Chapter 970
Chapter 970
Chapter 964 Rose, you’re actually a Star Ring Wizard!
Rose the witch left the Silver Peach Garden, her expression grim. In her eyes, Terence the wizard’s refusal was utterly irrational.
A fierce glint flashed in Rose’s eyes.
“Joshua, didn’t you say he was a smart man? You made me come all this way for nothing. Come on, let’s go see the head of the weapons department of the White Wizard Association along the Tianjiang River. I have a meeting with him this afternoon.”
“So foolish, he’s my enemy. Nothing more to say.”
Wizard Joshua adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, a book in his hand, and followed.
Rose led Wizard Joshua towards the White Wizard Association’s branch headquarters along the Tianjiang River. That afternoon, the two arrived at the White Wizard Association’s branch area along the Tianjiang River. In the waiting room, Rose saw Wizard Terence, as well as the heads of the other two large weapon-selling shop alliances along the Tianjiang River.
These were the Angela Shop Alliance, primarily selling golem war tools, and the Hundred Magic Scrolls Shop Alliance, mainly selling magic scrolls.
Angela originated locally, while Hundred Magic Scrolls came from the Razer Lowlands, also a century-old brand, but in a better position than Silver Peach Garden. This was because the latter was backed by a super-large chain shop alliance with shops in various locations, even in Cloud Marsh Wetlands. They only lacked branches near Golden Crown Mountain and the Rose Council Academy, as these two wizarding universities wanted to protect their own students and legitimate wizards’ magic scroll shops, and thus had managed to drive Hundred Magic Scrolls away.
Witch Rose narrowed her eyes, her expression unfriendly, realizing she had been tricked by officials from this lower-level wizarding land’s White Wizarding Association.
They had agreed to discuss long-term cooperation between [Olayer] and all the wizards along the Tianjiang River in external wars, but instead of a private meeting, so many people had been brought along.
Besides these, there are also the six best wizarding academies along the Tianjiang River, all of which are considered large-scale wizarding academies in the Tianjiang River region. Of course, these are only mid-level wizarding academies in Yunze Wetlands, and might even be inferior.
They are two wizarding academies specializing in water magic, [Wave Crocodile Bay] and [Tide Great Wizard Tower]; one specializing in alchemy and old textiles, with its main strength being the third-level discipline of Magic Umbrella Science, [Sunlit Umbrella Garden]; two specializing in wetland breeding, [Joseph Reed House] and [Dalton Woodland]; and one focusing on ice magic, wind magic, and Magic Umbrella Science, [White Ice Tower].
Witch Rose’s expression was unfriendly, because these six wizarding academies were the best along the Tianjiang River, and Reed House and Dalton Woodland were her main future target clients.
Now, by calling on four top shops in the Tianjiang River region and six top wizarding universities, she was clearly preparing for a public bidding process.
Soon, the staff of the White Wizarding Association organized a meeting, which turned out to be an open bidding process.
The White Wizarding Association along the Tianjiang River was attacking a medium-to-large-scale world, and therefore needed a large number of weapons, not only those related to magical plants, but also weapons from other fields, and even a range of consumables for war purposes. Anything useful to them was needed.
Therefore, this was a public tender with a full one hundred pages of documents.
After the meeting, Wizard Joshua quickly rose to speak with the chief wizarding mentors from Joseph’s Reed House and Dalton Woods, attempting to cultivate a relationship between them.
Meanwhile, Witch Rose went directly to the highest-ranking staff member there, and said unhappily, “I want to see Witch Fla.”
The staff member paused, recognizing Witch Rose as someone with a close relationship with the Star Ring Wizarding Association’s leader, Raffaele, and a high-ranking figure from Cloudze Wetlands. He immediately bowed and asked her to come with him.
Rose the Witch followed him through a large door, then they turned into a corridor that led to a dead end. Hanging in the dead end was an unfinished painting.
The painting resembled a world map, most of the area transformed into seas of fire, lava, and desert. Some marked areas clearly showed wizard outposts.
Rose the Witch’s eyes flickered. “A world invaded by the Hell of Bathor.”
“So that’s it. The armies you’re fighting aren’t the natives, but the armies of Hell.”
“No wonder you’re gathering the entire Wizarding Lands’ power.”
Rose the Witch looked up at the sky above the unfinished map, where she saw the silhouettes of leaders of a group of Hellish demon legions, their claws reaching towards this world.
