Chapter 972

Chapter 966 Spirit Touch and the Fourth Type Nature Guardian!

Locke followed the wizard Trajan through a series of tunnels, then turned into a corridor, stepping over a soft, brightly colored petal-covered floor, until they stood before a columnar pistil.

Because they had been shrunk, what appeared to Locke and Trajan was a massive pistil column, atop which stood a rose dragon composed of numerous petals.

This rose dragon’s wings were made of various multi-headed roses, and behind her was a dazzling wreath of flowers like a sun crown. A crown of various rose-like magical plants adorned her head. On her chest was a magnificent peach blossom, like a medal pinned to her b*east.

The wizard Trajan cautiously bowed to the flower dragon.

“Ancient Fairy Dragon, I have brought this young wizard here. You are the guardian of this laboratory; now it is up to you to determine whether he is qualified to enter the key laboratory.”

The flower dragon showed no reaction, only staring blankly at Locke and the wizard Trajan.

Trajan frowned and repeated his words, but the dragon still didn’t react.

Trajan thought for a moment, then walked to the base of the pistil and shouted, repeating his words again.

The fairy dragon stirred slightly, looking down at the wizard Trajan. “It’s Trajan! Why are you shouting so loudly? I’m just an old dragon, not deaf. You’re shouting too loudly.” The fairy dragon swayed its tail

and looked at Locke. “Hello, Locke Augustine. I am a third-circle wizard, but I’ve lived for over two thousand years, so I’m quite an old fellow. My memory isn’t very good; I often forget things. With age, my hearing has also been affected, and my eyesight isn’t very good either.”

“I am the guardian of this key laboratory. Every key laboratory has its own guardian. I am a wizard of the School of Prophecy. Please extend your palm; I will make a corresponding prophecy for you.”

The wizard Trajan looked at Locke. “Junior brother, extend your palm. The fairy dragon will place her palm on yours, and then she will make the corresponding prophecy for you.”

“Under normal circumstances, you can enter the key laboratory if there are no problems. Your identity and experience verification have already been completed. Your guarantor is Professor Ekaterina.”

Locke nodded, then bowed to the fairy dragon, saying, “Thank you, sir.”

He extended his palm, but the fairy dragon, standing on the pistil column, showed no intention of asking Locke to come forward, nor did she intend to descend herself. She simply extended her palm to Locke, her dragon claw touching his palm across the air. Then Locke seemed to feel a hand pressing down

on his own. But quickly, it felt more than just a hand pressing against him; it felt as if his entire body was being touched.

However, Locke carefully sensed that this contact didn’t exist.

There was no physical contact, no energy coupling, and no magical resonance.

Yet he still felt touched.

This contact was very deep, so deep that he couldn’t avoid it, like someone who thought they were in an indestructible house, but was inexplicably touched.

This even made Locke feel annoyed.

His anger caused his magical pressure to become violent, naturally leading him to resist this ‘contact’.

Fairy Dragon chuckled softly.

“A very individualistic child. Young, very young, full of energy. I’m using the Prophecy School’s ‘Spiritual Touch’ to understand your past, your present, and even to glimpse your future based on these things. Spiritual Touch is one of the core research areas of the Evocation School, Prophecy School, Conjuration School, and Protection School in the Second Ring.”

Fairy Dragon continued, “In lower-ring magic, the Prophecy School, Illusion School, and Mind School all possess certain magical abilities to create illusions. This led many wizards in the past to believe that perhaps the three schools pointed to the same area in many traditional spells, and that the differences between them weren’t that great. Yet, in some spells, the differences were much greater than we thought, but the wizards at the time couldn’t discern why the differences were so significant.”

“The emergence of Spirit Touch led to a complete separation between the Prophecy School and the Illusion and Mind Schools’ spell models. Furthermore, later analysis of those traditional spell models thoroughly clarified the differences between this school’s illusion magic and the magic of the other two schools.”

Locke nodded. Although the feeling of being ‘touched’ was unusual, the fairy dragon before him was clearly an old third-ring wizard from Golden Crown Mountain, and it was full of goodwill towards him.

