invaded another world, had actually suffered such a huge loss, and had even been tricked.
In the endless void, countless worlds had been invaded by the Dark Evil King, losing family, friends, and everything they knew, becoming slaves to darkness.
Yet now, the Dark Evil King could only watch helplessly as wizards from the same sorcerer faction moved freely before him.
This drew laughter from countless spectators in the dark world.
“You lot, have you been watching too much fun?”
The Dark Evil King suddenly raised his left hand, fully extended, palm open. A gigantic hand appeared before countless eyes in the dark sky, then clenched, causing countless spectators to scream in agony.
One after another, these spectators from the dark worlds were crushed in the Dark Evil King’s rage.
These demons and monsters were all destroyed.
The spectators were utterly terrified.
Only then did the Dark Evil King feel a sense of relief.
He wanted to kill more.
If he couldn’t kill those wizards, couldn’t he kill these native inhabitants of the dark world?
His brutality attracted the attention of beings deeper within the darkness. Above, behind the panicked eyes, several enormous eyes appeared. These eyes, residing in the deepest shadows, belonged to even more powerful dark lords observing the situation.
“Stop, Great Evil King. All demons and monsters have the right to watch the performance; this is a rule we agreed upon beforehand. You cannot kill the audience to vent your anger.”
“In the endless darkness, we can only watch for amusement.”
“The Dark World needs this grand performance to sustain itself. Do you want the deepest region of this world to suddenly expand and devour us all? That is true darkness.”
The Great Evil King of Darkness looked towards the deepest part of the Dark World.
“Then don’t stop me from waging war against Golden Crown Mountain!”
The largest eyes in the sky retreated, disappearing into the darkness.
Just then, a large, dark red eye suddenly appeared in the sky. Countless spectators seemed astonished by the arrival of this great being—a fourth-ring level being, a being from the deepest part of the Dark World.
The large, dark red eye first appeared as a black line behind the audience, then slowly opened, revealing its crimson pupil.
“Dark Great Evil King, as the Dark Lord, you must cease the war with the Wizarding World. The Black Sun Tower is attacking us again; they have built wizard towers throughout our world, seeking to enslave us once more.”
“We need to concentrate our forces, gather the power of all Dark Lords, and cease provoking the enemy.”
The Dark Great Evil King roared, “Absolutely not!”
The large, dark red eye seemed to have lost patience for further argument and vanished.
“Then you’d better watch yourself.”
The Dark Great Evil King, still unable to move, gazed into the depths of his Dark World kingdom. There, nine worlds were gradually merging into a line in the vast space of the Dark World.
However, of these nine worlds, only five were completely controlled by darkness; the other four had merely been drawn into the Dark World, not fully corrupted.
The sacrifice of worlds—this is what the Tower of the Black Sun brought to this world. After their retreat, most of the technological advancements they brought remained here.
The Dark World wasn’t always this powerful; it was only because the Tower of the Black Sun redesigned the world’s dimensional laws and monster system, and created the Dark Overlord, that this world’s civilization level far surpassed its predecessors, gaining the most powerful force in history.
The most important change brought by the Tower of the Black Sun was teaching them to sacrifice worlds to the Dark Great World to obtain the [Dark Echo]!
“To wage war against Golden Crown Mountain, I need to sacrifice even more worlds. Only by sacrificing nine medium-to-large-scale worlds at once can I receive the Dark World’s reward.”
“My power will reach a new level. Great Dark Great World, grant me even greater darkness.”
“Come.”
One wave of darkness after another merged into his body.
…
Inside the secret treasure space, Locke and Douglas entered. Both breathed a sigh of relief. At this moment, the Great Crying Dragon Sparrow behind Douglas began to distort and blur at its edges, and then the Great Crying Dragon Sparrow completely disappeared.
Douglas bent over and began to gag, covering his mouth.
Locke tossed him a bottle of Holy Spring Dew potion.
“This is my homemade potion, drink it. Your soul was affected by the dark power of the Dark Lord, so it might have some effect on you.”
Douglas drank the Holy Spring Dew potion.
“Thank you, boss.”
Douglas looked around and found that the space was filled with lightning. They were enveloped by a ball of lightning, and beneath their feet was a floating island in mid-air.
Many of the lightning bolts seemed to have a physical form, frozen in mid-air, with many large skulls that were clearly not human or elf-like creatures on them.
