Chapter 171 - 168: Kill Him, Kill Him!

"She tried to kill me!" Mo Qianqian said coldly.

"Old Mo, big brother Old Mo, I’m begging you. Look, I don’t want your two pills anymore. For the sake of the Shunfeng Steed bringing you along, can you just let her go?" Zhu Daoren was on the verge of tears as he pleaded. "Or how about you wait until we reach Black Dragon City before you kill her? Otherwise, I’ll have done this job for nothing, and my renowned reputation will be ruined!"

Feng Chan was a direct descendant of the Feng Family. If she died under his watch, he would be in massive trouble. At the very least, he would have to refund the money he had already collected, and his reputation would take a severe hit. Furthermore, if she died here, these bandits in the Realm of Chaos would have an excuse to start a war with his caravan. Even though the Eternal Commerce Association wasn’t afraid of a fight, a battle would result in heavy casualties on their side.

"For your sake, I will spare her life," Mo Qianqian said coldly. "But the favor you did for me won’t stretch far. Keep your mouth shut. If there’s a next time, not even your reputation will save you."

"You—!" Furious, Feng Chan opened her mouth to curse at him, but upon meeting his fierce, glaring eyes, an inexplicable surge of terror gripped her heart, choking the words in her throat.

"Just you wait. Once we reach Black Dragon City, I will definitely make sure you die!" she thought coldly.

Only then did Mo Qianqian release his grip on her throat.

Feng Chan’s face was frosty. Just as she was about to speak, Zhu Daoren hurried over and interrupted, "Lady, my dear patron, can you please keep quiet? You’re both my guests. Can’t whatever issues you have wait until we reach Black Dragon City? We can’t trust these bandits. If you two keep fighting, I really won’t be able to control the situation."

"Zhu Daoren, you..." Realizing the truth in his warning, Feng Chan finally kept her mouth shut. Originally, she had hoped to use the protection of Zhu Daoren’s group to have the bandits kill this man. However, just as Zhu Daoren pointed out, these outlaws were utterly unreliable. If a real fight broke out, the bandits might turn on the Eternal Commerce Association’s men as well. If things spiraled out of control, she would be in real danger.

"Thank you, Brother Mo! Thank you, Brother Zhu!" Li Chen hurried forward, bowing and expressing his gratitude repeatedly.

"You useless coward! I’m getting bullied, and this is how you act? You’re absolutely pathetic!" Feng Chan began to hurl abuse at Li Chen again.

"Yes, yes, yes..." Li Chen could only nod submissively, trying desperately to coax and pacify her.

On the other side, the bandits were left speechless by the display. They simply turned and walked away, completely ignoring Feng Chan.

The members of the Eternal Commerce Association collectively breathed a sigh of relief. They had managed to escape a perilous situation unscathed. In a way, this seemingly reckless young man had actually saved them.

Three days later.

Mo Qianqian and the group finally arrived at Black Dragon City.

The walls of Black Dragon City towered dozens of feet high. Constructed from a unique, pitch-black stone, the ramparts were heavily scarred with the marks of swords, sabers, and beast claws, bearing witness to a long, violent history. Outside the city gates, pedestrians were sparse.

A military-style unit of guards stood watch at the entrance. Each guard wore a black robe embroidered with golden dragons, radiating an invisible, murderous aura. It was evident they were battle-hardened veterans who had clawed their way out of mountains of corpses, completely different from ordinary guards.

Just outside the perimeter of the city’s guards stood a separate group of about a dozen people. Dressed in a variety of outfits, they didn’t look like an official patrol unit; instead, they appeared to be a welcoming party waiting for someone.

"Here we are! Our mission is complete!" Zhu Daoren announced to them. He then shouted toward the group waiting ahead, "Feng Family! I, Zhu Daoren, have safely delivered your people!"

Mo Qianqian furrowed his brow slightly. It turned out that the group ahead was here to receive this woman in the pale green dress.

"Many thanks to the Eternal Commerce Association. Your people are as reliable as ever. We hope to work together again in the future," a middle-aged man in a green robe, who appeared to be the leader, said with a smile.

"Thanks," Mo Qianqian said. He dismounted his Spiritual Steed and headed straight for the gates of Black Dragon City.

"Halt!" Feng Chan immediately called out, stopping him in his tracks. "Did I say you could leave?"