Therefore, he didn’t need to react too much.

Locke asked curiously, “Then what is Spirit Touch?”

The fairy dragon’s petal-like eyes brightened slightly.

“Young man, you’re even more active than I expected. So-called ‘spiritual touch’ is the hidden workings of all things. These things aren’t completely independent and independent of each other; rather, there are unseen and imperceptible connections and interactions. Ancient wizards, upon reaching the second level, delved into these areas, which is the same as the spiritual energy you, as a breeder, understand.”

“Each school of thought generally has its own approach to spiritual touch. At the second level, spiritual touch can be simplified as a kind of physical contact.”

“At least this view is correct at the second level.”

“Every person and every thing has its own destiny, and different destinies influence each other. This unseen and intangible interaction can be considered a kind of spiritual touch.”

“This is the prophetic school’s study of spiritual touch. We see the hidden contact of all things from the perspective of destiny.”

“At this moment, our hands are not touching, but our destinies are intertwined. This is the third-circle spell model, ‘Touch of Fate.’ By touching your destiny with my own, I can see your past, present, and even future… Hmm?”

Wizard Trajan looked at Fairy Dragon with some nervousness and asked, “Lady Fairy Dragon, is there a problem?”

Fairy Dragon tilted her head, seemingly deep in thought.

Wizard Trajan had a bad feeling. He gave Locke a look, hoping Locke would do something. It wasn’t uncommon for people to have overcome numerous obstacles to reach the key laboratory, only to be turned away due to identity verification failures.

After all, protecting the safety of key laboratories was an ironclad rule of white wizarding society.

Every key laboratory was extremely important, far more important than the Institute of True Knowledge for training new recruits, so absolutely no security threats could be allowed.

Fairy Dragon looked at Locke.

“You have come into contact with many ancient figures, you possess powerful life magic, your destiny is deeply connected with nature, you are favored by nature, you are nature’s darling.”

“Few wizards trust nature as much as you do.”

“My prophecy for you is—you are a child of nature. Never betray yourself. And in the realm of potions, your destiny has been linked multiple times with a great being.”

Locke asked doubtfully, “May I ask, Lady Fairy Dragon, is this great being the Throne Wizard?”

He was a half-apprentice in potions at the Sea Queen Throne, so if Lady Fairy Dragon’s prophecy pointed to the Sea Queen Throne, it would be perfectly normal.

But Fairy Dragon shook her head slightly.

“No, it’s not. While the Throne Wizard is powerful and worthy of respect, they are still far from being great.”

“You have an ancient lineage in potions, and you possess a certain potential. This potential may come true in the future, or it may disappear as you grow. This potential did not originate from you, but was given to you by someone else. Therefore, this potential can be taken away…” “

I have a piece of advice for you in the realm of potions: digest the potential you possess as soon as possible. Make it completely yours.”

Fairy Dragon’s eyes seemed to pierce through fate.

“Because that possibility, though not originally yours, has become deeply integrated with your traits and transformed into a more complete possibility through your own. It’s a kind of inheritance, a kind of development, but it’s still vulnerable to being usurped, and the situation remains unclear.”

“Once usurped, it might destroy this possibility, which would be bad for you, the world, and civilization. Because this possibility originated from you, the usurper can only change it, not complete it; they can only downgrade it, not upgrade it. Therefore, completing it is your responsibility and obligation.” Wizard

Trajan’s expression was serious.

“Junior Brother, the prophecy of the Fairy Dragon cannot be taken lightly.”

“You need to take this seriously.”

“Um… of course, not too seriously. It’s a matter of balance, and we can’t be too timid because of it.”

Locke began to ponder what his potential in potion-making might actually be.

He had only received two inheritances in total: the first was King Otto’s, and the second was the Sea Queen’s.

Could it be… a reverse potion-making method?

Could it be that if he couldn’t deepen his connection with this possibility, then in the future, this possibility might actually bring danger upon him?

However, wasn’t his pursuit of potion-making under the Sea Queen’s guidance precisely to improve his skills and gain the ability to fully absorb King Otto’s potion-making legacy?