Douglas walked over and bent down to examine the skulls closely.
“They look like the skulls of some kind of orc, but they are much larger than any known orc skulls, but these are definitely some kind of orc skulls.”
“These skulls seem to have been hung here as spoils of war. In the past… were these orcs very powerful?”
Locke noticed many ancient magical plants on the solid lightning suspension.
However, many of the magical plants were already rotten inside and had lost all their vitality.
So Locke didn’t touch them, but instead used archaeological magic to preserve them.
At the same time, Locke took out the prepared tools, intending to have Douglas and him first make specimens of these ancient magical plants before taking them out for closer study.
Douglas ran to the lightning bolt in the very center of the vault, a bolt held in the hand of a giant dragon statue. He swallowed hard, turning to look at Locke with a tentative and questioning look in his eyes.
Locke glanced at it and said, “That’s a magical inheritance, right? Accept the inheritance. I’m not a wizard of the Evocation school, so this is useless to me, and besides, this was originally the Witch King’s intention.”
Douglas was immediately overjoyed.
He quickly followed the Witch King Lagmamon’s instructions, cutting his finger and dripping a drop of his blood into it.
As his blood fell in, the entire lightning bolt instantly turned crimson.
This red lightning bolt continuously released sparks.
Douglas looked up expectantly at the inherited lightning bolt.
According to the Witch King Lagmamon, this was the secret realm of the Lightning Gate’s inheritance. Only wizards qualified to receive the inheritance would have their hidden power bestowed upon them by dripping their own blood into the lightning; otherwise, it would unleash a bolt of lightning to destroy them.
Douglas felt uneasy.
Did he meet the requirements?
The next moment, a massive red lightning bolt burst forth from the inheritance lightning, piercing his heart like a thunder dragon.
Douglas screamed in agony and was sent flying. Instantly, the lightning in the sky above this inheritance site began to swirl, dark clouds gathered, and thunder roared.
“No, this energy…”
Douglas felt an abnormally violent energy seemingly destroying his body, his bloodline, his soul, his spirit, and his mind.
Douglas stared wide-eyed in disbelief.
“Could it be that I’m not of royal blood from the ancient magical kingdom, so I’m not qualified to receive the magical inheritance at all? No! I don’t believe it.”
Douglas gritted his teeth, trying to stand up.
Just then, he suddenly heard the voice of the Witch King Lagmamon, which hadn’t been heard for a long time.
“Don’t panic, Douglas. You’re always like this, easily agitated and hot-blooded when faced with danger. This is your strength, but also a weakness you need to overcome.”
Douglas exclaimed in surprise, “Teacher! You’ve recovered!”
King Lagmamon said, “Douglas, listen to me. This is the normal magical inheritance of the Lightning Gate. But the magical inheritance of my Lightning Gate requires bearing an immense magical burden when received. If you can’t bear it, you will die. Many inheritors in the past have died at this stage. Because our magical inheritance is carried by a special kind of lightning—the Warhammer Lightning.” “
That’s a special kind of magical lightning, generated only in special worlds, and requiring a hundred years of magical modification and gestation.”
Douglas knelt on one knee, a fatal pain assaulting him; every cell in his body was bearing the pressure of the Warhammer Lightning.
King Lagmamon’s voice echoed in his ears.
“But if you can withstand this, you’ll gain the right to use Warhammer Lightning.”
“Warhammer Lightning is a special magical lightning, a magical artifact created by wizards through the Lightning Gate over centuries of design and cultivation. It’s both energy and a magical weapon; it belongs to the category of energy magical weapons.”
“Douglas, if you can withstand this, you’ll gain the right to use Warhammer Lightning.”
Douglas was drenched in cold sweat.
“Teacher, what is the mortality rate?”
King Lagmamon was silent for a moment before replying, “About one in ten. I mean, one in ten chance of survival. This is a simple ratio we calculated based on the number of deaths and survivals of the Lightning Gate’s inheritors. But they themselves have already received years of special magical training, and their bodies have absorbed various special magical resources that increase their chances of surviving the energy of the warhammer’s lightning. Therefore, their mortality rate is not the same as yours.”