Mo Qianqian’s expression darkened slightly as he turned back to face her. "What is the meaning of this?"

"What is the meaning of this?!" Feng Chan shrieked furiously. "How dare you ask me that? You dared to lay a hand on me! You dared to grab me by the throat! Right now, I’m going to ensure you die!"

"What?!" The Feng Family members ahead erupted in anger. Someone had actually dared to threaten a direct descendant of their family? And even choked her by the throat?

SWISH!

At that very moment, Mo Qianqian moved. He hadn’t walked far and was still within striking distance. In a blur of motion, he lunged straight at Feng Chan.

Li Chen’s face drastically changed. He lunged forward to intervene, hastily throwing himself in front of Feng Chan as a human shield. However, Mo Qianqian blasted him away with a single effortless strike and seamlessly continued his charge.

"How insolent!" the middle-aged man in the green robe roared. Radiating a formidable aura, he sprinted rapidly toward Mo Qianqian.

The rest of the Feng Family men moved in unison, charging forward. Instantly, a suffocating, murderous intent swept over the area. However, they were too late. Feng Chan’s strength was completely negligible before Mo Qianqian. With one swift motion, his hand clamped down on her throat.

Gripping her neck, he dragged her off her Spiritual Steed and slammed her onto the ground.

"You... you still dare to lay a hand on me?! This is Black Dragon City! My Feng Family is based right here!" Feng Chan shrieked, overflowing with rage.

Sensing attackers approaching from behind, Mo Qianqian pivoted on his heel. He lifted Feng Chan up as a shield, forcing himself face-to-face with the incoming crowd.

"Take your hands off her!" the middle-aged man roared furiously, refusing to halt his headlong charge.

Mo Qianqian threw a vicious left punch straight into Feng Chan’s arm.

CRUNCH!

The devastating blow completely shattered her shoulder joint. Her entire arm was ripped off from the impact, flying through the air as blood sprayed wildly like a fountain.

"AHHHH!" Feng Chan let out a bloodcurdling scream.

"Move one more step and see what happens!" Mo Qianqian barked.

Shocked by the gory display, the middle-aged man and the rest of the Feng Family men instantly slammed to a halt. Zhu Daoren and the members of the Eternal Commerce Association were equally horrified.

They had completely washed their hands of the situation, but none of them expected this young man to be so ruthless and decisive. He had literally blown Feng Chan’s arm off. Now, Zhu Daoren was absolutely certain—if he hadn’t intervened earlier on the road, this guy would have slaughtered Feng Chan on the spot without a second thought.

"You... stay your hand! If you have demands, you can negotiate with our Feng Family!" the middle-aged man in the green robe urged hastily, his tone softening considerably.

"My wife!" Li Chen cried out in panic, attempting to rush forward again. However, a single piercing glare from Mo Qianqian froze him in his tracks. Dropping to his knees, he begged for mercy, "Brother Mo, I beg you! Please spare her life! She realizes her mistake now. As long as you let her go, I’ll do anything you ask."

"You’re actually kneeling for someone like her?" Mo Qianqian looked down at Li Chen. "A man’s dignity is worth its weight in gold. She is not worth your knees."

"Ahhh..." Feng Chan continued to wail in agony. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine that in the Realm of Chaos, right at the gates of Black Dragon City, and in front of her own family members, someone would dare to mutilate her so viciously. Her arm had been completely pulverized.

"Kill him! Kill him now!" she shrieked hysterically.

"Since you’re in such a rush to die, I’ll grant your wish!" Mo Qianqian clenched his right hand.

CRUNCH!

Feng Chan’s throat was completely crushed under his grip, sending another geyser of blood into the air.

Her eyes bulged wide open. It was obvious that, even in death, she couldn’t believe an obscure, nameless youth had actually dared to end her life.

The middle-aged man in the green robe was stunned motionless. Had he really just murdered a direct, genius descendant of the Feng Family right in front of their faces? The other members of the family reeled in shock, completely blindsided by his audacity. Was this guy not afraid of death?

Zhu Daoren and his men were equally paralyzed. He actually killed her? Right in front of the Feng Family?

A million curses stampeded through Zhu Daoren’s mind as he thought, "If you were going to kill her, you should have done it earlier! Even killing her in front of us would have been far better than doing it in front of her own family!"

Could it be that this guy really gave him that much face, holding off on the murder until now just to respect his earlier request?