At this moment, the Fairy Dragon continued, “You are also an archaeology wizard. Your future and destiny in archaeology…”

“I don’t know.”

The Fairy Dragon seemed somewhat agitated, taking a half-step back.

“I see a huge trap. You are teetering on the edge of it. I see the threat of death. Your fate is uncertain, but it is heading towards the possibility of death.”

Locke quickly asked the core question.

“Lady Fairy Dragon, should I immediately withdraw from archaeology to escape this trap, or what should I do?”

The Fairy Dragon shook her head slightly.

“Based on my observation, if you choose to withdraw, you will likely step into this trap immediately, my dear kin.”

Locke looked at the Fairy Dragon with suspicion.

“Fellow race? Lady Fairy Dragon, I am a human wizard.”

The Fairy Dragon said, “In the ancient past, you and I were of the same race, because in the eyes of pure-blood wizards, you and I were both born with mixed blood of other races. My dear fellow race, I have seen your past very clearly. No problem. But regarding your future, there are many problems about you that I cannot observe.”

Wizard Trajan asked anxiously, “Lady Fairy Dragon, then will my junior brother be able to qualify for the key laboratory?”

The Fairy Dragon swayed its tail and smiled gently, “Little Trajan, you are too impatient. If you are so impatient, you will definitely suffer because of this when you advance to the third ring wizard.”

Wizard Trajan complained, “When you first met me, you told me that I would have a life-or-death crisis when I advanced to the sun ring. I survived that time, didn’t I?”

The Fairy Dragon said, “But you used the resurrection spring water of the Crown Court. That thing can only be used once in a lifetime.”

Wizard Trajan didn’t care much.

“My teacher doesn’t believe in any prophecies. I don’t really believe in them either,”

Fairy Dragon said. “The witch Catherine was special; she defied multiple inevitable destinies.”

“She was just an exception.”

Fairy Dragon looked at Locke and changed the subject. “Your father was a mortal, and your mother was a first-class apprentice witch. She was ruthless and her destiny was powerful, which makes me think she possessed a very high-level spiritual connection. It could be destiny, or it could be something else. Therefore, I cannot determine your mother’s specific identity.”

“I can feel the powerful and frightening spiritual connection she left on your destiny through your destiny.”

“That residual spiritual connection makes me doubt your identity. This creates a conflict with the origin you wrote down on Mount Golden Crown.”

“That’s one point.”

“Secondly, you have connections to several important beings, beings I cannot see through. Leaving aside the Tower of the Black Sun, as far as I know, you have two great beings on you that I cannot observe, but you have indeed come into contact with them.”

“Thirdly, in breeding you are a child of nature, in potions you possess some kind of unusual potential, the impact of which on this world could be great or small. I’ve never seen such a strange sight before, like a bubble that grows incredibly large when I’m not paying attention, and then rapidly shrinks when I do…”

“And in archaeology, I see the crisis of death.”

“Lock Augustine, you are a wizard shrouded in mystery.”

The flower dragon suddenly vanished from the pistil, appearing behind Locke. Locke turned to look at her and bowed to the two-thousand-year-old dragon witch.

The dragon witch circled Locke.

“Mystery, secrecy, a choice…”

“I’m considering whether it’s the right thing to let you into our key laboratory in the Sky Gardens of Golden Crown Mountain. This concerns my reputation as a prophet.”

“Lock Augustine, let me see you more clearly.”

“Tell me, Locke Augustine, are you really Locke Augustine?”

Locke stiffened instantly. A question suddenly occurred to him—a question he hadn’t worried about much before, but now one that was truly difficult to explain to the wizards here—was

his identity .

Was he Locke Augustine?

Fairy Dragon looked at Locke and said, “My kin, please tell me honestly, who are you!”

Wizard Trajan glanced at Locke, then frowned and looked at Fairy Dragon, saying, “Fairy Dragon, if you continue like this, I’ll have to go to our teacher. My junior brother is our teacher’s last disciple, deeply favored and trusted by him. Even our teacher thinks there’s nothing wrong with him, so I think you shouldn’t be so concerned.”