King Lagmamon continued, “At the time, I had other magical inheritances available. I asked if you wanted to switch to something easier to learn, but one that you might only be able to reach the first level of wizardry. You said you wanted to learn the magical inheritance of our Lightning Gate, but the magic of ancient renowned magical schools all possess a high degree of selectivity, and this selectivity sometimes requires a wizard to pay with their life…”
“Douglas, the Warhammer Lightning hasn’t fully fused into your cells yet. If that’s the case, I still have a way to extract it from your cells. Do you want to stop?”
Douglas whispered, “If I stop now, what will happen to you, Master? Will I still… have a chance to advance to a second-circle wizard?”
King Lagmamon said, “With your talent, you’re only considered average. Such talent would be considered genius among lower-level wizards. You could become a first-circle wizard around forty, and a liquefied wizard by a hundred, with even better luck, a crystallized wizard.”
“But you’re still quite far from becoming a second-circle wizard. You might not be able to cross that threshold of breaking through the racial limit for the second time. After all, even if you were a crystallized wizard, by your hundred-year-old self, your vigor would have faded, your accumulation would be insufficient, your resources would be lacking… and then you would have to face the decline of your soul.”
“However, our Five Elements Reversal can help you improve your aptitude, increase your magic pressure accumulation speed, and even reduce the difficulty of your advancement when necessary. But the price is that you need to absorb the Five Thunders into your permanent defensive field to make up for the deficiencies. There are two difficulties. The Five Thunders in the Lightning Gate School are extremely rare. With your status, you would have been unable to obtain them in ancient times, but you only have a slight chance in modern times.”
“Secondly, another difficulty is that your body has not been immersed in magical potions since childhood and has not been cursed by a powerful witch to enhance your adaptability in this area. Therefore, every time you absorb the Five Thunders, it is a life-or-death crisis for you. This time is your first attempt to absorb the official Five Thunders. Warhammer Lightning is the Golden Thunder among the Five Thunders.”
“However, Warhammer Lightning consumes a lot of life force. It takes a lot of life force to withstand this kind of lightning. Although I intentionally let you use some magical resources to increase your life energy after you became a formal wizard, and thanks to your ability to stay on Golden Crown Mountain for a long time, I taught you some tricks to increase your life energy.”
“But I can’t be sure if the quality of your life energy right now can withstand this kind of consumption… after all, you weren’t given any spells to increase your resistance from childhood.”
“However, without taking this path, with your original aptitude, becoming a second-circle wizard would be incredibly difficult.”
Douglas was already considering giving up. He
felt as if his life was being snapped by a warhammer lightning bolt; his life force was like a candle flame, about to be extinguished.
He felt fear.
Although his talent was average, he wasn’t without hope of becoming a second-circle wizard; it was incredibly difficult, but that was only a temporary measure.
The Witch-King Lagmamon said, “After I separate you from the warhammer lightning, it will probably exhaust all my spiritual light, and I may fall into an eternal slumber. I don’t know what will happen.”
Douglas gritted his teeth. “Then, Master, I will continue…”
The Witch-King Lagmamon looked at Wizard Douglas with surprise.
“You…”
Lagmamon’s voice held a hint of relief, but he quickly rebuked him, “As a wizard, you are far too sentimental. Is preventing me from falling into slumber more important than your chance to advance to a second-circle wizard?”
“Let me make this clear first: even if you survive this near-death experience, you are not guaranteed to become a second-circle wizard; you only gain the potential. You still need to strive and work hard.”
Wizard Douglas gritted his teeth, his body crackling with crimson lightning that formed a red hammer behind him.
He staggered a few steps.
“I’ve made up my mind. I don’t want to separate the magical energy—Warhammer Lightning.”
Lagmamon’s voice was filled with a bitter laugh.
“You child… well, there’s nothing wrong with a wizard being a little sentimental. Sensibility is a way of understanding the world and an experience and feeling. Those wizards who completely abandon their sentimentality and are hostile to their own sentimental side don’t seem to have reached the final step.”
“So when I first met you, I commented that you didn’t have any wizarding talent. Perhaps that statement was wrong.”
Locke glanced at Douglas. Since becoming a Star Ring Wizard, his perception of spiritual energy and spiritual power had become much stronger. Furthermore, the Lagmamon Wizard King showed no sign of wariness towards him, so he had overheard almost their entire conversation, no longer needing to glean fragments and decipher their meaning as before.