The staff member gestured for them to proceed.
He then adjusted his wizard’s hat and walked directly towards the painting at the end of the corridor, passing right through it. Rose the Witch followed.
The two passed through the painting.
Then, Rose the Witch caught a faint smell of sulfur in the air. The sky in this world was still blue, but overall dark, indicating that this world had been severely corrupted by the planes of hell.
Rose the Witch looked at a circle of light at her feet and breathed a sigh of relief. It was clearly a safe zone created by wizards along the Tianjiang River, filled with the planes of the wizarding world.
She saw two groups of transformed lesser hellish creatures fighting outside the safe zone. Both sides were probably originally humans, but now they had been transformed into some kind of monster, and were engaged in fierce combat. However, this safe zone was covered by the [Mortal Retreat] barrier of the Protection School.
Therefore, no one except wizards could enter. Furthermore
, she noticed that although the two groups of hellish creatures were fighting fiercely nearby, their battle was unable to reach inside the safe zone.
At this moment, a girl with pink hair stood at the edge of the safe zone, watching the battle between the two groups of hellish creatures.
She had her back to Rose the Witch, but she could sense Rose’s displeasure.
“Rose, my friend, I heard you were looking for me. I know what you want to say, but please understand my predicament.”
The witch [Fura] turned, revealing a delicate, youthful face, despite being over four hundred years old. She whispered to the witch Rose, “Our wizarding lands along the Tianjiang River are actually very poor. We have few magical resources; the magical resources within the wizarding lands are extremely scarce. Fortunately, we have the resources of the Tianhan River. The fishing and hunting resources obtained through the Tianhan River each year provide us wizards with a stable supply of magical resources.”
“However, our Tianjiang River is a long and narrow stretch, a wizarding land that exists solely for the safety of the Starfield Sea’s waterway. We are like an insignificant scrap, extremely long and narrow on both sides, bordering more than a dozen wizarding lands, protecting this Tianhan River waterway.”
“Therefore, we don’t have much money, and we must use it sparingly. So, we can only try to find the magical weapons we need most right now through open bidding. Please forgive me, although we are friends, in this respect, I am the one who needs help.”
“We’re not wealthy, so public funds need to be used wisely. Silver Peach Garden used to be a shop of the Red Dragon Throne, and now I hear it’s managed by a great wizard named Locke Augustine. I can’t possibly pass up the opportunity to cooperate with him. Unless it ultimately proves that cooperating with him is far less cost-effective than cooperating with you, Rose.”
Rose’s anger had largely subsided. She was someone who responded better to gentle persuasion than force, and clearly, Fula had mastered the secret to dealing with her.
Fula, the association president, said, “Rose, we finally found a medium-to-large-scale world that no one has explored before, and we were about to enter it to mine resources. It’s just a pity that this world has been invaded by the Hell of Bathor. The former king of this world was deceived by demons, mortgaging his country and world to the Hell of Bathor for his own immortality, and the Hell of Bathor is here to reclaim their assets.”
Rose pondered for a moment, then said, “But this king is clearly not the master of this world. The acquisition by the Hell of Bathor is exceptionally crude and rude.”
Fula chuckled softly, “But the king of this world clearly believes he is qualified…” He possessed the entire world; though he was merely one person, he could possess all the land and water. Every sip of water and every breath of air that people drank on this land consumed the resources given to them by the king, thus the people of this world owed their king. At least, that’s what the king himself thought. But in the end, he didn’t even safeguard his wealth; he used it to trade with the demons for immortality.
The Guild Master Fura walked to the right, a blue, umbrella-shaped star ring appearing behind her. She opened an umbrella in her arms, placed the handle inside, and gently twirled it.
The Witch Rose followed behind her, walking along the [Mortal Retreat] barrier. This safe zone extended into the wilderness of this world, reaching a settlement of human native tents.
The two stood before an unassuming tent. The Witch Fura opened the tent, revealing an old man, incredibly aged but still unable to die.
The Witch Rose raised an eyebrow.
“So this mortal made a deal with the demon? Doesn’t he know that the demons of hell are masters of manipulating contracts and agreements? When making a deal with them, you have to carefully read every contract. This only granted him immortality, not eternal youth, didn’t it?”
The old man stirred, as if he heard the witch Rose’s voice.