“Anyway, you’ve already seen his past. Besides, even the most powerful prophet can’t see a wizard’s future. Although we are only second-ring wizards, even second-ring wizards can rival third-ring wizards by stacking magic levels, just like in that small wizarding world.”

“This means that your observation of second-ring wizards as a third-ring prophet cannot be complete.”

Fairy Dragon glanced at Wizard Trajan.

“It’s not that kind of problem.”

“Locke, I want to delve into your destiny and see the real you.”

Locke suddenly felt his own destiny being struck by the Fairy Dragon’s destiny. The Fairy Dragon seemed to want to enter his destiny, and then it did.

The next moment, the Fairy Dragon appeared on the outer edge of Locke’s Sea of Destiny.

“Strong, resilient, reflective, compassionate, and self-aware.”

“You have experienced failure and achieved even more success. You rose step by step from the bottom of nothingness, from a world without magic.”

“Locke Augustine, you have grown exceptionally well as a wizard. I have no complaints about you; it’s a blessing to have you among the younger generation of Mount Golden Crown.”

“These reflections, these doubts, have all transformed into your unwavering faith in pursuing the truth.”

Many bubbles floated in the Sea of Destiny, these were Locke’s past memories.

The Fairy Dragon began to frown, because she wanted to see Locke’s destiny before he became a wizard; her intuition told her that there might be a problem there.

However, even a third-circle prophet could not navigate freely in the Sea of Destiny of a second-circle wizard; she had to traverse this sea of destiny.

As the fairy dragon collided with the bubbles, Locke’s past experiences flashed before her eyes: his rise from the Aurelian Academy, his studies in the Southeastern Region, and his encounter with the witch Sophia.

The fairy dragon hesitated upon seeing Sophia, for she rarely encountered witches with such powerful destinies.

Usually, such cases meant either an old man reincarnated, a new character, a person blessed by the world with extraordinary abilities, a peerless genius who rose from adversity, someone chosen by a high-ring wizard, or a special individual born for unique reasons.

Her lifespan was far longer than she claimed, so she was used to such things.

She just hadn’t expected Locke to be so lucky, becoming a student of such a witch so soon after entering the wizarding world.

Then she skipped over the Six Towers and saw Locke’s past in the Cloud Marsh Wetlands.

The Six Towers were hardly worth noting; even if Locke might be a spy for the wizarding civilization, hostile civilizations wouldn’t bother searching for spies in such a lawless area.

Fairy Dragon witnessed Locke’s growth and couldn’t help but marvel.

“He went from having almost nothing to where he is today. What incredible perseverance and talent! His starting point was lower than most wizards on Golden Crown Mountain. In the past, such wizards were rare.”

After all, Locke was essentially an ordinary person from a remote area in the southeastern corner of the region.

Fairy Dragon stubbornly gazed into the deeper reaches of the Sea of Destiny.

“No, I must see your destiny at the moment of your birth. The connection between those two great figures might be negligible, perhaps you stumbled upon it by chance, but your mother’s side… I must see it clearly.”

The Fairy Dragon chanted a spell, heading deeper into Locke’s Sea of Destiny. Locke’s Sea of Destiny seemed enraged, whipping up fierce winds that tried to drive her away.

“Found it.”

The Fairy Dragon chanted a spell, shrinking her body and diving directly into the depths of Locke’s Sea of Destiny. She plunged in, determined to see Locke’s destiny at birth.

The Fairy Dragon had found two targets.

One target was so distant that even with her level of divination magic, she couldn’t reach it.

This forced the Fairy Dragon to abandon it. She rushed towards Corfu Island. She needed to find out who Locke’s parents were; at least she needed to know that before she could vouch for Locke’s origins and allow him into this crucial laboratory.

Golden Crown Mountain…

she absolutely could not allow this place to be threatened!

She headed in that direction.

On a rainy night, in a castle on Corfu, Locke was born.

A witch, cradling her children, murmured to herself,

“Power… I need power… One of these children will grant me power beyond what I currently know.”