Locke began examining the ancient magical plants.
“It seems the Lagmamon Wizard King can handle Douglas’s situation, and he can manage it himself. I’ll spend a little more time preserving these ancient magical plants as specimens.”
In this treasure trove, many magic boxes remained on the solidified lightning frames, containing numerous magical artifacts and resources, though most were unusable due to the passage of time and improper preservation.
He wasn’t particularly interested in the magic scrolls and spellbooks from the Lightning Gate.
He was only interested in the magical plants within this ruin.
“This is…”
Locke saw a pagoda-shaped cauliflower on a frozen lightning bolt. It was still alive, though most of it was blackened, seemingly withered and dead. The remaining leaves were curled at the edges, drooping, as if they too would wither and die at any moment.
Locke noticed it was placed within a magic array.
The magic crystals on this array had all exhausted their energy and were shattered, clearly indicating that the array had protected this magical plant, allowing it to survive until now.
“Star Ring level magic pressure, and even higher than mine! What level of magical plant would this complete form be?”
Locke was stunned.
He easily reached out, past the magic array, and touched the cauliflower.
A terrifying magical pressure instantly emanated from the plant’s surface, pushing Locke back slightly.
The cauliflower-like magical plant resembled several towers stacked together, forming a unique fortress. While the other tower-like cauliflower sections had withered and died, only the smallest, outermost tower-like cauliflower head retained a sliver of life, albeit in very poor condition.
Locke said, “This pagoda-shaped cauliflower possesses such powerful magical pressure. Even with the protection of a special magical array, some parts have survived after so long, indicating this magical plant is extraordinary. Today, I will take this magical plant.”
Locke reached out a second time, this time his magical pressure clashing with the plant. Behind him appeared a golden tree under the moon—the Moon of Evolution and the Tree of Prosperity.
Locke’s magical pressure collided violently with the cauliflower, a powerful wind of magical pressure sweeping outwards, blowing many items from the solid lightning.
Despite this, he still couldn’t get close to the cauliflower.
For some reason, the cauliflower was resisting his approach with all its might.
“Strange, where did the Lightning Gate of the Age of Stars obtain this magical plant?”
Locke noticed that the plant’s vitality was waning again as it resisted his approach.
“If this continues, it will burn away all its remaining life force the moment I touch it.”
“If you don’t come with me, you will wither and die. Only by leaving with me can I replant you and restore your vitality,”
Locke said, frowning.
The next moment, the magical pressure wind that had been blocking his hand from moving forward vanished, leaving a magical pressure shell.
Locke’s hand touched the magical plant, and in an instant, they established a magical connection. As Locke’s magical pressure flowed into the plant, the remaining intact parts of it gradually began to regain vitality, attempting to absorb energy from Locke to restore the life of its last flower ball.
Locke said, “Strange. It resisted my approach so much before, but now it’s actively forming a magical bond with me. Wait, there’s a problem. Shouldn’t botanical wizards from the Age of Stars not have a magical bond with magical plants? Otherwise, the one I encountered before who used the Five-Snake Python Vine wouldn’t have had a magical bond with him. But this magical plant has formed a magical bond with me, and it was it that initiated it.”
A look of doubt appeared in Locke’s eyes .
“Why? Can botanical wizards from the Age of Stars really form a magical bond with magical plants?”
A voice appeared in Locke’s ear.
“Ah, of course there’s no magical grafting relationship. Although I’m not entirely clear on what magical grafting relationships mean to you modern wizards, I’m quite certain it’s not a magical grafting relationship, but a soul binding relationship. In the Age of Stars, there was a magical plant that could be bound to a wizard; it was called a spirit plant.”
“A wizard can only be bound to one spirit plant at a time. As you can see, just as there are many magical techniques in the modern magical age that didn’t exist in the Age of Stars, there are also many things from the Age of Stars that have been lost in the modern magical age, such as energy artifacts and spirit plants,”
the Wizard King Lagmamon explained.
Locke nodded. This was probably because these things themselves had some kind of huge flaw, so over time, no one learned them, and then the techniques were lost to posterity.
The Witch-King of Lagmamen said, “This is Pagoda Broccoli. A wizard from the Lightning Gate found it on the battlefield of the Orcish Great World. But at that time, this magical plant was already damaged, with only Moon Ring-level magical pressure. We recognized it as a spirit plant then, so even though no one would use it, we still sensed its value and preserved it.”