The witch Rose said calmly, “As long as you reasonably avoid the demons’ linguistic traps before making a deal, it’s not impossible to do business with them.”
The witch Fura smiled and said, “Now this king consumes very few resources every day; possessing the world and the kingdom means nothing to him. He regrets his deal with the demon. Therefore, he sent his royal sorcerers to contact others, wanting to make a new deal. So, he came to us. He wants to trade the world to us in exchange for ending his life or restoring his youth.”
The witch Rose remained expressionless. “Impossible. This deal is unreasonable. He doesn’t own the world. It’s impossible to sign a formal contract with him under the Eye of Truth’s certification,”
said the Fura Association President. “Of course, we won’t agree to such an absurd deal. Therefore, we’ve reached numerous agreements with these remaining human resistance forces. We don’t want the entire world; we only want the development rights to all the minerals in this world after we help them drive out the Hell Demons. In addition, we want the unpaid recruitment of people with specific talents from this world.”
“The people, the minerals, and other resources will belong to us, but this world will still belong to the mortals of this world.”
“Besides, I have already devised a plan for this world to become a secondary civilization subordinate to our wizarding civilization within fifty years. Therefore, in the first fifty years, this world will contribute a large number of excellent students, precious magical ores, magical creatures, and magical plant materials to the Tianjiang Riverbank. In the latter fifty years, the extensive construction of this world will continue to provide us with sustained economic value. Then, two hundred years later, there will be a huge market for magical products. Resources such as magic umbrellas from the Tianjiang Riverbank will have a place to be dumped.”
The witch Rose’s expression remained unchanged, because this was just a complete set of key resource development monopolies and talent monopolies in the early stages, followed by market dumping in the later stages.
Compared to dragging the entire world into hell and annihilating all of humanity, the appearance of wizards was actually a great help to this world.
However, in the witch Rose’s eyes, this approach was unsustainable because it was too crude. The initial investment was too large, and it was easy to arouse resentment and hostility from the local society in the later stages. It was a lose-lose situation, and such practices were no longer common in the Yunze Wetlands.
But obviously, the information on the Tianjiang Riverbank was more backward, and there was less relevant experience.
President Fula said, “Unfortunately, there’s still a problem: we need to repel the Batonian demons who are located here. They’ve deployed four demon lords.”
The witch Rose was somewhat incredulous, as demon lords were at least Star Ring level in strength, and the enemy had already deployed four in this world…
President Fula continued, “Besides that, there are also a large number of Hell’s subordinate legions here—the hellish creatures from those worlds corrupted by Batonian Hell and reduced to its subordinate realms. Therefore, eliminating them will be a daunting task, but with this old king here, we might be able to prove that this world doesn’t belong to Hell at all. This is a difficult battle, so we need a large number of excellent magical weapons. Do you understand me now?”
At this moment, the old, immortal king mumbled, “Water…I want water…give me water to drink, water…”
The witch Rose said, “Even so, I still want some business privileges, Fula.”
The witch Fula was silent for a moment, then said, “Of course.”
“I have already prepared a batch of special preferential policies for you.”
“In this way, your magical plant weapon will definitely outperform Silver Peach Garden in terms of cost-effectiveness. This is also for the sake of our friendship, and to thank you for providing me with the information about the gathering that could give me a chance to advance to the Moon Ring Wizard level.”
Witch Rose smiled with satisfaction.
Witch Rose said, “Then thank you very much. I just saw someone forging a magical umbrella frame in this human camp. Ah, you want to transfer some magical umbrella technology into this world. That’s normal, after all, deciding what disciplines the world being affected will primarily study is your privilege.”
Witch Fura curled her lips.
“This is also why we want to enter this world and drive out the demons of Bathor Hell. This world can at least establish more than ten advanced wizarding academies and about ten thousand junior academies. Of course, we need to make some efforts to restore the population.”
Witch Fura said, “But I still value you more, Rose. After all, you and I are the main collaborators. Now…”
Suddenly, her feet shook, and the magical pressure of the entire safe zone vibrated rapidly, while several magical pressures above the star ring appeared.
The two of them looked at the magically painted wall in the center of the safe zone.
This safety zone utilizes the dimensional principles of the Tianjiang River basin. Why is so much magical pressure at the Star Ring level or higher falling into the Tianjiang River basin at this moment, and why is it appearing so suddenly?