“This is what I interpret. Without my existence in this era, this plan can be implemented. Then I can leave this era, and everyone and everything here will be irrelevant to me.”

She suddenly looked up. “Have you seen enough?”

“You dare!”

Those were merciless eyes, devoid of anger, rage at being spied upon, shame, or emotion. She was like a heartless machine, her eyes even filled with divinity.

All emotions seemed to be repelled by her.

The witch extended a finger, tracing a line through the air. In an instant, the fairy dragon screamed. She was struck by pure magical energy, thrown backward, and blasted out of that part of the Sea of Destiny.

“That witch…”

“Who is she?”

Fairy Dragon sensed her ruthlessness. Simply by being swept away by her destiny, which contained vast historical information, she was transported to an unknown location.

She wandered aimlessly in Locke’s Sea of Destiny.

The next moment, terror filled her eyes, for the space beneath her suddenly transformed into a gigantic demonic dragon, its jaws wide open, ready to devour her and her destiny.

“This is…”

Sweat poured down Fairy Dragon’s forehead, for she hadn’t expected that merely venturing into the Sea of Destiny of a low-level wizard would trigger a life-or-death crisis for her.

‘Yes, he is closely connected to the Tower of the Black Sun.’

‘I delved into his secrets through the Touch of Destiny, but in the process, I easily touched the destiny of the Tower of the Black Sun. Once that happens… I will be devoured by my magic.’ ‘I

‘ve been very careful. But…’

‘Just now, I was swept away by the destiny of that unknown witch, and now my magic is out of control. Oh no, the destiny of the Tower of the Black Sun is going to devour me.’ Once my destiny is devoured, wouldn’t I become a puppet of the Tower of the Black Sun? Damn it, the Tower of the Black Sun is too powerful in sacrificial magic; perhaps it already possesses similar magic.

The Fairy Dragon hadn’t expected to shoot herself in the foot; now she was essentially being devoured by her own magic, and thus had to face its own magical power.

The demonic dragon opened its maw wide, leaping up from Locke’s Ocean of Destiny, intending to swallow her whole.

The Fairy Dragon barely dodged its bite, but when she looked up, she saw a dark sun appear in the sky.

Within the dark sun emerged even more demonic dragons…

The sweat on the Fairy Dragon’s forehead increased even more.

“Damn it, if this continues, I’ll definitely be swallowed by the fate of the Black Sun Tower, and I’ll die from my own magic. This kid has too many lightning bolts on him; he’s practically a collection of lightning bolts. If I’m not careful while peering into his fate, I’ll step on a bolt.”

“This is troublesome. Wait, based on my previous perception using the Touch of Fate, he should have connections with at least two other beings of the same or even higher level as the Black Sun Tower. I’ll use the third-circle spell model [Fate Rhapsody] to summon those fates and then teleport myself there. That should be enough to get rid of this dragon. At least that way I can avoid… the current danger.”

Fairy Dragon hurriedly chanted a spell, and just before a dragon leaped up from the ocean of fate, opened its mouth to swallow her, and was about to close its jaws,

Fairy Dragon’s figure vanished into the dragon’s mouth.

Then, she appeared above a lava field, and instantly, as a third-circle life form, her permanent defensive force field shell was scorched by the heat of the lava.

The lava seemed to be bubbling and gurgling within Locke’s ocean of destiny.

“Heh… they actually managed to find this place.”

A voice emerged from beneath the lava.

“The prophets of the modern magical age are truly formidable. This is the first time a prophet has found this place using prophetic magic. Identity verification in your era is so troublesome. Secrets will become increasingly scarce.”

“That’s a problem.” Fairy

Dragon composed herself and said, “Secrets are naturally becoming fewer and fewer, aren’t they, Senior?”

“In the past, every wizard had their own secrets, which caused a lot of trouble. In the modern age of magic, before anyone is to assume an important position, a professional soothsayer will verify their past, present, and future identity to determine if there are any problems. Although we have uncovered their secrets, we remain silent.”

“We won’t tell anyone. In this way, the reduction of secrets makes everything more stable.”