“No one knows its name, only that it’s a spirit plant that can bind to a wizard’s soul. However, it seems it was once bound to a wizard’s soul. By the way, we named it ‘Pagoda Broccoli’.”
Locke was stunned. It was already damaged back then?
And after such a long time, a part of it was still alive.
At this moment, in Locke’s eyes, this magical plant was full of mystery.
‘Crack~’
As the spirit plant completed its soul binding with him, the intact part of the magical plant suddenly broke off from the withered parts. Then, the remaining pagoda-shaped broccoli flower head suddenly fell off, revealing a small root at the bottom.
Locke realized the demonic plant was trying to survive by severing its tail, but now that it was separated from its main body, it had no imaginary roots, so its magic pressure was constantly decreasing. Locke had no choice but to immediately pluck a small section of ordinary imaginary root from beneath a second-ringed Sea Gold Sand plant and graft it onto this demonic plant.
Even so, the demonic plant’s magic pressure was still decreasing, only at a slower rate.
Locke summoned the Great Glazed Winter Green Plum, activating the demonic plant. Streams of icy plum blossoms fell onto the pagoda-shaped broccoli, using the winter magic power stored within to freeze it and slow the rate of decrease in its magic pressure.
“That was close,” Locke said.
Fortunately, he still had some tricks up his sleeve; otherwise, even if he had obtained an ancient treasure demonic plant, he would have had to watch it drop in level or even wither and die.
Locke looked towards the very center of this hidden inheritance site, at an area with a peach tree.
It was the same peach tree with world leaves he had seen in the small world of the Dark World.
But now, the peach tree seemed lifeless, a withered tree.
Clearly, he had misjudged it; the peach tree wasn’t in the center of that small world, but in this inheritance site.
However, this inheritance site was obviously also a demiplane of that world, so when the world leaves in its crown were activated, he mistakenly thought the peach tree was in the center of this world. Of course, he had suspected this before.
The Witch King Lagmamon said, “It was this tree that protected this place. But the peach tree’s life has also vanished.”
Locke stretched out his hand, and instantly a bright green light shone from the crown. The peach tree transformed into countless spirits, swirling around him, bidding him farewell. Then these spirits entered the Emerald Dream, while the world leaves from its crown drifted into his palm.
This World Leaf emitted a faint magical glow.
King Lagmamon asked疑惑地问道, “What is this?”
Locke inquired, “King, this is the treasure trove of your Lightning Gate. Don’t you know its origin?”
King Lagmamon replied, “In my memory, this leaf isn’t among our treasures. But I do remember that peach tree. A skilled witch used plant magic to leave it here to guard the barrier.” “But for some
reason, a leaf fell onto the peach tree, which is at the center of the barrier. This leaf is a later addition.” “
But that shouldn’t be. Since the barrier wasn’t destroyed, and there are no signs of outsiders entering, how did it get here? Did it float in by itself? That’s too… impossible.”
Locke lowered his head, pondering. Something was wrong.
He combined this with what he had seen before about the secrets of creation; the wizards of the Age of Stars likely couldn’t access the knowledge of the secrets of creation in the void. However, considering the Force waves he had glimpsed in the Secret of Creation through advanced meditation as a first-ring wizard, it’s highly likely that the World Leaf also scattered throughout the void like a Force Flood.
If a Force Flood delivered these World Leaves, it could potentially reach any location in the endless void. Naturally, it might have passed through the barrier, sending a World Leaf to that peach tree, causing the peach tree to strengthen the barrier and preventing this space from being swallowed by the Dark World.
Locke chanted a spell, activating his modified version of the Twin Branches spell model. The World Leaf in his hand automatically floated up, releasing bolts of lightning. These bolts then connected with the bloodline of Locke’s Three-Eyed Tiger Cat, their energies intertwined. The World Leaf then disappeared from Locke’s palm, completely entering the Three-Eyed Tiger Cat’s bloodline.
Locke used the Twin Branches spell model to combine the bloodline of the Three-Eyed Tiger Cat with the power of this World Leaf. His Three-Eyed Tiger Cat bloodline surged, its power increasing, and a star ring bearing a cat paw print appeared beneath Locke’s feet.
“Finally, I got the third one…”