The Witch Rose looked at Association President Fura.
“This feeling is the power of the abyss. Could it be that the Bottomless Abyss has violated the agreement and attacked?”
President Fura said, “I don’t know. We need to get back as soon as possible.”
…
At Mount Golden Crown, Locke heard that the wizard Trajan’s avatar had arrived and was about to get up to leave, but the next moment his eyes flickered, and he looked into the distance.
The location his avatar had returned to through that dimensional portal was actually the shore of the Tianjiang River.
Trajan entered the living room. “Why not get a better dormitory? You should have tens of millions of magic stones at your disposal now. Junior brother, a Star Ring Wizard like you could probably get a better house. With tens of millions of magic stones, you could buy one or two houses with permanent ownership on Golden Crown Mountain.”
“I should be able to afford a house of about 40 square meters.”
“If I rent, I can live in a bigger and better house.”
Locke laughed, “The cost-effectiveness is not as good as this suite on the mountainside that the True Knowledge Academy provided for me.”
Trajan said, “That’s true. Locke, shall we go? I noticed your attention isn’t here. Is something wrong? Is it something about the Tianjiang River? Or something about the wizarding lands of Dragonfall?” Locke
said, “No, senior brother, I have no problem with either. You can take me to the key laboratory on Golden Crown Mountain now. I’m quite curious.”
As one of the most important core assets of the wizarding world, he wondered what the key agricultural laboratory on Golden Crown Mountain looked like.
Trajan glanced at Locke and said, “Then come with me. We have quite a lot to do today.”
Locke followed Trajan, his attention focused on the Tianjiang River.
The moment his Ancient Tree Fruit clone, carrying Douglas and the Lagmamon Witch King, left the 21st Abyss Plane ruled by the Red Orc Demon King and entered the Tianjiang River, a Star Ring-level demon projected by the Dark Evil King and a Star Ring-level bewitching demon projected by the Supreme Bewitching Demon immediately attacked the three of them.
The Star Ring-level bewitching demon projected a mental disintegration gaze at Locke and the others, while the Star Ring-level demon unleashed a mental shockwave.
The two forces collided: one a blazing white gaze, the other a dark, fluctuating mental shockwave.
In an instant, Douglas’s permanent defensive field was destroyed by the aftershocks, and the body created by the Lagmamon Wizard King using Douglas’s blood vanished in the face of the combined forces.
White vision and dark fluctuations intertwined like two long rivers.
Above the Tianjiang River, an eye appeared in the shadow cast by the mountains on the earth—the eye peering from the darkness was the eye of the Dark Evil King.
The Dark Evil King looked maliciously at Locke, caught in the crossfire of the two forces.
“Wizard, all darkness is my gateway. Whether you move through the endless abyss, the wizarding world, or the dark world, I see it all.”
“You think you can escape me by leaving my sight? How naive.”
Because of the conflict between the Dark World and the underlying forces of the abyss, although he could see all of Locke’s actions through the darkness within the abyss, he could not interfere with Locke within the abyss, nor could he even channel his power into it.
But the moment Locke left the abyss and entered the wizarding world was the moment he could strike, catching Locke off guard.
Entering the wizarding world from the Dark World was relatively easier, although it still required a sacrifice.
But he had already paid a heavy price beforehand, luring a disillusioned old wizard here, awakening the darkness within him, and causing him to summon a being with a star ring.
The Dark Evil King extended his demonic claws from the darkness, enveloping the old crystallized wizard’s head.
“Yes, that’s it. I will simultaneously inject the Dark Echoes of three intermediate worlds that have fallen into the Dark World into your body. This is your power, forever your power. As long as you don’t die. You will become a second-ring wizard… a true second-ring wizard.”
“Let me summon the second and third Star-ring level demons and monsters.”
“Give me… give me more darkness, I want more darkness in your heart. This little bit of darkness is far too thin. I want more darkness. Isn’t the power I’ve given you enough?”
Three worlds appeared behind the Dark Great Evil King, forming a three-star alignment, connecting in a line in the infinite dark space. Then, a stream of energy was injected into the crystallized wizard’s body.
The old crystallized wizard’s eyes were resolute. “Why am I always rejected when I apply for a formal wizard instructor position!”
“Tide Wizard Tower, I am so disappointed in you!”