The being beneath the magma said, “Sage, everyone needs secrets. Everyone wants to protect their secrets, and you are no exception.”

The next moment, Fairy Dragon suddenly disappeared again. The Rhapsody of Fate, a spell she couldn’t even precisely control, was now driving her destiny to connect with the destiny of another great being.

Fairy Dragon found herself in what appeared to be a vast primeval forest. A chill ran through her; just as she was about to observe this last great being connected to Locke, before she could even see anything clearly, she discovered a giant crater beneath her. A tremendous gravitational force emanated from the crater, pulling her completely in.

“Oh no!”

The fairy dragon looked down and was terrified. She saw an immense gravitational pull emanating from the giant crater beneath her.

‘This is… the phenomenon of the Fate Pit, which only appears when I observe the fate of an existence whose magical pressure far exceeds my own. I’ve actually encountered this in the Fate Ocean of a low-level wizard.’

The fairy dragon didn’t have time to think further; after all, the Fate Ocean was inherently mysterious, and its boundaries weren’t perfectly defined.

Even if there were some strange phenomena within, that was perfectly normal.

“This is…”

The fairy dragon realized that her own fate was dissipating, those images being pulled out by the gravity of the Fate Pit and falling into Locke’s Fate Ocean. This could very well cause Locke, as a being within this Fate Ocean, to see parts of her past.

In these images, the fairy dragon, as the only fairy dragon in this world, possessed a long life and unique talents.

As a true dragon nears death, her body withers like a wilting flower. She then transforms into a seed, which she plants in the earth, allowing her to sprout and grow a flower, which then hatches anew from its bud. This is her

nature.

This is the fairy dragon’s talent, and also her limit.

Because a fairy dragon is merely a creature with a common third-ring bloodline, she can continuously regenerate through the cycle of blooming and withering, but this bloodline’s constraint limits her power beyond the fairy dragon’s boundaries.

She does have her secrets. She tells Golden Crown Mountain that she is only a fairy dragon over two thousand years old, but this is a lie. She fears this disguised rebirth ability will attract the attention of wizards, so she conceals the fact that she has already reincarnated eight times.

As the last fairy dragon in the world, and possibly the longest-living fairy dragon, she cannot determine the limit of her reincarnation.

She doesn’t know how many times she can reincarnate.

In the final millennium of her life, she chose to become the guardian of Mount Golden Crown.

Although each time she was reborn as a seed, she lost most of her memories and power, needing to grow anew, the Fairy Dragon grew from a fledgling to her current state time and again.

In this life, out of fear that she might not be able to reincarnate again, she learned divination magic and reached the third ring. To obtain more life resources, especially the precious spiritual essence, she came to Mount Golden Crown.

“Damn it. My magic can’t escape this gravitational pull of fate.”

The Fairy Dragon flapped her wings, but still couldn’t break free from this gravitational pull.

She was constantly sliding towards the giant pit, about to fall into it and disappear.

Once fate was swallowed up, she would no longer be herself.

This wasn’t an attack from Locke; even as a second-ring wizard, Locke didn’t have this ability. It was the inherent danger of the magical backlash of divination magic itself. It

was just that Locke had too much lightning, blasting out her magical backlash.

The Fairy Dragon tried to fly upwards, but continued to fall towards the giant pit of fate.

“Once I fall into the abyss of fate deep within this young wizard’s ocean of destiny, where I will end up is unknown. I don’t want to use myself as material for exploring the truth!”

The fairy dragon chanted a spell, drawing a triangle in the air with her dragon claws. The Triangle of Fate struck the abyss of fate, only to be swallowed up instantly.

“Whose fate is this? Why is it so terrifying?”

The fairy dragon felt terrified.

She gradually felt herself unable to resist this gravity, slowly being drawn into the abyss of fate.

At that moment, Locke’s voice suddenly appeared.

‘Wait, the World Tree, she is deeply in sync with the forces of nature, perhaps she can become a part of us?’

The next moment, the fairy dragon saw a leaf heading towards her. Looking at the World Tree leaf in front of her, she didn’t hesitate. First, she grabbed the World Tree leaf with her dragon claws.

