Chapter 182 - 179: Is This Kid Out of His Mind?

Suddenly, a group of seven or eight people rushed forward from the surroundings. These young men immediately surrounded Mo Qianqian, causing him to furrow his brows.

"This territory is under the control of the Imperial Alliance. Do you have a death wish, daring to trespass into our restricted grounds?" one of the youths shouted angrily.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

Waves of powerful auras surged toward Mo Qianqian from all sides. Most belonged to those at the late stages of the Spirit Profound Realm, while two carried the distinct pressure of the early-stage Realm of Communication with Ghosts.

"Since you’ve trespassed into the Imperial Alliance’s restricted grounds, hand over everything you have on you. Otherwise, don’t blame us for being merciless," the same youth threatened.

"Uh..." Mo Qianqian could not help but freeze in surprise.

Was this a robbery? Before he entered, there had been no one guarding the entrance. The moment he stepped inside, they rushed out from the corners and rooms, surrounded him, and unleashed their auras as a threat. And their ultimate goal was to take his belongings? How was this any different from common bandits?

He even wondered if there was actually anything valuable in Heilong Town, or if the Imperial Alliance had intentionally spread rumors to lure people here just to fleece them. As long as the victims weren’t top-tier experts, a single powerful guardian could easily rob anyone who walked in. It was an incredibly fast way to make money.

Inside Heilong Town, the few pedestrians wandering the streets all turned their attention toward the entrance.

"Someone else arrived."

"Another person fell for it. Who knows how much money the Imperial Alliance has robbed recently."

"Some are rich, but others might not be. That teenager doesn’t look like he has any money."

"You never know. Word has spread recently, and many people from major factions and families are hurrying over. He might be some young master out for worldly experience."

The surrounding crowd began to whisper among themselves, gathering in twos and threes to watch the spectacle.

"Which dynasty do you belong to?" Mo Qianqian asked, his gaze sweeping over the eight people surrounding him.

The Imperial Alliance was formed by a coalition of one empire and four dynasties. Back in the Great Xia Dynasty, the royal family had helped him. If these people were from the Great Xia Dynasty, he would show them mercy. It was better to clarify things first.

"Hmph, trying to pull connections? Let me tell you, that trick won’t work here," the leading youth in green sneered, his expression utterly ruthless.

"Exactly! Did you think you could just claim to be from our dynasty and we’d let this go?" another youth chimed in with a curse.

"It’s not impossible to talk it out. Tell us which dynasty you’re from," a third youth shouted.

"I am from the Great Xia Dynasty. Are any of you from there?" Mo Qianqian asked.

"Hahaha... He really is trying to pull strings. Kid, did you just take a wild guess?" one of the youths laughed. "Too bad for you! Not a single person in our squad is from the Great Xia Dynasty!"

"Enough nonsense. Hand over everything you have," the leading youth in green demanded in a dark tone.

"I think you misunderstand." Mo Qianqian shook his head. "I’m not here to trespass into your restricted grounds. I’m here to rob you."

"What?" The group was momentarily stunned.

"Tell me your dynasties so I can decide whether to go easy on you." A smile crept onto Mo Qianqian’s face. "Well, if you obediently hand over everything you have, I might just spare you the beating."

"What did you just say?" The entire group was dumbfounded.

He came to rob them? And he wanted them to state their dynasties so he could go easy on them? A sixteen- or seventeen-year-old boy ran into Heilong Town and boldly declared he was going to rob them—had this kid lost his mind?

"Hahaha, someone actually came to Heilong Town single-handedly and said he wants to rob us?"

"Is this kid out of his mind?"

"Does he really think he can defeat us all by himself, let alone everyone from the Imperial Alliance stationed here?"

"This is probably just another spoiled brat who’s been pampered a bit too much."

The group laughed out loud, their anger giving way to sheer amusement.

One of them, a youth in gray, sneered, "We are from the Great Zhou Dynasty and the Great Qi Dynasty. Kid, I’d love to see how you plan on going easy on us."

"We’re not your fellow countrymen, so please show us some mercy!" another mocked sarcastically.

"Come on, come on! Leave me alive! No, leave me half-alive, how about that?"

"Hahaha..."

The group erupted into roaring laughter.

Normally, their days consisted of nothing but threatening people and stealing their belongings. Since most people didn’t dare to resist, it was quite profitable, but it had grown undeniably boring. They hadn’t expected to encounter such an oddball today.

"Here, here, this is my head! You don’t need to go too easy on me. Just leaving me half a skull will do," a youth in white said, pointing at his own head.

"Alright, I’ll grant your wish!"

As soon as Mo Qianqian spoke, he activated his Spirit Body, which instantly materialized behind the youth in white. Then, the Spirit Body reached out and grabbed the young man’s head.

"Grant my wish? Let’s see how you grant my wish." The youth in white was practically dying of laughter. He had never met someone who could boast to such an absurd degree.

The other members of the Imperial Alliance sneered in agreement. They had seen arrogant people before, but never someone this brazen. Today, they wanted to see exactly what kind of skills this sixteen- or seventeen-year-old boy possessed—and how humiliating his impending defeat would be.

"Grant Zhou Hui’s wish? I can’t believe he actually said that, hahaha..." The group burst into laughter once again.

But in the very next moment—

SNAP!

Zhou Hui’s head was suddenly violently twisted around. His neck snapped completely as a fountain of blood sprayed wildly into the air.

"What?!"

The surrounding youths recoiled in shock, their laughter coming to an abrupt halt. Everyone’s eyes went wide as utter disbelief washed over their faces.

"How is that possible? He didn’t even move, yet the head of an Imperial Alliance member was twisted off?" The bystanders who had gathered to watch were also completely dumbstruck.

Seeing the stunned expressions of the remaining seven Imperial Alliance members, Mo Qianqian threw his hands up in a helpless gesture. "He asked for it. You can’t blame me!" he said with a smile.

Then, adopting a gentle and negotiable tone, Mo Qianqian added, "Now, if you hand over everything you have, I’ll leave you half-alive. What do you say?"

"A Spirit Master! He’s a Spirit Master! Kill him!"

The leading youth in green finally snapped back to reality. Drawing his blade, he lunged fiercely at Mo Qianqian.

The other six instantly came to their senses as well, drawing their weapons and charging forward with murderous intent. When facing a Spirit Master, launching a close-range attack was always the best strategy!

"You dare kill a member of the Imperial Alliance?!" one of the youths in gray roared, thrusting his sword toward Mo Qianqian.

But in the next instant, the longsword of a youth standing right next to him was suddenly yanked sideways by an invisible force, slicing cleanly through the gray-clothed youth’s throat.

SLASH!

Blood spurted into the air as the youth in gray was instantly killed on the spot.

The youth holding the sword instantly turned pale with horror. He had not swung that blade; his arm had been forcefully seized and redirected by someone else to strike his comrade.

Yet, in that very same split second, the sword that had just killed the youth in gray swung back—slashing violently toward its own master.