The old crystallized wizard’s eyes were confused, but the next moment, he became determined.
“Native, if you can make me a second-circle wizard, I can do some business with you.”
If he could become a second-circle wizard, he could simply hide away after this incident to avoid the limelight, or temporarily join the dark wizards, then move to another wizarding community, clean up his identity, and apply for a teaching position.
Unless it was a particularly prestigious wizarding university, information wouldn’t be shared.
This wizard’s eyes were greedy; he was completely blinded by the prospect of advancement, determined to seize this opportunity that seemed to have fallen from the sky.
Of course, he wouldn’t know that the Dark Great Evil King, as a third-ring being, possessed the faint ability to sense the size of the dark space within the hearts of all living beings. Therefore, this wasn’t an opportunity that fell from the sky, but one he deliberately chose.
Along the entire Tianjiang River, he wasn’t the worst-off wizard, but he was the most easily turned and the most unprincipled.
A heart-shaped darkness automatically flew towards the Dark Great Evil King.
The Dark Great Evil King grasped that heart-shaped darkness; it was a heart that grew from darkness, and a living heart could continuously generate new dark spaces.
At this moment, the Dark Great Evil King was also taken aback when he looked at the Star Ring-level Eye Demon who had been lying in ambush there. He was very puzzled; Locke had only gone to the Abyss, so how come an Eye Demon was already lying in wait to ambush him?
At this moment, amidst the Eye Demon’s mind-shattering vision and the dark mental impact of the Star Ring demons, a sound like a phoenix’s cry rang out, followed by a Great Crying Dragon Sparrow leaping out from between two streams of power.
The Star-Ringed Beholder was as massive as a mountain range, its interior seemingly composed of two concentric circles, resembling a virus or bacterium floating in mid-air. It possessed a gigantic eye in the center, and behind it floated speckled star rings, like the patterns of a germ.
This Star-Ringed Beholder was puzzled by the presence of the obstructive dark creature. Its simultaneous attack might actually weaken its Mind-Shattering Vision.
At that moment, Locke, carrying Douglas, flew out from within.
A smile played on his lips, seemingly unfazed by the situation.
While Locke wasn’t certain he’d be ambushed the moment he returned to the Wizarding World from the Abyss, he had already anticipated the Dark Lord might follow.
However, this was the Wizarding World.
Therefore, he had no need to fear it. Even
his true form couldn’t enter the Wizarding World.
As for the Beholder, it was slightly unexpected. Locke pondered for a moment and understood why this Star-Ringed Beholder had appeared here and attacked him.
It was probably because of the Supreme Beholder.
Betrayal and rebellion are almost ubiquitous in the Abyss. If members of the same demon race become too powerful, it triggers a massive conflict—a conflict so intense it could mean the fall of an ancient demon king and a complete reshuffling of power within a layer of the Abyss.
Therefore, upon sensing the threat he posed, the Supreme Eye Demon would naturally send someone to kill him immediately.
However, this wouldn’t be a major problem.
In the Abyss, strength is paramount. If his fist is strong enough, the Supreme Eye Demon will quickly realize that hunting him down and making him his enemy will only further harm his interests.
Therefore, if he can immediately kill this Star Ring-level Eye Demon, the latter will likely abandon his targeting and pretend he doesn’t exist.
Locke could still vaguely sense the Supreme Eye Demon’s gaze fixed on them.
In the darkness, the Dark Great Evil King’s eyes emitted a sinister grin.
“You’re not dead. It seems you’ve grown stronger in the abyss.”
“We meet again, heh heh, wizard, did you think you could escape my pursuit?”
The Dark Evil King crushed a heart-shaped mass of darkness in his hand. The next moment, the darkness shattered, and a shadowy area appeared beneath Locke’s feet.
For a moment, Locke experienced that dizzying illusion for the third time—an illusion of the world spinning, the Dark Evil King’s signature act, his dark shadow play. Locke could even see the world reversing, the darkness overturning, and the demons and monsters in the dark world, the ‘audience,’ looking on with anticipation, ready for another spectacle. This
has been truly interesting lately.
This is the third time the Dark Evil King has used this trick on the same wizard, hasn’t it?
The spectators in the darkness laughed again and again.
But the next moment, the overturned world, halfway through its rotation, suddenly couldn’t continue and gradually began to reverse.