In that instant, the World Tree leaf entered her body and deeply merged with her power.

The fairy dragon became a Type IV Nature Guardian.

The abyss of fate also disappeared.

Fairy Dragon opened her eyes, immediately receiving a flood of information and understanding her duty: a Type IV Nature Guardian—an Ecological Restorer. She would possess the ability and responsibility to repair ecosystems.

Fairy Dragon seized the opportunity and quickly left the Ocean of Destiny.

…

In the key laboratory, on the pistil column, Fairy Dragon reappeared.

Fairy Dragon looked at Locke with a complex expression. She had originally wanted to find out who Locke’s mother was, his true identity, and uncover all his secrets, but she had almost become entangled in Locke’s secrets and never returned.

Moreover, in the process, her secrets were also revealed to Locke.

The Fairy Dragon shook her head, then suddenly chuckled, “Fine, Locke Augustine, you’ve passed my test. Your identity is fine; you can enter the key laboratory.”

Locke bowed to her, saying, “Lady Fairy Dragon, thank you for your work.”

The Fairy Dragon swayed her tail, looked at Locke, and tentatively asked, “Locke, you can’t tell me my secret…”

Locke looked at the Fairy Dragon and said, “Of course, Lady Fairy Dragon, we’re all in the same boat now. Naturally, I won’t tell any wizards your secret.”

The Fairy Dragon was quite speechless. To prevent Locke from being someone’s spy, even if Locke didn’t know he was, she wanted to dig deep into Locke’s secrets.

She ended up digging all the way to the World Tree, and to survive, she even received a World Tree leaf from it.

That made her a Guardian of Nature. She

was indeed on Locke’s side now.

Now she didn’t need to verify Locke’s identity anymore, because she was directly on his side, which left the Fairy Dragon quite speechless.

However, upon reflection, being able to directly contact the World Tree and become a Guardian of Nature wasn’t such a bad thing.

And she had to thank Locke, because if Locke hadn’t spoken up when she was about to fall into the giant pit, she might have been dead.

The fairy dragon swayed its tail and laughed, “Lock Augustine, thank you for earlier. I understand, I owe you a favor this time.”

“I’ll find a chance to repay you in the future.”

Wizard Trajan was somewhat bewildered, because from his perspective, he truly had no idea what had just happened.

Why had the fairy dragon suddenly gone from being suspicious of Locke to being so close to him, even starting to use jargon that only the two of them could understand?

The Fairy Dragon Witch said, “Locke, those questions about you won’t be investigated further after my review. However, next time you undergo a similar level of identity verification, you’d better make sure you can answer one question first: Who are you?”

Locke and the Fairy Dragon Witch locked eyes.

He had already experienced firsthand the terrifying nature of identity verification in this world—divine intervention that allowed them to foresee your past, present, and future.

He would indeed pay attention to this next time, but that was a matter for the future; at least for now, he could enter this key laboratory.

The fairy dragon witch said, “And Locke, you must be extremely careful. I see at least two imminent dangers in your destiny, one from archaeology and the other from potions.”

“The archaeological trap is too complex; I didn’t understand it. But the danger in potions comes from a legacy you possess.”

“That legacy is enough to attract attention, to make people want to usurp it, or even seize it before you can.”

“This seizure is likely not through force, but through other means. In short, you need to improve your potions skills as soon as possible. Only then can you be unafraid of others trying to take your place by seizing time and lying through their teeth.”

The dragon witch’s figure disappeared from the pistil.

Locke breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this.

The wizard Trajan also breathed a sigh of relief.

“Although I don’t know what happened, we’re really lucky. That dragon isn’t easy to talk to. A researcher was previously deemed to have questionable credentials and was held up by her for years. She’s extremely strict about these matters to avoid making mistakes in her work.”

“I didn’t expect her to be so agreeable this time. What happened between you and her in your Sea of Destiny? What did you do to make her so agreeable, treating you like one of her own?”

Turajan was also amazed.

What did Locke do to make the fairy dragon’s attitude change so drastically!

She’s actually so agreeable!