Three star rings appeared behind Locke: one representing the ouroboros, the ring of the abyssal dragon; one representing the paw of the three-eyed tiger cat; and one representing two extremely powerful spells. The three star rings overlapped and continued to expand.
This caused Locke, who had previously resembled a vessel encased in a bowl, to suddenly unleash a star-ring-level magical pressure, shaking the Dark Evil King’s dark shadow puppetry, a performance only an evil heart could conjure in the wizarding world. The
next moment, the many dark chains extending from the shadow puppetry were stretched open by the star rings.
For the first time, the shadow puppetry could no longer unfold on Locke.
The Dark Evil King hadn’t expected this.
“So that’s how it is. You’ve grown so rapidly in the abyss. It’s no longer as easy to reduce you to a lower dimension as before?”
At this moment, the three star rings behind Locke continued to expand, supporting the bowl formed by the dark shadow puppetry, preventing it from completely covering Locke.
The dark bowl, formed from the shadow puppet show, could only fly back into the hands of the Dark Great Evil King.
“Star Rings… are troublesome.”
“Being separated by worlds, I can’t lower your dimension.”
Of course, face-to-face, it would be easy.
After all, no matter how weak the Dark Great Evil King is, he’s still a three-ring life form, possessing unshakeable power, far surpassing that of the Demon King and the Demon Grand Duke.
The Star Ring-level demon unleashed another dark mental wave impact at Locke.
Locke, meanwhile, took out a large spring corn.
At this moment, the large spring corn acted like a shoulder cannon on Locke’s left shoulder; he hoisted this corn cannon and aimed it at the dark creature.
Simultaneously, his natural circulation force field expanded, neutralizing the mental impact the dark creature launched at him.
The dark demon instantly felt as if it had been captured.
The silks of the large spring corn had captured its spiritual energy and completely locked onto it, making Locke’s subsequent magic impossible to dodge.
The silken energy-locking organ of the Giant Spring Cannon Corn can lock onto its opponent by capturing their spiritual aura.
It then uses this aura as a guide for the next corn-fire attack.
Locke continuously gathered magical pressure into the Giant Spring Cannon Corn’s unique [layered chain of corn kernels]. The Giant Spring Cannon Corn possesses the ability to convert and compress life energy into each kernel, simultaneously converting magical pressure and spiritual aura into life energy, forming a terrifying attack force once a day.
At this moment, the dark demon sensed something was wrong.
He wanted to immediately stop Locke, preventing Locke from using the “One Tree Cannon” attack he was about to unleash.
But at the same time, a beholder shoved him aside.
This beholder was extremely ferocious.
“Dark creature, get out of my way! Don’t get in my way. The Supreme Beholder has ordered me to kill this wizard. He’s my target.”
The demon, after being shoved aside, was instantly enraged in pain.
“What are you? Get out of my way! The Dark Lord has ordered me to kill him!”
“What good are your words!”
The beholder unleashed a mind-shattering gaze at the dark creature, but the dark creature also emitted a dark wave towards the beholder. The two collided, causing the surrounding mountains to fracture, the earth to tremble, and the distant Tianhan River to ripple violently.
At this moment, the belatedly arriving Association President Fura and the witch Rose appeared not far away.
Association President Fura was stunned by the scene.
“Two Star Ring level enemies, and a projection of a Third Ring level dark creature. This…”
“Who is this, luring so many enemies into our little pond at once?”
Association President Fura was anxious and somewhat bewildered. All those present were formidable enemies she needed to treat with caution.
She was confident of defeating the Star Ring Eye Demon and the Star Ring Dark Creature one-on-one, but she couldn’t possibly fight two at once.
Because the forces on the Abyss side and the power system on the Dark Forces side in the Endless Void were not weak.
Association President Fura looked at Locke Augustine, who was calmly surrounded, and was somewhat shocked. Who was this person, so powerful?
The magical plant weapon in his hand also looked… exceptionally ferocious.
After seeing Locke’s face clearly, the Witch Rose was also stunned. She recognized Locke.
“Locke Augustine? What’s he doing here?”
“That magical plant is… the Big Spring Corn, what’s going on? Wasn’t this plant extinct long ago?”
The Witch Rose was stunned.
“Because the only specimen of the Giant Spring Cannon Corn in the world should be with their Rose Council. “
Witch Rose’s eyes gleamed.
“Such a large amount of magical pressure piled up together, this is the Giant Spring Cannon Corn. The Rose Council’s research on the potential of this magical plant was indeed correct. The magical damage that this magical plant can generate is truly unparalleled among Star Ring magical plants.”
At this moment, Locke channeled all the remaining five strands of verdant spiritual energy from his body through the corn silk and stuffed them into the Giant Spring Cannon Corn. At the same time, he converted his magical pressure into spring magic power and filled it into the kernels of the Giant Spring Cannon Corn.
With each strand of spiritual energy converted into magical pressure, the magical pressure of the Giant Spring Cannon Corn would rise a little.
One after another.
At this moment, the Eye Demon and the dark creature had already sensed something was wrong and were preparing to stop him, but fifteen Giant Green Leaf Dragon Sparrows appeared in Locke’s Astral Ring, and a Tree of Prosperity appeared behind him. Then, these fifteen Giant Green Leaf Dragon Sparrows turned into thirty Giant Green Leaf Dragon Sparrows.
Thirty Attila’s Lightning Chains, enchanted by the Great Azure-Leaf Dragonflies, continuously struck the two Star Ring creatures. Although they couldn’t inflict any effective damage, the Attila’s Lightning Chains’ extremely high casting speed and damage still caused some obstruction to the two Star Ring creatures.
The thirty Great Azure-Leaf Dragonflies, like thirty thunderbirds constantly firing lightning, circled around the two Star Ring creatures, preventing them from approaching Locke.
This successfully delayed them.
As Locke inserted the fifth Azure Spirit Breath into the corn silk, the corn silk then converted the Azure Spirit Breath into life energy. At this moment, the corn cob of the Great Spring Cannon Corn was filled with spring magic.
This attack, costing five million magic stones,
was already terrifying.
The next moment, with the assistance of the thirty Great Azure-Leaf Dragonflies, Locke directly fired a cannon at the Star Ring Eye Demon and the Star Ring-level dark creature.
‘Bang!’
Endless spring energy erupted from this corn cannon attack.
A wave of demonic pressure erupted from the two star-ring creatures, but fortunately, this was a sparsely populated mountainous region, so there was no need to worry about harming innocent people.
A massive amount of life energy transformed into a shockwave that filled everyone’s vision.
The projection of the Dark Lord was completely obliterated by this shockwave, letting out a furious laugh before disappearing.
“One day, you will be buried in darkness!”
“The next time we meet, I will bury you in the deepest depths of darkness.”
“Wizard, I will not let you or those wizards behind you go. I will find the true entrance to this world, and that will be the moment of your annihilation.”
At the same time, the Supreme Eye Demon, upon seeing this terrifying shockwave, quickly averted his gaze.
He had to admit that the wizard was now far too powerful, so powerful that without some luck and a long period of scheming, he had no chance of defeating him.
And after all, the wizard wasn’t a true being from the Abyss.
Therefore, the Supreme Eye Demon’s original intentions towards Locke vanished instantly under this attack.
Since that was the case, he would simply pretend Locke didn’t exist from now on.
Although the Child of Chaos is currently in the other party’s hands, the other party is, after all, a wizard, and might abandon the crown one day. Until then, he can wait.
After all, he has already waited so many years.
Of course, if a suitable opportunity arises in the future, he wouldn’t mind taking action, but targeting Locke now is simply too costly.
He can’t afford it.
So he can only give up and pretend the matter doesn’t exist.
Amidst the grand explosion, the witch Fura shielded her eyes from the brilliance.
“This… what kind of magical plant weapon is this? Yes, this is the most powerful weapon I’ve ever wanted.”
“This is too powerful. If our wizards had such a weapon… yes, this is the kind I want.”
The witch Rose frowned.
“The magical plants personally crafted by Locke Augustine are indeed very powerful, but it’s him personally who’s powerful, not Silver Peach Garden. Silver Peach Garden doesn’t have the ability to create such magical plants; it’s just an empty shell. As far as I know, Locke’s current focus is on flying machines; he won’t be making this magical plant weapon for sale.”
A rare hint of apprehension flashed in the witch Rose’s eyes.
After all, Locke had just single-handedly suppressed Star Ring-level enemies from the Abyss and the Dark World right before her eyes.
His ferocity left a deep impression on her.
And… Locke was a Star Ring Wizard!
He was actually a Star Ring Wizard!
